Very useful topics, thank you Maggie. One of the strategies I'm using is keep asking people open-end questions, then ask the next question based on their answers. The trick is to keep them busy talking about themselves as I'm not very good at talking about day-to-day life topics (don't watch TV, don't watch Netflix, don't use social media).

You have to close your mouth when you say 'how', it's very basic pronunciation. You might think you were going to say 'awesome' right after 'how', so you don't have to close your mouth, which is wrong. You sound like 'hawk awesome'.
How to use “ain’t “ ?
You don't use ain't in writing, it is grammatically not that correct to use ain't. However, it's not uncommon to hear that in daily life. Some people just use it out of bad habits, some use it once every blue moon to emphasize what they are saying. More black people use it in general.
