Songs that have a dark context and are contrasted by a deceptive upbeat sound satisfy something deep within my being. I appreciate this for Jimin creatively. I just wish him all the best for his well-being.
@@WhatchaGot2Say please do a reaction video to the live performance of the Song on the Jimmy show. A lot of people I spoke to said they liked it better then the actual video . I kind of agree with some parts it would be cool
Exactly! THis is what takes you in in those songs. And agreed, I hope they are all ok - seems to me that JK is struggling the most. His world must feel like being turned upside down...
I think it is about feeling lonliness during COVID and alcohol is common theme in most of the songs. He starts with Face off (best song in my opinion) where he is literally having a conversation with his reflection (which he finds has endless needs), next he used the track from the Busan concert in the Interlude which ends with him pouring hiimself a glass of booze (feels like he misses performing or people), and Like Crazy is the next track where he tries to forget about his lonliness with booze and ends the song with "what's the point", leading up to the next track where he still feels Alone and he asks all the negative thoughts in his head to f**k off in Set Me Free pt 2 (that's the last track). Love this EP! 💜But why is it an EP 😩, I want more!
I agree, a full length album would have been nice but I would rather Jimin feel good about what he presents to us rather than rush some songs just for the sake of bigger EP. 💜
Yes I appreciate your explanation and thought on this. Thank you so much. It makes sense to me now. Though I need to stop thinking that Jimin is innocent. He’s a grown man now. Libras are very sensual
Great analysis, your deep thoughtful comments make good sense. Librans are such sensual sensitive souls, agreed. His unmistakably beautiful voice shines here. Looking so gorgeous Jimin. 💜
When I first saw the dirt/mud in his room and then running down the walls, I was a little confused. Then he explained that the album was based chronologically on his pandemic feelings/experience and it makes more sense now. Maybe he was feeling stuck/trapped (like a lot of us) and was dreaming (this looks like a dream) of just getting out and going crazy with no worries about when morning is coming. I get it and I loved it. 💜 His voice is everything.
I think you are correct. To add to that, mud can symbolize depression. When a person is depressed, trying to deal with it is like trying to swim out of a pool filled with mud. He did state this album deals with his depression during the pandemic, so it makes sense. While he is dreaming he is having a good time, sexy adult vibes in the club singing “don’t wake me”, then when he wakes up he is back in her apartment with mud on his hand, so he is back to dealing with the depression.
I think the girl represented ARMY and the need we had to see each other but couldn't because of the tailspin the pandemic put us in therefore prevented us from the meeting. So close yet so far away.
@@sunnysmiledaisy3184 i like your theory everyone think it sexy yeah he portrays in a sexy way but not if you look closely it is kind of a sad song not only this but his other song like Filter too
Cmon guys this whole video is about a person drowning their sorrow in their surroundings and with passion but at the end of the night they're still left with themselves and their loneliness. Think about it...this is Jimin ..he's not just gonna do some run of the mill dance club tune...he's always deeper than that.
I know. I struggled with this song and video because it was so evocative. I’ve been there…a bit too inebriated, surrounded by people yet howlingly lonely. I FELT it.
Yes yes exactly 💜 though with the full context of the album I feel extremely different now than I did the first viewing. This song and video are deeply personal to me as someone who went through this for so so long. You said it perfectly, this song and this whole album, just so incredibly complex and multi-layered.
the song is very sad actually. its like feeling lost and empty. so the only thing you can do is to get yourself drunk for even just for moment to forget the painful feeling. You enter into a dreamlike state where everything just feels alright and you don't want to wake up coz reality is way different and bit painful At one point you can relate the feelings jimin might have in writing this song. Yoongi even mentioned before that jimin usually doubt himself. Like any artist he probably felt the slump. like he doesn't know what he wants to do or if his doing the right thing. (*forgot to mention that this happened during pandemic) He mentioned this in the interview when face was release. That sense of feeling lost was the main theme of the song. But i am very happy he finally finding out his color and his music. And that i think is what connects the song to set me free pt.2 where he tells he ain't backing down from the inner demons troubling his mind. He just gonna keep on rising. Face Album is just amazing. Literally a no skip album. So proud of Jimin 💜
Yes, a lot of inner turmoil, as he has expressed in the interviews that came out this past day. Not just a simple dance and have fun and drink song at all~
What you said is taking me back to something RM said once...he and Jin had a conversation, I think in one of the Bon Voyages... Jin saying how he kinda uses people and humor- making people laugh- to make himself happy as well. And Joon snagged that and told ARMY about it; they do 'use' ARMY in much the same way, making us happy makes them happy too. And he turned it about and said please, if you need it, please use us in the same way. And I'm brooding on this because it does indeed seem like they needed us very much these past couple years. First the group, with 'Black Swan', then Jin's 'Abyss', V with 'Blue and Grey'... releasing their negativity and fears and everything that drags them down through their music. Turning it into something ..hopeful, cleansing. I was thinking just a bit ago that the lyrics to Set Me Free pt 2, if applied to Like Crazy, really *explain* both songs so well. And it was the same with 'Indigo', and very similar with 'Jack In The Box', there's the same kind of purging feeling. Exploring and experimenting, testing limits, but also shedding something and ending with a newer, fresher, more positive and determined emotion. (Even with the enlistments looming.) It's just- I don't think I've ever fully recognized or realized just how much BTS do *need* and 'use', in a sense, their fans. I really understand now why they say they feel a need to give back to ARMY all the love they've been given, and I think maybe they do actually know how very much we love them. I was never sure, before. But I'm only a...toddler ARMY, only since the pandemic, I didn't go through all the growing pains with them.
