You are fully right. Yesudas is a unique singer who is in the top bracket along with Rafi Sab Lataji etc. The thing was that he has been established from 1961 int he south Industry even before he come in to bollywood in 1975 and won national acclaim for his playback singing , classical singing and devotional songs. So he entered holly wood and sang some good songs under Ravindra Jainji, salilda , Usha Khanna, Rajkamal, Bappilahiri etc which are even now also popular and cherished by audience..In his total career of last six decades he sang more than 60000 film songs in various langauges and become one of the most accomplished singer ever born in our country.I just mentioned this because many of his hindi audience does not know much about his career in other languages.👍
KJ Yesudas though a Maliyali but he sang in all languages.He is one no other is there. He 8s melody king and master of classical music. He deserve Bharat Ratna award from Govt.of India. He dedicated his life to music.

You are fully right. Yesudas is a unique singer who is in the top bracket along with Rafi Sab Lataji etc.
The thing was that he has been established from 1961 int he south Industry even before he come in to bollywood in 1975 and won national acclaim for his playback singing , classical singing and devotional songs.
So he entered holly wood and sang some good songs under Ravindra Jainji, salilda , Usha Khanna, Rajkamal, Bappilahiri etc which are even now also popular and cherished by audience..In his total career of last six decades he sang more than 60000 film songs in various langauges and become one of the most accomplished singer ever born in our country.I just mentioned this because many of his hindi audience does not know much about his career in other languages.👍

KJ Yesudas though a Maliyali but he sang in all languages.He is one no other is there. He 8s melody king and master of classical music. He deserve Bharat Ratna award from Govt.of India. He dedicated his life to music.

your are absolutely correct. A small correction .Yesudas is honoured already with "Padmavibhushan"second highest civilian honour. We wish that he gets "BHARAT RATNA" which he highly deserve for his six decades contributions to not only film music but also Classical and devotional music .
