If Kobe was still with us, Gilbert for damn sure wouldn't be talking crazy about him the way he does. Kobe would check him real quick.
Naw naw naw. Lets not be so quick to conclude he doesnt have the IQ of a bell pepper! He has said numerous idiotic things and he thought he was making good sense.

you guys were pretty respectful to each other. this is a great example for Stephen a. and others in the media to follow as a blueprint on how to handle disagreements or shots fired. good job gentlemen. set a standard for adult dispute other than high school threats!
To be fair, Stephen A. and Dan Le Batard were recently on Stephen A's podcast and they had a GREAT back and forth about their disagreements. I get the SAS bashing, but when he does good, you also have to acknowledge it.
Stephen A. does NOT always render respectful retorts either. He can be quite disrespectful even when he is dead wrong, as in the case of Jason Whitlock. He has NO CLUE where Whitlock is coming from but refers to him VERY disrespectfully. So keep your commentary on Stephen A.
@juwanharris5425 Its Business, Stans & Fans talk & say stuff "He got in his feelings" thats typical social media rhetoric. But the truth is, they compliment each other well as opposition. They're actually a better tandem than, Skip & Keyshaun. If they trimmed it down, cut the fat they actually compliment each other with their intellectual analysis angle . Especially coming from separate backgrounds
You just gave me motivation. To keep going with my podcast!! I don’t agree with a lot of what you say but I do listen and tune in either way! Congratulations bro
Gilbert Arenas showed his depth of knowledge and love of the game in his response, and Charles held his own, but I didn't see him take down any of Gil's arguments. It was really respectful from Gil even when he listened to someone calling him out of his name. Overall I give the edge to Gil, but i hope they work together one day.
Gilbert is talking about things being 80s and 90s ish. Trash talking Hakeem and and other things. Dude grew up in the 80s and 90s. The dude has to Google bigot thus establishing himself as the buffoon he was also called lol
The real reason why Gilbert is mad and hates on players before his era and during his era is because the NBA doesn’t acknowledge him. So he’s really lashing out because he fell short in his career. He played himself by his stupidity. Now he’s out here trying to be relevant to the today kids because they know little about him. Yes! He was a good player but nobody wanted him on their roster because of his dumb delusional behavior.

The intelligence level between Arenas and Charles is as wide as the atlantic ocean. They're miles apart. Gilbert actually said he had to look up the word "bigot" because he thought it was some 1980s term. lol. You can't make this up. Money does not equate to intelligence folks. Good work Charles.
Just because he played doesn’t mean that people watching the game can’t analyze the game perfectly. If you watch the any sport studiously you can become an authority in it. He won’t have this energy for SKIP
Exactly! Arena does have a low IQ. Doing 💩for clicks does not require brain surgery. Most of his takes 90% are asinine just like he is. Anyone who goes to arenas for training doesn’t intend to reach the pinnacle of their career. I wish you all would stop saying congrats to dreamerspro for getting noticed by arenas - that’s the bottom of the barrel. Now if it was Stephen A I would understand.

