My Great Uncle ( American ) was a Tank driver in WW2 and had survived the war. He died a few years back but he was a cool dude, when I was small I asked him about what it was like driving in a tank but my parents would always try stopping me from asking it since they thought it would be a sensitive subject. Although to their surprise he loved sharing what it was like and he said it was extremely cramped and warm.

@@JV-bj4kx all tanks had transmission problems, some tanks had worse transmission problems, other tanks not so much, and some tanks were built in such a way that it was almost impossible to repair the transmission without completely dismantling the tank

It may of been mild compared to say stalingrad or the broader eastern front, but it was still some of the most brutal fighting in human history. This video doesn't even come close to how hellish the fighting was.