@ystrw for a pandemic ARMY, your insight and connection to them is no less than some long time ARMYs. Even some long time ARMYs aren't as perceptive, and not all baby ARMYs are lacking in understanding. You're really impressive! :-)
Like you guys, I was not expecting this. We have a synth pop, almost 80s-style, song, but I am here for it! This is giving drunk makeout at the club, dance up on somebody, feel good vibes. The vocals are right in Jimin's wheelhouse and the visuals are on point. This song and the English language version are POP, period. Can't wait to hear y'all react to more of this album, FAM. 💜 #earlygang
I know 80s when I hear it (I was there! 😝) and this was 💯 sultry 80s vibe (note the signature 80s mullet) bit Jimin put his special ‘stamp’ on it! He makes me want to go back to that era and experience it all over again! Another masterpiece! Beautiful, haunting, sexy, honey sweet, Angel voice!!!! He’s all grown up!!! Love him so much!!!💜👼🏻🐥👑 p.s. It’s much deeper than sexual or a good time…it’s about escapism from his troubles but being lonely at the end of it…it didn’t work - the troubles don’t go away. I didn’t get a happy vibe…it was emotionally sad/painful for me. ***This whole album is just incredible!!! Phenomenal!!!
Yes! That heavy, driving synth… such a dreamy feel. I too remember the 80s, though I was too young to club then, lol. This vibe makes me nostalgic. Agree that this is a darker sort of song… the upbeat melody is a misdirect. The visuals of the sludge sort of permeating and ruining everything in the vicinity should be a tip-off that jimin’s carefree dancing and revelry might be masking something vile or poisonous, simmering just beneath. Amazing video!
In a lot of interviews the boys expressed how the pandemic had done to them mentally, the frustration of the abrupt stop of the Map of the Soul: 7 activities, which should have been the last one before their originally planned hiatus, and the world tour. The sudden change of plan, no schedule, no live performances that fed them so much energy... It can bring about a sense of loneliness and hunger, which I'm getting a lot from this song lyrically. And it all got amplified even more contrasting with the feel-good party vibe. Really like how this one turned out!
I love it!!! Jimin is friggin amazing!!! Such a good vibe. I'm so happy he's getting a chance to express himself in his own way. It's a surprise each time and I'm here for it!!
The song feels very mature. You see adults in a club, drinking, dancing, and a couple kissing. Jimin is set free to enjoy this mature pleasure. That's how I understood it. I really like the vibe to this song. #EarlyGang L💜
That synthpop sound make it feels so gooooood! I mean, he´s not a kid anymore just how you say, hopefully the fans understand that, there´s no other clear signal than this! c: Btw, love the song!
It looks like it is focussing on the "meaninglessness" and the feeling of "emptiness" after such "party time" and always coming back to loneliness afterward.
As i see it from the mv that pleasure is only temporary tho because after a good time you are again alone with your lonely thoughts, he is in a crowd but he feels lost, this song is essentially about how Jimin was going through a tough time in the pandemic.
I love you guys and it's because of the respect you give to bts as a whole. Also your energy and crackheadedness is amazing. Thank you for your reactions to our amazing men. Army forever💜
I love this song , Jimin has grown into an amazing artist. I think he really struggled during the pandemic and he is letting us know with the songs and then finally with set me free. He has set himself free and he's letting us know he okay and ready to venture into a new chapter. Im so proud of him he deserves everything coming his way right now.
This song grew on me and each time I listen, I fall more in love. The last section when he sings "this is gonna break me" 😖 to return to reality breaks my heart for him. Love your reactions as always! 💜
Yes, this song has grown on me as well only bc I have very strong emotional memories of my experiences in the 80s when this sound was popular. So I had some hesitation but as I listened more, the song sounds a little melancholy to me too; which I absolutely love, love, love. So, it has grown on me. I agree with you the "this is gonna break me" nearly broke me down and he sings it so sweetly. I literally want to give him a hug and tell him everything will be alright.
