Technically they weren't they just know none of them lied or anything course that probably doesn't matter to shido but they probably think joker was merely framed and then used his powers to fake his death especially since the news didn't say the guard died all they really know about is the fact the calling card was planted and anyone could of done that joker never even says he sent the calling card to Okumera for all they know the two deaths are just some random homeless person seeing a mental shutdown and adding a calling card.
In my first game Joker dies :( So it wasn't fake. And then, I play the second game (not at the begging, just play my last save before the bad ending) and when again people said Joker committed suicide I was like "what I did wrong now?"
@@bradDark6941 oh sorry bro. I have a Ps4 for that reason, exclusive game of Sony. I can enjoy God of War, Bloodborne, The last of us... I don't have Nintendo, but I would poke to play Zelda, or Mario Oddysey.
Imagine if we had a confidant who was always super chil about everything. Then later after the fake suicide thing, they open up with a messages that says "ey yo you dead or something"
Its really heartwarming, to see them all worry about his safety like that. Just goes to show you how going out of your way for others can result in meaningful relationships.
Yeah, that would've been great. There are many cases where a story's retelling adds a new character that is inserted into the story too much; Kasumi is the first case I've seen where the new character isn't inserted into the story _enough._
Pro life tip, if someone you know was arrested by police and you are afraid it might spell trouble for you, erase everything you can on your end, starting by messages on apps like Telegram. Imagine the police receiving those texts! It would have made rounding them all up so easy, Yoshida even called Joker his ally! It's heartwarming to know that they care about him(us) but it always struck me as stupid. Don't make their lives any easier, don't make small talk in person if they call you up, much less send texts to a phone that might be in their hands. At least Takemi and others were indirect, just asking unrelated questions.
There are twenty-three confidants in P5R. Seven of them are Phantom Thieves, who, plus two others, are in on the plan. (9 total) Nine of them check in via text, and one in person. (19 total) Two of them are otherworldly beings in the Velvet Room with no need to check-in. (21 total) One is Akechi. I doubt I need to elaborate on that. That leaves Maruki as the sole confidant who neither checks in nor has an excuse not to. Even with [3rd Semester Spoilers], I find it hard to believe that he wouldn't have known or cared about the news...
It really bothers me that Maruki doesn't send as much as a message Joker's way. Like Maruki's Rank 10 is automatic as soon as you have him at Rank 9, and it's on November 18th. You'd think Maruki would have a bit more of a reaction considering that he said that wouldn't be the last time they see each other. He saw Joker and definitively learned about him being a Phantom Thief literally 2 days before Joker's supposed death, yet he just doesn't even bother to check in to see if someone who he had a bond with is still alive
This cutscene (I think) solidified my thoughts that P5 was my favorite game of all time. And what Ryuji says at the end oml. Also, Sojiro is literally my father
i LOVE this part of the game. It really sells you on that the PT have failed on their goal. With all falling apart in the end, the characters appearing confused and lost and even the choice in music its just... it hits even harder the more hours you put into the game.
That's the reason why she is the only one girl who said she loves the MC without hesitate when you reach the Confidant lvl 9, Ann does but is like a whisper.
I romanced Haru on my 1st play though, specifically before Sae's boss fight (I don't think that's intended). I felt so bad for Haru because she was with her rapey fiance while hearing the news of the person she loves commit suicide.
I dated futaba on my first playthrough in royal(4th in general, dated her most of those), and kasumi getting close to him like that in front of futaba...was a little awkward😂😂
On topic about the video, did anyone find it weird that Futaba actually said Kasumi by her first name and not her last? (She kinda did later on though) Everyone other than Joker calls her Yoshizawa because...you know... Not just that, in the JP version of the scene, Futaba NEVER called Kasumi by her first name. So, is this some kind of error in the English version??
It sort of makes sense If you consider the fact that Futaba isn't a student at Shujin. Joker could have just told her the name and went with it since she wouldn't have any idea who she was in the first place, since she doesn't go to Shujin and wouldn't know about the drama that happened.
@@trocer2235 And yet, she called her Yoshizawa later during the scene. *P5R SPOILERS INCOMING* Also, the news of Kasumi's death must have spread throughout the country since she's somewhat well known. So, there's a possibility Futaba might have known of that news.
