    Great video! Some missing things: Vekoma started as a farming company, in the Netherlands. In the 70s, they acquired some of Arrows assets, and worked together with them on Vekoma's first coasters. Vekoma didn't make their own trains until the end of the 80s- begin 90s.

    This enthusiast has one SLC cred I rode once! That's it, never again. Once is enough and I get the idea. 🥴😂

      Same. Avoid at all cost. Not worth the credit. I did like the giant inverted boomerang at Silverwood

    I've said it for since 2017. The vekoma comeback is coming. They're not B&M or intimin levels of rides just yet because their peak, elite rides are way better than Vekoma. But all of vekomas rides *go hard* and are so promising. I can absolutely see Vekoma be the new RMC in this country
    Their comeback is strategic I think. I think Vekoma denied work in America and began building themselves up and making them a top tier manufacturer again. And when they felt ready with all this experience and new models, come back to America and do a Vekoma sweep just like in the 80s and 90s. What other reason would they avoid America like the plague until now? People have been asking for a Vekoma coaster for YEARS now

    • @PoffHistory
      @PoffHistory หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well I think its safe to say Vekoma is better then B&M now tbh.

    I'm most excited for Circuit Breaker. It looks like a way more thrilling version of a B&M dive coaster

    Maybe a fun fact to consider , vekoma has the most operating coasters in north America by manufacturer.
    Also even in the last 10 years vekoma has build more coasters in north america then b&m and intamin.
    there not the biggest coasters most extreme coasters by any means , but vekoma leads the whole industry in new coasters build, in asia in europe and even in north america

    Beeing European having ridden a lot of the new stuff i can honestly say they are all pretty good. Non of it is elite stuff well maybe FLY if you just take it in its category. But trust me Lech coaster is as close as elite you can come with a relativly short and not very high coaster. Any thrill oriented coaster park would love to have it. They have produced a more family friendly variant of it in Phonix in Denmark. Wich i think is an excellent main raide for the somewhat smaller parks or more family oriented family parks. Then afcours there is FLY by far the best flying coaster ever created. There new suspended coaster is just good but doesn't compete with the bigger B&M's But its very rerideble and is smooth enough that it has a bigger audience while still be fun for the real thrillseaker. As for the launch coasters they are again better suited for the avarage once year rider then the top thrill seakers but still fun enough that even the adreneline junkys wil have a pleasant time.
    For the junior types vekoma always has made excellent coasters so nothing new there. The main thing about there junior or family coasters is that most of them feel like a real coaster much more so then many other manufacturers. So for those credite seakers like me its always a pleasure that at least you get a nice experience instead of something so boring you wish it was over.
    Concluding the new vekoma's are excellent second tier coasters for major thrill theme parks and good enough first tier coasters for family oriented or smaller parks.
    I do wish that they get the opertunity to build a reaaly elite one. Considering the high quality they do nowadays that could be a really good one.

      @@SpeedBird6780 There building one is Europe to same delay so i guess its just a techno thingy with the new model that didn't work as designed. The older one in taiwan is working fine so id on't expect any major issues just a delay. That is if Cota is seriuos about actually building it the other one is also delayed and that shouldn't have any troubles.

    • @SpeedBird6780
      @SpeedBird6780 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@arturobianco848 COTA is not communicating about their park (cotaland) at all. For instance Palindrome (Their infinity coaster) lies on site in piece ready to be built, but they didn't even start building that. So the delay over there is not the technology, it's the park. Maybe there's a technical delay for Energylandia, but I haven't heard anything about that.

    • @arturobianco848
      @arturobianco848 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Go for Lech, Fonix is nice but its really a more family friendly version of Lech. So depending what kind of park you have or what you want to cater of your audience you could see either. But man Lech is a really nice one if you like upper tier Thrill enjoyment.

    Down here in Tennessee we're also looking forward to the twin family Boomerangs coming to the Nashville Zoo. And Holiday World and Kings Island are not too far of a drive from here so this region is going to suddenly become the Vekoma family coaster Capitol, perhaps even over Orlando.
    Plus the Nashville Zoo is adding some great additions in terms of exhibits. I'd love to see them move more into the hybrid zoo/amusement park model. Maybe we get our own Wildfire?

    So Six Flags New England used to be infamous for putting in a Giant Inverted Boomerang (Goliath) right next to a regular Boomerang (Flashback). Goliath was by all accounts ruined by the Premier trains Six Flags put on it, and it's already gone; Flashback is still there. And everyone's been speculating for years about what is going in to replace Goliath. Often they imagine taking out Flashback as well to make a long, skinny plot.
    The more I think about that long, skinny plot, the more I think the perfect ride for it would be... a Vekoma Super Boomerang! And they're putting in one of those already at Great Adventure, so there's precedent.