♦️By the way, Jimin mentioned that one of his fav movies “Like Crazy” inspired parts of the song. In the beginning he even samples excerpts from it. Plus Jimin has said that many of the songs convey what he was going through, his thoughts, his feelings, his emotions as well as despair during the pandemic in the last few yrs. So this could also be during that time thinking back while having his head down, on table in that depressing small room, or perhaps dreaming of the better times in the past, when he was free to enjoy himself, like free to go out & party. Which is why he even said in the lyrics please don’t wake me up from this dream. I want to stay here. As well as being with someone or ppl in general. Maybe that was what all the dirty grimyness also represented, representing how he felt or how things were at that time.
@@SweetNightHealing - Exactly, perhaps you missed the part where I did mention that he was thinking back tonight the past, but you’re right, I left out while dreaming! Because in the lyrics it even says, please don’t wake me up from this dream. Thanks for bringing it up. I apparently forgot to mention while dreaming. 😬 I’ll add it now. 🙏😊
Jimin actually hired voice actor and actress to record those lines. They are not directly from the movie but inspired by it. The voice actress posted on Instagram about her part in the song.
@@Mimikoo Yes we know it is not from the movie because it is convey his emotions and his life and he inspired by them. That lady said Bighit contacted the manager not Jimin. The movie is not his life but the song sent messages from him. The poster did not say those from the movie, she/he said it is one of Jimin's favorite movies Like Crazy.
@@SweetNightHealing she said the movie was "sampled" that means directly taken from it. That was ALL I was commenting on... that it was not directly sampled.
This song got the 80’s vibe of music and really love it coz that’s my prime years. I love everything about this song and Jimin just nailed it… voice, musicality and the hidden message of dream intoxication. Thanks for your reaction FAM. Love it💜
I've decided to piece what's out there and throw in my own theories too. 💜 This song is more than just a love song (Bookish Theories has an explanation for the song's link to the movie) or a club feel good song. Jimin said that it's about escaping reality to deal with one's wounds. The "she" he is referring to isn't necessarily about a love interest but possibly represents Jimin's Anima. We see a girl whose movements mirror Jimin in the mv, they never meet before Jimin cuts to looking at himself in the mirror. What does the Anima means? - An individual's true inner self that in the analytical psychology of Carl Jung reflects archetypal ideals of conduct. Your anima is the unconscious part of your mind that works automatically, without introspection or awareness. Some psychologists believe your anima affects your dreams, fears, and habits (loop this back to what the song is all about). Also the Anima is an inner feminine part of the male personality. Hence the boy and girl kissing is probably Jimin's masculine and feminine side coming together. The person with muddy hands who grabbed Jimin is Jimin himself. What does the mud represent? I'm not 100% sure, but my own personal reading is its Jimin's DEPRESSION during covid* and his long standing anxiety. These are the wounds mentioned but not elaborated by Jimin. In the mv, Party Jimin is interrupted by the mud and he has to go home to Sad Jimin. Which of the 2 Jimins is in the real world? White Jimin seems like he is in the real world but he could also be at a place in between the awake and the dream (if you have a mental issue you would know that you are often on a different plane, not in the present yet not in the dream world either). This mv reminds me of Suga's SHADOW but we are dealing with a different part of the SELF here, one not explored by BTS yet 🙂. RM did PERSONA while Jhope did EGO. And of course all great artists are a lil crazy :) *Jimin struggled badly during the pandemic when live shows were shut down because he live for the shows and probably defined his person and himself as an artist from the live shows. When Jimin performed again on MOTS:ONE, he was legit crying during the ments segment.
Too much theory to interpret a song and mv spoils the soup where not even the composers and Jimin thought about. It is a sensual mature love song of longing for a girl love. When one is down, feels alone, you long for the comfort of your love (Trust me). That's just it. Jimin has grown into a full mature normal man. This is part of his growth.
@@DianaPangilinan-g5j Hmm...since Jimin himself has said it's about his inner feelings during the pandemic, I think the real meaning of the song is completely over your head. The imagery and references are very obvious.
Total pivot from SMF Pt.2 and I love it! Shows his versatility in making us feel so many different types of way with his music. I feel like Like Crazy is that one night where we are out having fun and we feel like nothing gets better than that very moment and you don’t want that moment to end but it must because the morning always comes. When the camera pan to the girl walking in the club, I thought we were going to get a love story of guy meets girl at the club and don’t want the night to end. 😂 I like that scenario too. lol
the girl is his reflection! in the release for face as an album they mention him facing his inner reflection, as well as in the MV after he meets up with the girl the immediate next shot is him looking in the mirror with the lyrics “my reflection in the mirror.” ALSO, in the choreography of the song during this part he does a dance mirroring a female dancer
When I first heard this song I Ioved it!!!!!!.....It's such a stark contrast to set me free pt.2.....it shows Jimins versatility.....I absolutely love the song!!!!!....You guys are one of a few reactors that wait the 24 hrs....much respect!!.....#OT7
Hi guys! Love the reaction as always :) As for the girl in the MV that AJJ brought up, I read an interesting theory that she is his reflection. In the MV they move in sync and then it also cuts to him seeing his reflection in the mirror when they finally meet. Also, in the beginning when he’s being pulled by what looks to be himself, the person is wearing a leather jacket. The girl later is also wearing a leather jacket. I do think that the girl could be meant to symbolize jimin’s reflection, and jimin also talked about FACE as “the reflection of myself in an unfamiliar appearance.” I’ve also seen people mention this song can touch on having a conflict between masculine and feminine sides. All really interesting stuff and I love how Jimin uses his art to express himself!
