What needs to be comprehended, a Human being is born with two hearts, the one for the body and the one that is Spiritual, as the body NEEDS this heart of flesh to thrive in life so too the Spiritual heart, in fact wisdom dictates the Spiritual heart is more vital, as it says in Proverbs- a man may overcome a broken body but a crushed Spirit who can bare.

I heard someone once say "The Word Of God is like Water: It is deep enough that the most experienced Bible researcher/theologian can dive into it for a lifetime, and never touch the bottom, yet it is shallow enough that even baby Christians can swim without the fear of drowning. Keep diving in the pool of His Love, and every day you will learn something new, even if its what not to do. (Which is equally important, haha)

Thanks lennie. Its just hard. 26 years old, got no job. Thinking of school. But still need work. Father is a working ,check cashing, drunken man. Mother never deserves this. I fear i'll lose more focusing on a better life. I know it is better to be obedient than to sacrifice but lately i prefer to be killed for my mother to have a better life. Times i feel like this world will never understand Love. Why labor if it doesn't let u show love. Why live in a world thats filled with dark ignorance. I trust u will pray for me.
My Sunday school teacher showed us some of these videos and ever since then I couldn't stop watching! Keep doing what your doing on the path of the Lord!
I'm studying graphic design, and everytime I watch your videos I wonder about ever getting to be so so good, that I work on projects like this. This is my reference for my dreamed job! Amazing! God bless the whole team that makes this possible
I find it very interesting that no matter where in the times, God is able to communicate what He wants people to hear in ways they will understand... and then when we expand on our knowledge of His world, the Spirit will also start speaking through people in ways that account for the new things that we now know. It's like a parent expanding their vocabulary to teach their child as they grow up! Even more interesting to me is that when you have a look at where these trains of thought begin (the language that the ancient Hebrews understood God's word in -> the way we have it today), it renews the concepts we have today in stunning ways. God's word is a timeless masterwork!
I have been reading the Bible regularly, usually daily for over 35 years yet I have learned so many new things from the Bible Project and your awesome animated videos.
My grandma has been hurting for a few years now and was scheduled to have surgery in July. The doctor had to go on vacation though, and it had to be rescheduled to a few weeks ago. Again, there was a problem and they had to reschedule again for last week. This time she had the surgery and she has been recovering fast. The whole time, she kept her faith and God blessed her with this fast recovery. I know it doesn't really relate to the vid, but I figured I'd just share this personal testimony :).
When I taught in Bible College many years ago I use to teach this very thing and once my students would apply it to everything they did it was like a ," Light Bulb" moment. Thoughts-> Motivate-> Behavior in all the things we do. Outside of learning about God's Devine Love & Mery & Grace which leads to Salvation. I personally learned those very steps so when I have stepped into the wrong direction I try to stop and examine and I apply these same principles I taught. How wonderful and kind our Heavenly Father is & Love / Mercy are endless.
These guys man, these guys are doing God's work. I hope many people see this because the animations and the work put in is amaizing. God bless you guys, you really rock.
We believe that study IS an act of worship from the heart. This is pivotal in understanding the Hebrew heart. Explains too, why I am such a geek, lol. Intellectual study and debate is an Action of our heart, offered up to G-d. I am a Jewish believer in Yeshua. Thank you for elucidating the Sh'ma!

The heart has been found to have a clump of about 40,000 brain cells in it... So there is more to it then just the Israelites imagining that the heart does all the thinking. God told them it thinks, and now science have finally found this to be true... It definitely doesn't do all of it but it does help make decisions! God made it all and He knows what He is talking about. Trust his Word!
The Ancient Egyptians said the heart had a brain in it. In judgement it is the organ that speaks and relies all the deeds of a person. So it operates like a brain and has memory also. Thanks for sharing this.
I've been praying the Sh'ma in Hebrew followed by the rest of the Great Commandment in English ("Sh'ma Yisra'el, Adonay 'eloheinu, Adonay 'eḥad: and as for you, you should love the LORD your God with all of your soul, and all of your heart, and all of your mind, and all of your strength, and love your neighbor as yourself. Amen.") followed by the Lord's Prayer twice a day as much as I can remember to...thank you for unraveling the beauty of it to me in my devotionals.

I also have been pondering this, as I composed a piano solo 3 years ago (released December 2021) called "Each Heart" about the joy that every living thing will feel when the Savior reigns on the earth for 1,000 years.
I just finished watching a bio of CS Lewis, and one of the comments made several times is how the man acted from the heart. This video showed me the deeper meaning, and enhanced what I learned about a modern man of God whom I admire. Thank you again Bible Project for these videos which expand so much of a Christian life!

Heart could mean "center" or "core" for our language. I imagine they used it the same way. The core of our brain is where our motor controls are so that fits in there with strength and soul.

Interesting. So the heart in Hebrew is "the mind, will, and emotions" - which is what we had been taught is the soul. While the soul in Hebrew (as explained in the "Soul" video) is one's being/existence. Fascinating!

I learned what it means to 'circumcise your heart'. Your heart has a ring of very hard chalky fat sitting around the top of it. If someone is proud they are seeking to enlarge themselves over others. The easiest way to enlarging oneself is done putting on fat So if fat symbolizes pride then circumcising ones heart means to humble oneself and cutting pride from your heart. It makes so much sense! This revelation is one my most cherished answers to my prayers for understanding. I hope it blesses others as it has blessed me.

Interesting. So the heart in Hebrew is "the mind, will, and emotions" - which is what we had been taught is the soul. While the soul in Hebrew (as explained in the "Soul" video) is one's being/existence. Fascinating!
So when they say guard your heart in the bible does that mean guard your thought, choices, and emotions?

I learned what it means to 'circumcise your heart'. Your heart has a ring of very hard chalky fat sitting around the top of it. If someone is proud they are seeking to enlarge themselves over others. The easiest way to enlarging oneself is done putting on fat So if fat symbolizes pride then circumcising ones heart means to humble oneself and cutting pride from your heart. It makes so much sense! This revelation is one my most cherished answers to my prayers for understanding. I hope it blesses others as it has blessed me.