Good for you Charles. You deserve the attention. Happy for you man. Arenas is intentionally provocative in my opinion. His comments about Bird are just nuts. Rodman's too but he has always had a problem. I'm more apt to listen to the majority of his opponents on other teams who almost universally happily celebrate Larry. Even those who were schooled talk about how impressive Larry was. That guy's who were young when Larry retired talk about his skill, is often overlooked, aka the Rodney Rodgers story. The totality of the story has far more validity than the voice of one loud mouthed dude. Arenas would have never made as much money as he did without Bird and Magic. I wont go so far as to say the league would have failed but it might have been among the other pro sports leagues that only niche fans watch. There are tons of those in this country. Young folk have no idea how bad the NBA's reputation was in the early 80s. When people say Bird and Magic saved the league, that isnt hyperbole. They elevated the profile of the NBA like no one had seen before. The competition and professionalism was so great that the off court issues was overshadowed to the point of irrelevancy
@@DREAMERSPRO Gilbert Arenas acts like a dimwit who jokes around too much which is why he never even made a conference finals. He's shallow minded, and materialistic that's why he cares so much more about making money over being great at basketball. 🤡🤡🤡
@DREAMERSPRO Bro, I don't think you will ever understand what Gilbert Arena says because y'all come from 2 different world's. You look at things from a fans perspective he talks about things as thats my peers perspective. Example he said Kobe is trash on defense, you will look at it from how dear you disrespect Kobe because you are a fan. But think about how peers interact with each other. You and your boys playing Basketball and you drop 30 on him you will say "Dawg you trash you can't stop me" because that's how friends talk about each other. As far as him being blunt about the older heads he is also right to a point. Players now are far better than players 30 years ago. Example players 30 years ago could shoot a 3 to save their life we all know that. However their is always something to learn from the older folks.
@@DREAMERSPRO Lastly as for the money you look at Basketball. You mentioned people who sacrificed money but those people are 10 out 2000. Remove your emotions for a second. Nuggets just won a chip Bruce Brown was 3rd or 4th best player on that team. Do you think history will remember him more than Russell Westbrook, James Harden or Chris Paul. Highly unlikely Everyone doesn't have the same goals in life and that's no problem. That's life you don't have the same goals as Stephen A Smith or Skip Bayless. Most of your videos you speak your mind most of Skip Bayless videos he attacks a player because that's what the network wants. Hopefully you see this comment, gotta say I respect what you are doing keep up the good work in 2 - 3 years you'll be one of the highest rated shows.
@@strawhatsanji4985 I think you need to take a step back and look at it. Gilbert can't tell his "perspective" on something and put it out as truth and think he won't be called out for it. Just because I scored a lot of points when I played a TEAM game against a friend doesn't mean I can tell everyone (not other friends) that their trash on defense. Because when someone analyzed that and saw that when we played "against" each other, they rarely guarded me, and when they did I barely scored. And then when we look at the whole game anyone that analyzes it can go back and explain that I may have scored but I shot a low 40% . - That's a bad take. Like when he said he was cooking Stockton. Turns out Stockton cooked him his first year, while Gilbert did start to get the best of him the next year. Again, another bad take. You also can't say players now are far better than 30 years ago because they can do this... Because I can say yea, but they can't do this one thing that guys back then could do.... Obviously the game has changed and "MAYBE" certain skills today are better like Broussard said i.e. dribbling, while they are overall worse in other things like fundamentals and defense. We can acknowledge that it's different era's and the game is now played differently without throwing shade at the other.

Gilbert Arenas, Paul Pierce, and Kevin Garnet know that saying the truth- that Michael Jordan is STILL the greatest basketball player ever- saying the truth gets you ZERO clicks, gets you no traction, and gets you ZERO extra attention.
I appreciate that!
Highly unlikely
Everyone doesn't have the same goals in life and that's no problem.
Keep up the good work Charles! Really enjoy your show!