@@Mikura39 Whatever she wants to call her, I don't really want to go deep into that. My explanation only serves to give reason to why she would call her Kasumi in the first place. And regarding the news, it has already been over half a year since the incident happened. Unless she was THAT famous that she became a household name or her death was covered multiple times over the span of a few weeks, it would be easily forgotten unless you're closely involved to either her family, or the gymnastics scene. I mean let's be honest here, do you even know who the top gymnast of your country is? Because I don't.
@@trocer2235 Well duh. I never cared about that stuff in the first place. That's definitely something I agree with. Calling people by their last names is a thing in Japan as it is considered respectful to strangers, celebrities or people who're not close to you. So, it kinda threw me off a bit when Futaba called her by her first name in the ENG version despite the fact that she's not close to her. Judging by the flashbacks, Kasumi Yoshizawa seemed pretty famous to me. That's what I assumed. So her death must have spread almost everywhere. Even if you're not interested in sports or gymnastics, you're bound to at least encounter one article about her death. At least, that's what happened to me.
@@Mikura39 Yeah, but one article isn't gonna be much help when it comes to remembering things that happened over half a year ago. For Futaba, maybe it's enough. But given what happened over the course of a few months, a memory of an article of some gymnast dying half a year ago will definitely go down a few levels in the priority list of things to remember.
To say my heart dropped the first time Akechi killed Joker would be an understatement. I thought I screwed up or something. Needless to say thank god I didn’t tell Sae the truth about the teammates
What I don’t understand is that the MC is revealed to be the leader of the PT, right? But after you get back to LeBlanc, the teacher texts you and states that the reason you are not in school is because you went back to your hometown. Sojiro also confirms this is what he told the school. Do the students of Shujin not know that you are the leader of the PT, and think you are dead, or do they just believe that you are away?
Only select few people in the school know you're a PT if you pursue their confidant Link,Kawakami and Maruki.Sojiro tells them he's away because he doesn't know they already know he's a PT.
@@fresherzzz9240 No. His identity was never revealed to the public. The police know who Joker is (it's why they ransack Leblanc) but they don't give that information up to the public which is why the general excuse that Ren isn't around at school is that he went home.
@@danver8433 what about Mishima? He's like the FIRST person who knows about it, right after Kamoshida's incident. Or are we just ignore him for being a doofus? But if you talk about Sojiro here, it's possible that Sojiro didn't know that Kawakami knows about it
There is actually one bug still exists today even if you didn’t finish all confidant before Sae palace a random confidant unfinished will message you if you are still alive

@@BanltBandit oh futaba probably has full access over his phone at all times, probably even knows hes cheating most of the time
I saw on previous posts that to get the bad ending you sell your mates off soo it wont do a lot...
Imagine Akechi texting Joker
“Just makin sure, you ARE dead right?”
joker: yeah why
@@ICNHH
Akechi "I thought you were dead"
Joker "I was. Til I survived"
Joker just sends the skull emoji
I too saw that same comment from a year ago
Akechi: Hey are you dead?
Joker: Yeah i am ☠
*Rank 10 confidant unlocked*
Confidants: so you're not dead?
Joker: no, I return by death.
Not a crossover I was expecting, but I'm oddly fine with it
For the first thought before I completely watch the whole story, I thought Joker actually Committed suicide, but thank god he is safe
In my first game Joker dies :(
So it wasn't fake. And then, I play the second game (not at the begging, just play my last save before the bad ending) and when again people said Joker committed suicide I was like "what I did wrong now?"
@@adaalonso it's because you technically sell out your team members to sae. So what you said to sae you should have done the opposite

Joker: *Dies*
One week Later
1 New Message

Akechi: Joker is dead
Joker: I’m not dead!
Akechi: Joker is mortally wounded
Joker: I’m getting better.
I've actually never seen Iwai's at all after all this time.
Imagine if we had a confidant who was always super chil about everything. Then later after the fake suicide thing, they open up with a messages that says "ey yo you dead or something"
Feels like iwai lol
@@FazPersona yeah but he can be a bit serious at times. I mean like someone who got "stoner" levels of chill.
>Nah.
>I'm alive.
Its really heartwarming, to see them all worry about his safety like that. Just goes to show you how going out of your way for others can result in meaningful relationships.
