Jayshree Patnekar is one of the finest vocalists of our time. Her intonation and articulation are unmatched. Unlike some others, she has no care for vocal gymnastics but only for precision of swara and faithful expression of the character of the raga. In this video, her communication with her supporting musicians is a joy to behold.
Wonderful voice. I first heard Rag chayanat from Jayashritai in 1992 at Sawai gandharva mahotsav _ and was amazed by purity of her voice and way of her presentation . This performance is also mesmerizing!!! You can say it is printed in brain!!
She has to be a brilliant teacher as well.At 11'18" rP sangati and between sawal jawab pnSrSr,rmPd, mpd,(meend)mGr...ll at 13'25", and 14 mindblowing meend rmpd...dndp pdmg, mgrSr!!.. '..... She is so good, Thanks to our teacher we can appreciate this genre

This is my most favourite raga. Enjoyed it just before two days in Ashwini ji's voice, live in Kolkata. Now this! Such a meditative rendition!