But he didn't acknowledge that he was super wrong about time frames and all of that I want the media to be more thorough and research. If I was going 1985 in new Jordan was drafted in 1984. It's no excuse for this man to be talking about Jordan all the goddamn time and didn't even know that it's crazy
Anyone from any level from observing and analyzing professional sports can misinterpret or misunderstand any matter at hand. It's how we handle these matters when we're called out and you handled yours with maturity and professionalism and this is why I choose to listen to your channel. I don't always agree with Gilbert on many things, but it was a breath of fresh air to see your voice reaching out to people like him and I would believe to many others that you may not be aware of. You've now been in this business long enough to experience and process these feedbacks and your handling it well. Gilbert has a way of getting under my skin, but he was very professional in how he handled himself in this matter as well. It's a learning curve here for everyone and disagreement doesn't have to be an ugly experience when the record needs to be set straight.
I love how Arenas says Hakeem's game is outdated yet he says Lebron might be the best ever not acknowledging he uses Hakeem's footwork. Lebron even went to him in his prime.
Lebron footwork is non existent
Dude just spewed out a bunch of jibberish!!! Said a whole lot of nonsense
@DREAMERSPRO... Subscriber of yours and enjoy your videos. Just wanted to make it clear that Erik Spoelstra (Univ of Portland) and Mike Brown (Univ of San Diego) both played college basketball in the WCC. I play against them both. #RESPECT
This felt like an emotional response with a lot of misinformation to win the arguement.
Charles legit yelled "Yes!" when he say that some of the media mentioned him (and I don't fault that!)
Charles, bravo! Great job. I appreciate your apology at the end. It shows you are a person of integrity which is needed in the content creator space. Keep up the good work!
Gilbert was definitely in his feelings and probably still is. He's mad at Giannis because he chose to learn the game from the dream instead of from him. For some reason he feels slighted by that
Hahahaha this is a highly dumb opinion Hahahaha.
I love the back n forth.. but you did say a bunch of people were drafted in the 80s but actually were drafted in the earlier 70s.. maybe you missed it but Gilbert caught it hahah
you don’t have to play basketball to coach the same way you don’t have to ever owned a business to be a business professor. with that being said sometimes you can know the x’s and o’s and still won’t understand everything that’s going on.
Well it’s about time you got attention from the mainstream! On to bigger and better things!
Over 70k views an how many likes? We see who was actually talking facts, an who was just "i think", "i feel"
Get ya popcorn ready 🍿
MJ fans love to make fun of LeBron fans for
praising LeBron in losing efforts.
Meanwhile they NEVER stop talking about
his game vs the Celtics.
The best part about that series is that
when the Celtics decided to stop MJ
instead of letting him get his, he had 19
points and fouled out.
Game 1 -36 shots
Game 3 -18 shots
Game 2 - 41 shots
What happened to Mr. Killer Instinct?
Why did he only take 18 shots in 39
minutes?
@@Great-ve6zbIt was one game
@@Great-ve6zb You’re comment is exactly why y’all get mad fun of y’all try to hard just of look stupid y’all got so many excuses but it makes since excuses are for losers and Lebron is 4-6 in the finals and y’all think he’s the goat makes perfect sense 🤣🤣
@@Great-ve6zb😂😂 the man only played 17 games that regular season and averaged 44 points on 50% shooting that series so nice try
This dude tripping he learned to analyze the game by listening 2 others talk about it. The difference between him & all the people whobhe took influence from is they were actually involved directly in the game.
Being as he claims "extremely analytical" means nothing. So he wants 2 go back & forth with Gil, a guy who changed the way the game is played or even thought about options of how to play it. Gil is in fact still involved in the game 2day. He trains amateur & professional players today. How many people are you training explaining the game 2 or strategizing with.
His point about the coaches is an example of his weak cognitive abilities. The coaches that didnt "play basketball" they did play just not at the professional nba level. However, they have been directly involved in the game. Not casual watchers.
You sir have no sweat equity at all and no credibility on this topic.
Those were horrible arguments, bro. You completely misrepresented or misunderstood his points. You gotta hold this 'L' 😂😂😂. Good exposure for you though.
Found the burner
i'm sorry but i have to say this from experience in life as a black man, there's nothing worst than a black male athlete who THINKS he's smart. their skills as an athlete give them confidence to speak, they have the support of their blind followers, and there is no one to check them that they respect. i don't believe in shut up and dribble. But look within and ask yourself..."am i actually a smart person"?
You got me with that "you gonna get this work" you got under Gilberts skin love it!
Spo, Pop, Vogel, Malone, Brown literally all played college ball. It’s so hard to give you credibility when you just blatantly lie.
He probably meant played in the nba
Bruh. Leave it alone. He know what he talking about and he is a matter of fact dude. Went left when you called him out his name. Hoopers know but they don’t say what he is saying. You were not factual in some of your takes. Point blank and you showed emotions.
I’m down with both of y’all for different reasons. Everyone can eat.
Spot on bro
When they acknowledge you, its confirmation you're heading in the right direction.
Great response video, Charles! Gilbert kept it way more respectful in his replies to you than I expected him to, and you did the same. Proper "debate" videos and sticking to the points rather than blasting each other. Good to see it didn't devolve into pointless name-calling, which would not only hurt your arguments but would turn off y'alls truly dedicated fans and you'd end up with just the drama-mongers. You'd get views, but not necessarily the ones you want with the direction you both want to go with your channels.
Very surprised Gilbert even responded to you at all. Didn't expect it, but he didn't overdo it, either. He debated your points, and you answered and suggested counterarguments. Great stuff and I look forward to seeing what develops! Be awesome if you two collabed to debate live!
Your response is top notch! Though i feel like people like Gilbert and like a majority of people and fans do in fact disrespect the old school way and mentality because of how much of a stronger will we want to see from our time and how we learned things!
Insane chest move . Love how you took this opportunity did homework and presented this as professional as it gets . Great way to represent the brand
Not really he changed the points and put your emotions into place. Did Kobe shut him down yes or no? Not is he better then Kobe bc he never said he was better. So why did he pose that situation?
@@otisthomas9976 shut up doofus . Just saying Charles knew he got recognition from a huge public figure and organized this video professionally for all the new comers
@@otisthomas9976 so unless you can shutdown everybody in nba your a trash defender ? I guess Kwahi trash cause Luka been giving him work .. I wasn’t arguing his point more so liked how he organized video and articulated his words and opinion in a professional manner
@@Swaedabag and he was professional wrong that's the problem
@@otisthomas9976 that’s cool . I don’t know if you know but in 80% of debates and talks . Somebody is gone be wrong . That don’t take away from how he tackled this situation and went about it with growth in mind
I was on the fence until he dogged Olajuwon. After that I knew he was a salty fool. All Arenas had was god gifted talent that he squandered. Olajuwon stayed humble and took it to the top level.
I'm actually with Gilbert Arenas on the money vs rings for the reason he stated, and the example he used. Also, the five rings aren't worth 250+ million dollars. I can understand succeeding and failing based on one's own ability to perform and lead rather than being just another average piece of a whole. I respect the need to be the guy even if you fail. Maybe that's ego, but all the guys in my top five did it that way.