A lot of us have a theory that the girl is his reflection. It feels like he's finally starting to embrace his feminine side, that he spent so much time trying escape from. This song definitely feels like it's about escapism, and the whole album feels like he's in a fight with himself, until it culminates in Set Me Free pt. 2 which is about him finally not caring anymore
Yes same and I'm so proud of him and glad he feels he can be himself finally weather its feminine or masculine we love every side and thing about him no matter what
@@jeno3839 i am not positive about the lyrics... but the visual of the girl in the video is the reflection of Jimin... the two are heading thru the club parallel to each other... you can see it in the mirror dance in his choreo as well. The girl is Jimin.
I absolutely love how different Like Crazy and Set Me Free Pt 2 are. Both so different but both so AMAZING!!! Jimin has done an incredible job and I am so so proud of him 💜💜💜 Thank you for the awesome reaction guys and thank you so much for supporting and loving our Jimin 🙏🏼💜 Btw, omg I would love to see Jimin and Blaze at the club together… 😂 you never know, it could happen 😏💜
I think I liked "Letter" more than "Like Crazy." Every one has their own taste and for me, "Letter" is my cup of a tea. His voice sound so smooth and buttery in Letter.
The music is giving us a party party yeah vibe, but the MV is giving us a dark shadow/story behind all the partying? Thats what i think, but Jimin slayyy 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 but the lyrics tho "give me a good ride its gon be a good night" ehemm 🙈
I don't like to assume anyone's sexuality so I won't, but as a bi girl, I'll say the whole MV has STRONG queer vibes. The beginning where the mud is in the room but untouched and unacknowledged by his character is like an unexplored or dormant identity. He goes dancing and exploring, and suddenly mud is gushing in from the walls - like a realization that can't be stopped, flooding in. He's not sure what he's looking for on the dance floor, but finds the answer in another person. When he goes back home, his hand is muddy; in some people's judgmental eyes he's dirtied himself, but in some ways, he's acknowledged a part of himself that always existed. Not to mention the important gay photographer's portrait on his pants, and the two girls about to kiss as well. In the official choreo, the girl he dances with mirrors him, which feels like getting in touch with a more feminine or masculine side of yourself too. Jimin is brilliant
Or the mud represents the depression he felt during the pandemic? Which we know he did. I'd be very careful to interpret any commentary about his sexuality into his songs or videos. He clearly plays with the concept of masculinity - especially in his photoshoots - but he's still a Korean man living in a very homophobic Korean society. I've literally read some hot takes about this is him subtly coming out and I wonder if people don't realize that him coming out might end his career? He can't even date a woman without affecting his career and people think he'd be brave enough to openly imply he's gay or bi!? I also find it highly questionable how parts of this fandom think the member who conforms the least to normative masculinity also has to be queer. This is exactly the reason why men struggle with their masculinity in our society. If he's queer, fine. But fans shouldn't assume that to the point where they act like it's been confirmed.
@@voldy18 Like I said, I'm not assuming his sexuality - I don't like people doing it to me, so I don't do it to others. He can be queer or an ally and I'd interpret it the same way. I specifically said the words "his character," and "the MV". Art can have multiple layers of meaning and interpretation. That's what art is for. Why is there something wrong with it resonating with queer Armys??? Why are you treating our *interpretations* as something inherently dangerous and sickening? Jimin knows what he's doing and how to speak up or protect himself in his society. He's an intelligent man who knows how to play with appearances and what will imply what. If So!YoON (a Korean woman making art in a Korea that we agree is homophobic) can put out an entire MV that is her making out with a woman, I think Jimin would know better his own limits and what's good for his career. Would you like to explain to me the presence of Robert Mapplethorpe on his pants? That's not some random pop culture trending hero to just randomly find on clothing - he specifically lived making explicit gay subcultures visible and died from AIDS as his country ignored the epidemic. Jimin doesn't owe us or anyone a coming out whether or not he's queer - straight people don't have a coming out so why should we, and that's the whole point of queer-coding. He's drawn queer symbols on his arms for goodness sake, don't tell me you think he doesn't know what they mean. Whether for personal representation or solidarity, true artists have always been a force to drive society to consider perspectives other than their own - if even on that level why do you think, given Jimin and BTS' history of music and remarks, that they wouldn't make art that resonates with the queer community? They have, and they will continue to do so. So instead of berating queer people for finding joy in their artist giving them art they connect with, go think about why it bothers you so much to see a comment like mine that didn't even do what you're accusing me of doing.
