yes you have to disconnect the battery first but on some laptops you remove the batteries its recomended to remove the battery first for less problems

yes, please power down and REMOVE THE BATTERY before atempting any changes to the rams, cpu, wifi cards and anything else!!!

I have 2 questions
1. I just got a new gaming laptop (Dell G15 5511) and I’m not sure how to downgrade to windows 10 because it came with windows 11
2. I’m thinking of upgrading the ram because it only has 8gb of ram, do I have to replace the base ram stick and add 2 new ram sticks or only buy 1 new ram stick and keep the base ram stick in.

@@gunnera6598 yes i choose not to upgrade it but if you look at your specs and find the speed at which your ram is running at you have to get the same one to upgrade to 16gb, but if you have enough money you can always just get 2 new ram sticks to completely replace your existing ram

you need to check your laptop expandable memory guideline in the manual to see what is the max supported RAM and the configuration allowed. But of these should work but you need to first make sure your laptop supports 20GB RAM and more
