What cocktail do you think St. Patrick would have bookmarked on the Vector Bar app 🤔?

Perfect original old-fashioned variation to celebrate St Patricks Day with. Always fun to turn unexpected things into syrups. One of the most powerful tools in creating original cocktails. I tend to do that a lot on my channel.
Love this! I have an Irish Espresso Martini recipe with Irish whiskey, Guinness syrup and a splash of cream which is epic, I can’t wait to make your version - the addition of banana and chocolate bitters sounds delicious 👌 Love the channel, Kevin! Hopefully some time we can enjoy a cocktail together!
Honestly I genuinely look forward to these. I try to make them if I have the time, and it's always exciting to see how they fare (usually very well). Also the freezer audio was fantastic.
I fear due to your content being more in depth and complex this channel might never see success in the average home cocktail maker demographic, but I also feel that you going a bit deeper into effort in cocktails is what sets your channel apart from all the other channels. I hope your channel blows up though, your content is fantastic!
Thank you so much! I am aware that our channel doesn't reach as many people as it would if we did more accessible cocktails, but as you said, that's what makes us different, and I really love to share the knowledge. I hope we are helping raise the culture of craft cocktails in the world. Thank you for the support, and cheers!
Just made the Black & Gold! My Aztec Chocolate Bitters overpowered slightly, but the Guinness syrup is amazing and pairs so perfectly with the James Black Barrel. Thank you for another fantastic recipe. Cheers!!!
I finally took the plunge to replicate one of your cocktails, and I gotta say, I'm floored how much of a difference the Guinness syrup makes! Kudos to you for these excellent recipies!
I just wanted to give you a quick feedback on the sound. When you're doing something loud, like dropping ice cubes into the shaker (5:21), when having "loudness equalization" enabled in windows, your voice will be muted quite a bit for the next few seconds. It would be better to have the loud background tasks a little more silent in my opinion. Other than that, I love the aesthetics of your videos! Hope your channel develops the way you're hoping for

I've totally missed this! Noted! Will be careful next time. Thanks for the input!
I did a riff on your black and gold I call a red and white. It uses a Canadian oatmeal stout syrup (made with golden sugar) and Canadian botanical whiskey!
Try the twist between the Black Velvet and Classic Champagne Cocktail. Insted of brandy use Irish whiskey With Guiness reductions you have an amazing Guinness and Champagne cocktail 🎉 Amazing video!
It's funny. A Vector Bar at least in Canada was an energy bar (snack). Thought it was some strange promo. As for home made liqueurs, i love that stuff. What would you use as the base for banana de brasil? Cognac? Cachaça?
when you say 2 dashes - 2 dashes - 1 dash, do you mean from a japanese style dasher bottle as shown? if I'm using the larger manufacturers bottles do I cut that in half?
If we were to substitute Mr Black or similar would it be better to sub 1.5 ounces for the espresso and banana liqueur? Or pull it back to 1 ounce for the increased alcohol? Just from a balance perspective.
So you are asking for substituting Whiskey and espresso? 1.5 ounces should be fine, but you have to cut down the sweet part, which would mean less flavor of Guinness or banana.
I have made banana liquor before and was pretty satisfied with my version, but I'd sure like to see with what you come up with :) Banana is a strangely underused aroma in cocktails, if you ask me.
So I have a little idea, how about you lot create original cocktails based on regional or national spirits and liqueurs? So for example baiju from China, shochu and sake from Japan, unicum from Hungary, arak from Indonesia, rakia from the Balkans and many more. I think it would be interesting to see how you would use these ingredients that are not normally used in a cocktail. Might work or might not, but that's the fun part: experimenting and finding it out yourself. Cheers, good video as always!

Irish Coffee, for sure 😎
I like to think he'd have a Cosmo or a super tropical drink bookmarked for when he needed a break
HOMEMADE LIQUEURS PLEASE!!!
p.s Happy St. Paddy's Day!
Yes, to homemade banana liqueur. I am always amused when you do the voiceover outside of the freezer with the chilled glass. LOL
Happy that you enjoyed that little detail!
Thank you!
Awesome cocktails! I’ll be drinking Kentucky Owl St Patrick’s to celebrate! 😛
Cheers!
A recipe on something similar to Banane du bresil would change my life
Honestly what I like about St. Patricks day is trying something new. Made stout syrup before but now I want that espresso martini riff yum!
Slainte!
Kevin loves the details. He even has Waterford Irish Crystal for this very Irish cocktail.
You have to hand it to Vector Bar, the latest release is great ☺️
No words to say , thank you for your positive vibes and creativity.
My pleasure 😊
Love the freezer shots lol
The Vector Bar app is awesome! But Cocktail Time is even more awesome. Thanks for another great video. Cheers!

