23:00, Your mom has BPD. It's not curable and it's most likely caused by her childhood trauma and she's struggling to accept a new normal, even tho its been years. I have BPD, I don't eat every few hours and I'm hiddious to people. I am quite literally a toddler that must be maintained and it sucks. I work full time, I take care of the house with my partner, I live life, I take care of peoples newborns and kids when asked...but things like special events trigger me. My birthday just passed this weekend I didn't see a single person apart from my partner who was sad for me all weekend. I practicly slept and stayed in the dark room. I woke up today, Monday, and felt like doing something so my partner dropped his gym plans to take me out. He got a lot of gym time this weekend as I sulked so he's happy I want to do something at least. It takes a special person to deal with a person with BPD. Know she dosent do it on purpose, hormones are out of control and she may not be self aware. Once you are self aware, you can take accountability for your actions and act to make it better. Instead of splitting on people, I kept to myself. When I'm having these feelings and I have kids eith me, im able to put it aside to make sure the kids are good. When they are gone, I'm able to break down. It's difficult to live with, her behavior is unacceptable and you should not have to deal with it. It just sucks because it's a double edged sword, she dosent want to do these things...she's just stuck in a pattern and it hurts your family. She will never be cured or "normal" but constant reassurance is important. It gets tiddious, but it works in the long run after they have time to see you will be there and not leave like everyone else. Self sabotage and testing is what people with BPD do. The constant stress of being abandoned, so il abandon you first. Control in a life where we lack it.

Tell me, do men have to go through a physical ordeal comparable to a period every month, enduring blood and agony and having to just carry on like it’s nothing?
Also, in this context, it especially matters because he thinks men shouldn’t have to be educated about it, and that mothers should explain it to their daughters, but what about if it’s a single dad? What’s a daughter supposed to do if their father doesn’t know enough about periods and the mother isn’t in the picture? It would be absolutely terrifying to get your first period without having ever been warned by a parent. And don’t say sex ed. Many schools don’t teach anything about any of that. Mine sure as hell didn’t. And even the schools that do only start teaching about it in middle school, but nowadays more and more kids are hitting puberty and starting their periods earlier and earlier. I and a significant number of the girls I went to school with started in elementary school.
Also, we do learn about men’s developmental stuff because it’s talked about and joked about ALL THE TIME.
