This is so funny, I grew up in Aylesbury so recognised the station even from just that tiny bit of footage 😅 and I had never thought of that area as a place people might go for a weekend break but I guess it obviously could be! An fyi - Waddesdon is one of those lovely English words that isn't pronounced as written, it's Wad-sdon rather than Wad-es-don because who needs logical pronunciation anyway?! Loved the video though, it was so nice to see somewhere I visited a lot as a child reframed through the eyes of people who had never been before!

This is so funny, I grew up in Aylesbury so recognised the station even from just that tiny bit of footage 😅 and I had never thought of that area as a place people might go for a weekend break but I guess it obviously could be! An fyi - Waddesdon is one of those lovely English words that isn't pronounced as written, it's Wad-sdon rather than Wad-es-don because who needs logical pronunciation anyway?! Loved the video though, it was so nice to see somewhere I visited a lot as a child reframed through the eyes of people who had never been before!

Thank you so much for this beautiful video. Simply stunning. I thought the Baron's name sounded familiar so I looked him up. After the death of his wife he did build a children's hospital in her memory, but also founded a school for girls in Jerusalem that still exists today and that I attended quite a few decades ago! It felt like a lovely circle closing to be able to see the footage of you and Claudia at the manor. :-)