Yes, banana liqueur, please show us your way how to do.
I finally took the plunge to replicate one of your cocktails, and I gotta say, I'm floored how much of a difference the Guinness syrup makes! Kudos to you for these excellent recipies!
Awesome! Thank you for giving it a try. Cheers!
The muffled audio to signify you were outside of the freezer at 2:15 made me giggle😂😂
We tried to stuff Kevin in there as well but somehow it just didn't work... 🥶😉😂
True! Even though I look as I should, I can't stand cold places 😅🥶
How many ml is onw shot of espresso? Which sugar do you use in the syrup ? Thanks 😊

I look forward to whatever Halloween cocktail you invent each year.
Thanks!
Love this idea! that sounds pretty easy to make and delicious!
I am glad you like it! Cheers!

Nice! Cheers!
Great twist! How long the syrup lasts?
Fun video Kevin! The stout syrup sounds really good. Any other drinks you recommend it in? Cheers!
Whiskey sour or Irish coffee. Cheers!
Please I’lld really love a tutorial on how to make a banana liqueur. I’m looking to pair it with peanut butter washed rum in a cocktail
Noted. Thanks!
Me gustan mucho tus vídeos. ¿Podrías poner subtítulos en español?
Gracias.

Yes! To banana liquor
I made one my self a month ago and I would love to know how you made yours
❤️❤️❤️
Noted. Thanks!
Curious if you have tried adding a little pinch of MSG to the saline solution?
I already tried the MSG solution without salt, and it worked great in some cocktails.
I'd love to learn how to make banana liqueur!
It's funny. A Vector Bar at least in Canada was an energy bar (snack). Thought it was some strange promo.
As for home made liqueurs, i love that stuff. What would you use as the base for banana de brasil? Cognac? Cachaça?
I think I would go with some brandy, but rum would be a great option too.
when you say 2 dashes - 2 dashes - 1 dash, do you mean from a japanese style dasher bottle as shown? if I'm using the larger manufacturers bottles do I cut that in half?
Not from a Japanese bottle. Standard dashing bottle.
What is the refrigerator life of the stout syrup? I’m curious because hops does degrade and I was wondering if that affected the shelf life.
It is best to use it in a week or two.
@@KevinKos Great, thanks!

I guess I have to start working on the banana liqueur recipe. Cheers!
A home made banana liqoure soudes very ibteresting
Hmmmmm, i usually make 2:1 syrups so they’re shelf stable, would the stout syrup be shelf stable as they are with water? I would assume yes…?
I would suggest making 1:1 stout syrup because you might not get enough malty, stout taste in the cocktail.
Very curious about a banana liqueur recipe that only makes 200 mL or fewer, to promote less waste.
Great point!
wow❤
So basically you created a Irish coffee martini? Sounds tasty.
True. Cheers!
Yeeeesss! Homemade banana liqueur video please! :)
Noted!
I think New Castle brown ale would make another good beer reduction syrup
We need banana liqueur! It's easy to make banana liqueur, but I'd love to know how to make a *great* one
Then it's time to roll my sleeves 😉🥂
actually, i'm craving for banana liqueur yet i cannot have something decent in my reach.
can you make some homemade banana liqueur video?
Noted. Thank you!
🙌🙌♥️

Have you seen the Sotol episode?
That is actually a great idea. I covered Japan and Greece already but could do it with other countries too. Cheers!
I would like almost all of the liqueur, since here in Ontario McGuiness has some kind of monopoly and this stuff tastes so often artificial
One more vote "Yes" for a banana liquor video

Most famous Irish exports: what, your're not using any Colin Farrell in any of the cocktails...?
😄😄
Do I want to see home made banana liquor? Why yes, yes I would.
Noted 😉🥂
I made a Guinness reduction syrup and my fiancé hated me because the kitchen smelled like stout
Haha, been there, done that 😅
Looks like your freezer door has 3 Michelin stars. Inpressive

@@robifiser (John Wick dramatic music) Not if I see you first!!!!
What insult to the Guinness beer. I'm sure the Irish aren't happy with that smh