Excuse me, it's not two girls. Take a close look. A tall person is a man with long hair. If you look at the other scene, you see a man with long hair. For your information, long hair is popular among young men in Korea, so there are many people with long hair.
thank you so much for saying this!! do not listen to homophobic people who say that acknowledging and celebrating queer influences in BTS's music is wrong. those are certainly part of what makes it so beautiful and i'm so thankful that regardless of what they say we know BTS love and appreciate people like us
This song is actually so dark and sad. Jimin explained it as "the pain of losing oneself while searching for a loved one in a dream, but still wanting to stay in the dream forever." We know that with BTS there is always deeper meanings, and Jimin's album makes no exception.
Jimin mentioned this song is inspired from the 'Like Crazy" 2011 movie, about 2 people falling in love and being apart(long distance), he also said that this album was created in the Pandemic, he wanted to express his depression, and all the negative feelings he had at that time. some say the mad is the feeling of been stuck that he pulled him out of the dark(that's why his hand was muddy), that he was dreaming of been out with friends having a good time.. I'm not sure how much of what they say is true but this MV is just amazing, Jimin is brilliant he has a very artistic view, I mean the whole album is a master peace, have you listen to Face Off, and the hidden track no.7? Love to see guys reactions, thank you & take care!
Jimin always gives us the highest quality, but what am I saying, after all it is precisely how he represents Bangtan. Jimin siempre nos da la más alta calidad, pero que estoy diciendo, después de todo es precisamente como representa a Bangtan.
When I first watched it I kind of thought feel-good party song too, but now I look at it SO differently, like completely opposite, and it also makes more sense in the context of the full album. There's just so much that be interpreted and there could be many themes, which is what's so beautiful about the art that they create. The "she" in the beginning could be the woman/his reflection, himself, or even the alcohol. I interpreted loneliness, escapism, numbing/drowning in something to not face yourself, to numb the pain. And the bridge at the end, the pure desperation and conviction, the pleading, how it feels so disoriented... Honestly as someone three years sober it hit pretty hard. Whatever his intentions are it's just so powerful, and I'm so excited for his album behind live on the 29th and to see if he shares more! Also the English version has some different lyrics!
Este tema es increíble me llevo derecho a los 80,la música, la vos ...o dios este niño nos hace volar de un punto a otro,me encanta,Megusto mucho su reaccion y les super recomiendo la presentacion en vivo ,en el shou de JIMIN FALON
The ever expressive Jimin. He gives us his heart and feelings on his sleeve, and he did this for himself and ARMY, hoping to give us some happiness through all that the past 3 years did to so many. I love how he shares himself with us. He has grown up in front of us. ♾️💜❤️💜💕
Am loving how you guys are looking at the meaning behind the song❤😍..I really respect and love you guys that's why I always wait and look forward to see your reactions 😊...can't wait for you to react to this song dance version ❤ 💖
Jimin said in an interview that this song "Like Crazy" is about the painful feeling of losing oneself while searching for a loved one in a dream but still wanting to stay in the dream forever. The inspiration came from one of his favorite movies "Like Crazy".
Love your guys reactions was priceless at the beginning. I believe since Jimin had said it’s a song about how he felt during the pandemic, this song is him feeling alone and missing the party time and having a good time, the girl that was walking slow as well as him I think it’s a reflexión of himself and him looking at himself. Him saying “don’t wake me nobody safe me” it’s his feeling of staying in the moment of him having fun and just being free. But truly loving this song and the beat definitely it’s a throwback feel to early 90s vibe. Been streaming it even while sleeping. Everyone please stream on YT and also On The Street needs more views.
Ah gosh jimin hit me hard, dark and deep feeling of emotion🔥🔥🔥 oh yeah jimin i will give u the best ride, and give u the taste u want come'on baby , the lyrics so damn beautiful, the sweet soft voice auhhh fire love it, 😁fam, jimin performance like crazy in jimmy fallon show just watch it ! 💯🔥
I think the song and MV also talks about Jimin exploring his own identity and sexuality. The full choreography shows that process too, it is very interesting.
After sitting with like crazy for a couple of days, I think the MV, Fallon performance & Dance practice capture completely different moods even though the overall message is he wants to keep experiencing GOOD times...PTD LA & Vegas was a chance to go crazy and then he went back to a lockdown which was so hard on him just like it was for all of us! Party party yeah!
