Cabbage Thoran || How to make Traditional & Authentic Kerala Sadya Special Cabbage Thoran || Onam / Vishu / Festival Special Sadya Side Dish || Cabbage Stir Fry
Cabbage thoran, is a very common side dish in all Kerala households and is a popular thoran or stir fry dish served in most of the Kerala Sadyas. Here I share the simple but a tasty version of this thoran.
Ingredients
Cabbage - ¼
Pepper Powder - ¼ tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/8 tsp
Salt - to taste
Grated Coconut - ½ cup
Shallots - 6 pcs
Green Chilly - 3 nos
Coconut Oil - 2 tbsp
Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
Urad Dal - 1 tsp
Dry Red Chilly - 2 nos
Curry Leaf - 2 stalks

@Anujan Anujan.,,,,first of all,,,I did not use ginger in this recipe...guess u havent watched the video and commented,,,secondly, using a pinch of pepper powder is to remove the pungent smell of cabbage and it is a tip I normally follow...and I dont think adding a pinch of pepper will keep the recipe away from its traditional value by any means at all.... but it is upto u, to add or not...thanks for ur feedback,...seeking ur sincere suggestions for all the recipes,,,love to hear from you..bye tc
