I have been using my Chinese Mongolian name Saina since I moved overseas a few years ago, and almost everyone can learn and manage to say it properly. I always encourage ppl to keep their original name from their home country. It is not only authentic and beautiful but also it will naturally lead to a sharing of the cultural background and family stories. From my personal experience, majority of the ppl are very happy and extreme curious to know more about this information.

I have heard of people named AJ or DJ but never AI lol. Usually people don’t name their kids with just letters. People that go by AJ or DJ has names like Adam Jack or Derek Jean, and they preferred to be call AJ instead of Adam Jack.