After you listen to “Alone,” please consider rewatching this. Thanks for your take on the song. Jimin is incredible and his album….🤯 Much respect for him as he exposed his wounds and heart to ARMY and the world. 💜❤️💜
Yeeeees do it Jimin! Loved the song, video, loved seeing jimin shine on his own. (I was 17 in 1996 yall....😂 yall so right, this took me back 💜 army4eva
Jimin tell us he make this song inspired in the movie with the same name, Crazy Love. I love it! Dance songs with sad lyrics are my favs😂🥹 Jimin did great💜
I´m gonna out of my mind aaahhh JIMIN .... the clip give me a hole other vibe than i´m used to from jimin but i see that he is artistic . and he has a lot more freedom of making it. the couple hows making out and you see it his outfits ...
Jimin said the song was inspired by the film "Like Crazy" about a man from L.A. who meets a gal from the UK and they fall in love but then are separated for years because her student Visa expired and the govt not allowing her to return. A force outside of the two of them controlling their lives. Their separation eventually led to them giving up on the long distance relationship and they end up hurting each other. If I correctly understood what he said, I got the sense that it was how he felt during covid shutdown. Lonely, heartbroken, uncertain. Perhaps not sure if he would ever be back with the group due to outside forces they could not control. He described the album as expressing what he went through, chronologically, during the shutdown. So the order of the tracks were deliberate to express that progression of what he went through during shutdown. This album is the work of a group of talented artists who love what they do. This song in particular I found very musically appealing. The music break in the middle reminded me of the sound Jean Luc Ponty was putting out in the early 80s. Love it! ❤
This song might help popularize & make more aware the musical micro-genres of EDM Chillwave, Ambientwave & Synthwave & similar others. I have been listening to those for a few years now. That is because I am a synth-head. I also like Progressive Trance & House music. But all of that is a throwback to the late 1970's & early 1980's & the synth-rock + synth-pop bands of those times. And I was there, so I know & remember those bands & the sounds/songs that they made. Hybe & Jimin are helping bring back that style of sound for today, if only in just this one song, especially for the younger generations who are not aware of the synthy-electronics of the early 1980's. So thanks to them for at least bringing back some nostalgia & attention. I hope BTS will continue to expand their discography with more music styles & genres once they regroup in 2025. Maybe perhaps a bit of Nu-Metal too, such as when they performed with Taiji on "Classroom Idea"? Or the Alt.Rock of the early 1990's. Or the sweeping synth textures of Vangelis & JM Jarre? Or Bollywood-style for Indian fans? And maybe also bring in playing more musical instruments on stage? So many possibilities still. But at the same time, I don't want to pressure them too hard with all our wishes. By the way, when Blaze's phone went off, the electronic chime riff of it would have blended with the song & perhaps no one would have noticed it that much.
Always glad to watch your reactions. This album reflects Jimin feelings, and his introspection during pandemic, so, as far I have read and listen several opinions, it makes sense to me, that Like Crazy reflects Jimin wonderful duality, and the girl in the crowd is Jimin feminine side. If you watch the MV of coreo-practice, is more clear with the mirror dance with the dancer. Like Crazy is much more that just having fun, there are a lot of deep messages, mainly of topics that are no easy to speak out. like the clothes he is wearing during the mirror scene, is not just retro clothes, the pic on the leather pants is especial. Jimin album is a piece of Art, just the way BTS is, more beyond that we can see in the surface. My total respect. Greetings!!! Guys I loved your video reactions 👋😊👍🫰💜
*Jimin becomes the first and only soloist to sell 1 million copies of his album in hanteo history,he is breaking group records left and right.face is a masterpiece! jimin is on top of his game*
Yes, as someone else explained Jimin explained that it is about his feelings in the pandemic. Particularly his depression at not being able to perform live (he's said may times that he loves performing most), he was feeling lost, that he lost himself and was trying to find himself. In fact of you watch many behind the scenes of their performances (without Army just recorded) Jimin frequently mentioned his sadness at performing without fans there. Plus his break down in MOT Soul 1 concert. The girl very briefly was himself (in a very complex way.....) It is very symbolically and although it looks like he's having a great party he's really not.... gosh there is so much in the lyrics and the video. Basically it is all about himself.....it's another complete masterpiece from the most amazing artist ❤
Love, love, love the 80's synth pop vibe and the lyrics are fire. He nailed this whole solo debut thing and I hope he will reap the rewards for years to come. Go, Baby, Go!
Since he wrote the songs during the pandemic to express how he was feeling during each phase (we went through those phases of uncertainties as well - total locked down, restricted movements then finally free), so, Jimin asked us to interpret his songs in FACE as how we felt during our own roller-coaster journey throughout 2020-2022.
He brought back the 80s vibe to music. Definitely could see a song like this in a teen movie. I love it. Take me back to like 16 candles, Breakfast club Era.
