as i always tell my apprentice, always make life easier for yourself, before taking the calliper carrier off, shove a flat screwdriver down into the disc vent to lock it, then you will be able to get the disc screws out easier, might of even come out without snapping... keep up the good work young man
Nice, when I'm doing the front discs before I remove the calliper I grab hold of it from behind and pull it toward myself to push the piston back, but first remove the brake fluid reservoir cap
I’d be changing the brake & clutch fluid as well , I did this the same time on both our vehicles recently on changing the brake pads & discs , the fluid on the clutch circuit was blacker than a refuse bag but dark yellow on the brake side on both cars , both drive flawlessly & clutch is like new again like it left the factory (63 reg focus & 64 reg C-Max) 🤙
That last rear disk looks like it got very hot at some point , could just be the camera ect . Hubnuts had his share of free advertising from this video Mitch 😉.😂. Should be like a different car now .
If you mean euro car parts ? They too have a reputation of giving you anything just to get you back out the door , I’ve been there , pathetic overpriced company. Yes AUTODOC are a waiting game but much cheaper than dealer & euro crap parts .
@@richie674 I suppose I like the fact that if there is a problem with a part from ECP I can drive 10mins to the store & get an exchange or refund as well.

What a great bf you are, Mitch, fixing Lauren's brakes on a day off. I hope she appreciates what a star she has caught herself!
Cheers pal, yes she appreciates it! 😎 She does a lot for me too 👍🏻
Looks good. Another tip if youre using a G-Clamp, is to use the old brake pad with the clamp on the piston to centre the push point
Agreed, this is also a great method! 👍🏻

Great idea, I sometimes do this but never gets the calliper fully pushed back 👍🏻
Always nice fella looking after lovely Lauren but maybe it should be mini brakes you could be sorting out for her 😂😂😂
I’d love to be changing a set of mini brakes mate! 😁

Nice job, lets see you do a full service on Lauren's car next time, please.
Done that a few years back on video 😆
Brake fluid change next... :)
Done earlier this year, along with a full service 😎
Just subscribed been watching for probably a 18 months off and on. Who dose her MOT normally 👀🏴
Thank you for subscribing to the channel mate! I do all her vehicle maintenance 👍🏻
Do AUTODOC deliver fast?
Parts ship from Germany, so it can take a few days sometimes 👍🏻
Lovely old job
Cheers mate!
Credit where it’s due. Your girlfriend knows how to kerb an alloy.
The car is second hand. In her defence all the alloys were badly curbed before she purchased it… 👍🏻
Great job you should have painted the brake calipers
Thank you! What colour? 🤣
Grand old job fella..
Thank you pal!
I just go with Euro car, Auto doc has reputation of long waits & wrong orders.
