In the comics, Homelander actually tried to stop the plane but the 7 were very inexperienced and incompetent and their blunders led the plane to crash brutally. In the show, Homelander was just an asshole who didn't give a shit about the plane. In the game? Well the plane is just a toy for Homelander.
Uh you might wanna reread the comics their buddy cause homelander is not any different in the comics
and Queen Maeve doesn't fly in the TV series

You know realistically what were they actually expected to do? They has zero ability to communicate none of them have training to fly the plane safely, and as well none of them had the strength to carry the plane themselves. It was really a mission set up to fail.

Ennis tried to do the most nhilistic, grose and sexually explicit comic he could try to pull off, and he made it.
If I was a supe and my powers didn't include flight....there is no way I'm putting my faith in another hero to fly me up and trust that he doesn't drop me, ESCPECIALLY NOT ON A MISSON WHERE WE ARE SUPPOSED TO ENTER AN AIRPLANE MID FLIGHT!
You'd expect these guys to carry bat jets or something
they only care about money and are dumb as fuck. Marathon thought it would have been easy porbably and just wanted a piece of what would come with the sucess, that's how comically dumb they are in the comics. Their only concern when they realized they fucked up was about money.

Who ever introduced Homelander to MK and came up with the airplane fatality is a genius and must be a fan of the boys.
I know that in the series they changed the scene to make it more dramatic and it worked, but the one in the comic obviously gives it a more morbid comedy tone that honestly doesn't bother me at all and I think it works for what they want to do XD

I like that in the comic homelander isn’t a stalking hating person he’s someone who never had the guidance to learn to control his powers so he doesn’t understand the principles or resilience responsibility and communication or commitment he makes very dumb choices for one he should not have carved out the side of the plane he should have asked the pilots to open the less most risky place or simply signal to the pilots that they need to pull and don’t stop someone will then enter inside to stop the terrorist while he stops the plane crash

There's a little difference between the way he did it in the comics than he did in the show. In the show he just decided not to save them immediately because he's too damn lazy. In the comics however he tried, but then gave up at the end

He perfectly explained to Maeve there was absolutely no logical way to save the plane. Real world physics. He would have only made the situation worse or faster by ripping the plane in half. In Superman returns it showed exactly how it would have gone wrong but ofc superman had to save the plane, he's the hero but ain't no way he'd save the plane in the boys universe

Yea, I like this version better. He's an idiot that doesn't understand the world or his powers who has the emotional capacities of a child. This fits his backstory better as a test subject who was never really raised. I think it actually adds more depth to his character. It makes him more interesting.

Comics Homelander wasn't actually a psychopath and was actually a decent superhero till he was gaslit by Noir impersonating him. When HL saw those pics he snapped and became a monster since he thought he did what Noir did but just couldn't remember it. Meanwhile in the show he tried to be good at the start too but the trauma from his childhood AND what happened in The Boys Diabolical just affected him too much

Justice league can keep up with god level threat and alien invasion and huge crisis and save everyone from any damage because they have experience, intelligence, skill, strength… everything!!