In 😢loooove the song!!! ARMY, this song is so beautiful!!! You have to listen to Like Crazy with headphones and your eyes closed... The song sounds magical... as if Jimin is right next to you... Unbelievable!!
i got new wave 80s pop with a sprinkle of the weeknd with this song and i absolutely loved it! jimin killed it as usual! his vocals are angelic, the visuals were incredible, and can we talk about his hair????? i can’t wait to see what’s next! great reaction as always! 💜🖤
Like most Bangtan music, it seems like something on the surface (good vibes) but is not only so much more, but real, deep and hauntingly beautiful. The escapism, the loneliness, the depression is still there afterwards. Because what was sought was neither the problem nor the solution.
Unrelated to this, just saw your post about "Alone", not sure what's up but know you're never alone, there are many of us out there who care. I don't understand how people can pull support from someone just cuz of a difference in opinion. True friends stick with you. Hang in there, hope whatever is troubling you works out😊
Am i the only one having flash backs of the 80s, partying at the clubs... that techo touch is awesome..i love this! Makes me wish i could go back in time and go Ravening.... lol ❤❤❤❤
Songs that have a dark context and are contrasted by a deceptive upbeat sound satisfy something deep within my being. I appreciate this for Jimin creatively. I just wish him all the best for his well-being.
Totally agree. The vibe of up-tempo songs but slightly dark lyrics are my favorite. The contrast is amazing.
Kind of like the contrast between salt and sweet - so satisfying
@@WhatchaGot2Say there is a break down on DG reacts you might want to watch if the whole album 😊
Omg! Dear you are a Genius! I though something similar bur not so deep and correlative between songs. Thanks for this comment!
All the songs are so good but I agree, Face Off is the best track.
His voice is everything.
Also, I love how you guys always enjoy the music so much and also take the time to analyze the symbolism. You guys are just so good! Thank you!! L💜
Thank you for this comment. I’m excited to learn more about the meanings embedded in each of these songs 🤓
Thank you! Always look beyond the obvious with any of the BTS members!
Yes , it's always deeper when it comes to BTS 💜. Watching this mv breaks my heart , like , it looks so lonely.....
@@lunamcnally2062 Hard Same. I've wept in a club more than a handful of times.
the song is very sad actually. its like feeling lost and empty. so the only thing you can do is to get yourself drunk for even just for moment to forget the painful feeling. You enter into a dreamlike state where everything just feels alright and you don't want to wake up coz reality is way different and bit painful
At one point you can relate the feelings jimin might have in writing this song.
Not just a simple dance and have fun and drink song at all~
Yes this!
(Even with the enlistments looming.)
It's just- I don't think I've ever fully recognized or realized just how much BTS do *need* and 'use', in a sense, their fans.
I just watched Jimin perform Like Crazy on Jimmy Fallon and wow, that's really all I can say.
Yep! Sexy as hell!
Yeah his moves was so smooth.. loved it!
Some of those dancers were MESMERIZING
Yeah, I'm not okay. I watched it, then set my phone on do not disturb and put headphones on for two more views. The dance practice was great too! 💜
Anything Jimin sings is baby-making music. I thought this song had a strong 80s vibe and I love it!
I have exactly the same feeling about the song. 😅
Love him so much!!!💜👼🏻🐥👑
Exactly
I agree with all your comments!
Yes, that’s exactely how I feel about it
Me, too! I'm getting PSB, OMD vibes, & I love it! 😍
I'm pissed on their behalf on all the nonsense the citizens of the U.S. did that extended this bullshit
@P P ohhh, that's dark...and sad, but that does make sense too
I think it’s more deep than this.

@@donitapolk9413 , yesssss , this song is really melancholy, as a melancholic person it hits!
OMG, his performance on Jimmy Fallon was so good
♦️By the way, Jimin mentioned that one of his fav movies “Like Crazy” inspired parts of the song.
They did not go to party though. I think he dreams of having to experience that like everyone else but he feels the loneliness.

******His Performance on Fallon was EVERYTHING!
Agree! It was a totally sexy choreography!
And of course all great artists are a lil crazy :)
*Jimin struggled badly during the pandemic when live shows were shut down because he live for the shows and probably defined his person and himself as an artist from the live shows. When Jimin performed again on MOTS:ONE, he was legit crying during the ments segment.
Love this, and I feel it is the most accurate interpretation! It is a deep song, and yet still a great vibe (no pun intended). Thank you...
@@DianaPangilinan-g5j Ddaeng. You must read some of Jimin’s interviews. This song is more deep that you think.

Hi guys! Love the reaction as always :)
As for the girl in the MV that AJJ brought up, I read an interesting theory that she is his reflection.
I LOVE your reaction and analysis - like how I feel about the song itself...it's just so FRESH and so NEW I I
A lot of us have a theory that the girl is his reflection. It feels like he's finally starting to embrace his feminine side, that he spent so much time trying escape from.
This song definitely feels like it's about escapism, and the whole album feels like he's in a fight with himself, until it culminates in Set Me Free pt. 2 which is about him finally not caring anymore
I love that he is embracing who he is and not worrying about haters mocking him anymore... he is gonna be himself.