Honestly I felt like having Kasumi in shido palace would’ve been nice
Yeah, that would've been great. There are many cases where a story's retelling adds a new character that is inserted into the story too much; Kasumi is the first case I've seen where the new character isn't inserted into the story _enough._
Lol I just imagine you getting the bad ending, ryuji says we got em but finds out ren actually died
Ryuji: We got'em.
Futaba (Phone Call): Mission Failed. We'll get'm next time.
Ryuji: For Real!?
*Ah, You’re back.*
Seeing everyone worried and relieved Joker is alive was great
But damn Kasumi's realization hit differently for some reason.
He is dead and was dead ever since Valentine's Day
The pain from valentines’s was so bad it echoed into the past before Valentines day
A??
I like how Hifuni literally calls Joker a Bad boy.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
When Ryuji firstly gave me that smile, I thought he was trynna betray me ;-;
But he’s still my cinnamon roll! ❤️
POOR HARU!
I'm so sad that she had to ride in that car with that man! She probably has had to multiple times as well.
Finally someone said it
When Ryuji smirks and says "We got 'em and you have no memory of the plan... Man I thought my team betrayed me the first time. XD
Kasumi: “Oh, thank goodness! I’m just so happy!”
Joker: *Holy shit, she’s standing really close to me...*
they really feel like a real couple before u even romance her
@@thepolishsamurai6136 it’s annoying for someone who really doesn’t like her like me lmfao
I thought the same thing dude.
@@danabell122 idk why kasumid is… everywhere
This was one of the greatest moments in a story game. I was flabbergasted and speachless
Iwai's texts has some tsundere vibes
There are twenty-three confidants in P5R.
Seven of them are Phantom Thieves, who, plus two others, are in on the plan.
(9 total)
Nine of them check in via text, and one in person.
(19 total)
Two of them are otherworldly beings in the Velvet Room with no need to check-in.
(21 total)
One is Akechi.
@Michael there is likely a reason, maruki could have [redacted cause of spoilers] and failed due to joker being alive
I can't read this comment in anything but Robbie Daymond's Akechi voice
I'm pretty sure he just went like "I will just revive him, is not a big deal at all"
9:34 So we just gonna ignore Sojiro’s smirk like he’s thinking *”hooo boy”* to Joker?
YOU GOT YOUR CHANNEL BACK! WOOOO
I played the base game I really thought he died and this was before the reveal of the plan they had it was a complete plot twist
So glad to see you're back! I haven't been this happy since I learned that Black Mask Akechi was going to be playable in Royal!
9:27 “(Steps closer) Thank goodnes! I’m just so happy!”

I romanced Haru on my 1st play though, specifically before Sae's boss fight (I don't think that's intended). I felt so bad for Haru because she was with her rapey fiance while hearing the news of the person she loves commit suicide.
I can’t be the only one who started freaking out when Ryuji said we got em
I did too I thought he betrayed him or something
@@admiralAlfonso9001 yeah i thought the same thing. it would have been a crazy plot twist honestly
*P5R SPOILERS INCOMING*
Also, the news of Kasumi's death must have spread throughout the country since she's somewhat well known.
Everyone: Worried
Ryuji: Ladies and gentlemen
WE GOT EM
Literally everyone: *Hey did you die?!?*
Joker: *I got better*
"You thought it would be a stunt double. But it is I, Joker!"
The way ryuji says "We got em" sends so much dopamine to my head
3:31 so futaba hears this and proceeds to send an entire essay to joker?
The fact that I had max rank with ALMOST all my party members just made the scene worse for me
Iwai’s was perfect he was obviously worried about joker but he didn’t want to show that to him, I love iwai he’s the dad I never had lol
@@danver8433 Maruki technically doesn't count as he's already left the school at this point
@@danver8433 but didn’t the whole media reveal his identity?
@@fresherzzz9240 No. His identity was never revealed to the public. The police know who Joker is (it's why they ransack Leblanc) but they don't give that information up to the public which is why the general excuse that Ren isn't around at school is that he went home.
@@danver8433 what about Mishima? He's like the FIRST person who knows about it, right after Kamoshida's incident. Or are we just ignore him for being a doofus? But if you talk about Sojiro here, it's possible that Sojiro didn't know that Kawakami knows about it
