Why has Italy preferred to focus on the market of jet trainers rather than the fighters?
Which developments did pave the way for the development of the single-seat MB-326K variant?

Welcome to our new content. As the Weapon Detective, we are investigating modern weapon systems of the Second Cold War. The Weapon Legends is about the older weapon systems. We tell their epic stories, which made them a legend. The Weapon Legends investigates these stories, reads between the lines, analyzes, and tells the untold. You can find technical information, historical backgrounds, what happened during the development processes, combat experience and political projection. Let the wisdom of history show us what the future will be. Let’s investigate the veteran weapons of the past together.

great video man
@@farrazaulia2917 Thanks
@@WeaponDetectivecan you make video of Yugoslavia Galeb G4, also trainer who was looking by several countries but civil war stop everything about that genius airplane. P. S. He is still in use for training in Serbia.
This aircraft played an important role in the beginning of Embraer, which had been created in August 1969 to manufacture the twin-engine turboprop Bandeirante, a national project. In May 1970, the Brazilian government signed an agreement to manufacture the MB-326G under license (its total production would reach 182 units between 1971 and 1981, including 10 for Paraguay and 6 for Togo), with the requirement to send Italian engineers to help in the establishment of a modern aircraft assembly line at Embraer, as the company was not even 1 year old and its technical staff had no experience. This fact was fundamental for the first steps of the company that would become the current 3rd largest manufacturer of commercial aircraft in the world.
The name given in Brazil "Xavante" is a tribute to an indigenous tribe.
Happy to see this video being re-uploded, as always if you ever need info for a future Italian video don’t hesitate to reach out.
When I was a kid in the 60s, jets with wing tanks were the coolest thing ever. Of course, I had no concept of anything other than straight-line and/or public demonstration effectiveness. 🙂
Thanks for re-uploading this excellent video. But, I think the legend was the South African Atlas Impala rather than the MB-326's itself
Mb-326 looks cool
Thank you ( weapon detective) channel for sharing this remarkable video about MB 326 Italian design and also several versions ..video clearly explained all characteristics of the origin designed and other versions served of several airforces of different countries...thank you for sharing
Cool aircraft, the Impala variant was even cooler. It kicked some asses, and brought down some helicopters too (Mi-8/17 and even Mi-24s).
Really nice video. Although mb-326 did not take part in 1982 Falkland War, its younger brother mb-329 did.
You mean the 339,not the 329..
Very informative video. Thanks
Superb video of one of my favourite aircraft😊
Great video, but you forgot a very very very important fact: It had a KTD0701L tachometer and a GT4 tacho generator. 😁
Small, inexpensive, durable fighter/trainer. Good for low cost defense of countries that don't require a state of the art air force.
Thanks for video.
In Brazil is AT-26 "Xavante".
Do the Alenia Aermacchi M-346 Master FA next
Want a video on vt-5 light tank
First jets build in Brazil.
Interesting side note RAAF replace MB 326 with Hawk 127, now the Hawk 127 is now old the RAAF is looking for its replacement n guess who on the list? MB version talk about coming full circle.
Far from a done deal, it's up against the Boeing T-7A and KAI T-50.
The RAAF only replaced a few of its Macchis with the Hawk (for it's fighter lead-in course). The vast majority of Australian MB-326Hs were used by 2FTS for advanced pilot course training. They were replaced by the PC-9 in the 80s -and that type was in-turn replaced more recently by the PC-21
Also for big jet: eurofighter typhon it is for 60% engineering, elettronic, avionic, sensoristic, radar, combat sistem, is an european aircraf:Spain,ITALY, UK, GERMANY, BUT THEY ARE NOT WORKS DIVIDED INTO FOUR EQUAL PARTS .all the elettronic is build from italy, and for an aircraf of 4,5 GENERATION, where artificial intelligence and sensors reign supreme, it is easy to understand that the other three countries are supporting players. Even now LEONARDO GRUPPO, at the request of the Royal Airforce, of a super radar. Let us bow before the Roman Empire

i want a new top gun movie in an alternative universe with these beauties are the top dogs, year 2089 no cell phones, food pills, Norway run by a dictator building biological weapons.
And BAC Jet Provosts / Strikemasters would be the adversaries. Or a movie with Fouga Magisters against Aero L-29 Delfins. Hot days of Cold War.