Yes same and I'm so proud of him and glad he feels he can be himself finally weather its feminine or masculine we love every side and thing about him no matter what
I thought maybe the 'she' in the lyric and in the visual was the alcohol (the temptress)
@@jeno3839 i am not positive about the lyrics... but the visual of the girl in the video is the reflection of Jimin... the two are heading thru the club parallel to each other... you can see it in the mirror dance in his choreo as well. The girl is Jimin.

I think I liked "Letter" more than "Like Crazy." Every one has their own taste and for me, "Letter" is my cup of a tea. His voice sound so smooth and buttery in Letter.
Yes, it's an amazingly beautiful love song. And what an added treat to have Jung Kook singing the background vocals.
For your information, long hair is popular among young men in Korea, so there are many people with long hair.
thank you so much for saying this!! do not listen to homophobic people who say that acknowledging and celebrating queer influences in BTS's music is wrong. those are certainly part of what makes it so beautiful and i'm so thankful that regardless of what they say we know BTS love and appreciate people like us
This song is already so special to me❤️🩹
This song is actually so dark and sad. Jimin explained it as "the pain of losing oneself while searching for a loved one in a dream, but still wanting to stay in the dream forever." We know that with BTS there is always deeper meanings, and Jimin's album makes no exception.
You are so real always , love have people like you in Boraland 💜
Love watching you guys reaction. Great feels! I love this retro 80s sound. Well done Jimin. I see you💜
When I first watched it I kind of thought feel-good party song too, but now I look at it SO differently, like completely opposite, and it also makes more sense in the context of the full album.
Love, love, love this song!! It makes me nostalgic for '80s music 💜

The ever expressive Jimin. He gives us his heart and feelings on his sleeve, and he did this for himself and ARMY, hoping to give us some happiness through all that the past 3 years did to so many. I love how he shares himself with us. He has grown up in front of us. ♾️💜❤️💜💕
Romances made up in the mind are the best. His voice is wonderful 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Am loving how you guys are looking at the meaning behind the song❤😍..I really respect and love you guys that's why I always wait and look forward to see your reactions 😊...can't wait for you to react to this song dance version ❤ 💖
I really love this song. Reminds me a vibe like Bizarre Love Triangle, Enjoy the Silence and others 80/90’s songs. Jimin ate all
Jimin said in an interview that this song "Like Crazy" is about the painful feeling of losing oneself while searching for a loved one in a dream but still wanting to stay in the dream forever. The inspiration came from one of his favorite movies "Like Crazy".
Like Crazy is definitely song of the year it's so good ❤🔥
Love your guys reactions was priceless at the beginning.
This is my favourite song. Totally CRAZY GOOD❤❤❤❤❤
I think the song and MV also talks about Jimin exploring his own identity and sexuality.
Creio que a moça e o Jimin são as mesmas pessoas, ele se encontra em qualquer corpo e nos mostra sua resposta ao que procurava dentro de si 💜🇧🇷
Sim, eles são
Isso mesmo

Jimin tell us he make this song inspired in the movie with the same name, Crazy Love. I love it! Dance songs with sad lyrics are my favs😂🥹 Jimin did great💜
Jimin reminds me of AHA. In a very nice way ❤
I´m gonna out of my mind aaahhh JIMIN .... the clip give me a hole other vibe than i´m used to from jimin but i see that he is artistic . and he has a lot more freedom of making it. the couple hows making out and you see it his outfits ...
excited for you guys to see the performance and dance prac ! 👀
Love it! ❤
😂😂🤣 LOVE THE ENERGY AS ALWAYS! Thank you for your reactions...I always look forward to them 🤗🤗
This song might help popularize & make more aware the musical micro-genres of EDM Chillwave, Ambientwave & Synthwave & similar others.
This song give me the 80's or 90's pop vibe.. It's amazing.. 💜😍
My baby mochiiiiii🐣🐣🐣🐣inlove youuuu... Thanks so much
Yes, as someone else explained Jimin explained that it is about his feelings in the pandemic. Basically it is all about himself.....it's another complete masterpiece from the most amazing artist ❤
you're so funny and lovely, thank you for loving our JIMIN
I love this song, for me this song was one of the best of jimin.
Love, love, love the 80's synth pop vibe and the lyrics are fire. He nailed this whole solo debut thing and I hope he will reap the rewards for years to come. Go, Baby, Go!
The synchronized head bob of y’all had me rollin’ Loved your reactions!
Hang in there, hope whatever is troubling you works out😊
Тоже слышу мелодию 90х годов, очень красиво. Ностальгия! ❤
Am i the only one having flash backs of the 80s, partying at the clubs... that techo touch is awesome..i love this! Makes me wish i could go back in time and go Ravening.... lol ❤❤❤❤
