- a chaotic week in my life living in new york city! spend a week with me as i have a not so normal week because my friend emily is in town! we dance! we see shows! we eat! we vlog! we go around the city and on top of that we are moving her out of her old apartment on the upper east side. i also go on a few auditions and discuss my current skin drama. spend the week with emily and i in nyc.

Your vlog isn't cursed, it's golden. It shows how realistic point of view someone's life can be even in chaos. I love it
Alexa, for your rash, try a humidifier in your room. Since the rash began during travel, and planes have such dry air, that may help. Also, make sure the air filter on your AC unit is clean. Could be blowing mold spors, which are a major allergen.

From a fellow performer auditioning regularly in England I just want to say that I struggle with being too short a lot and feel so disadvantaged but I feel even with that still it’s an easier process than in NYC I admire you for not giving up on your dreams and can’t wait for the day you tell us that you got the job!🎉 you can tell it’s a passion of yours and it’s such a hard industry at times, good news is coming you’re so committed 🫶🏼✨

My best friend used to get a very similar face rash when she ate dairy products. I hope you can discover the cause soon. Rashes are so hard- I feel ya

I also struggle with dermatitis on my face and have personally found that laroche posay products and the tower 28 sos spray are very helpful!

I struggled with dermatitis (likely mask induced from work). My derm recommended Laroche Posay (Lipikar Syndet AP+ for eczema and cicaplast) and topical prescriptions. It saved my skin! Changing pillowcases often, avoiding scents/fragrances and watching Dr Dray videos helped so so much! 🤍

Not sure if someone mentioned this already but Dr. Dray here on TH-cam is a derm and she has mentioned certain toothpastes can cause flare up’s. So she recomendé buying kids toothpaste because it doesn’t cause any flare ups! Hopefully this helps!

I get eczema on my eyes every winter. I like using SkinFix face eczema treatment. Really gentle. I’ve also heard that CBD face oil helps too

Midway through the video (love your vlogs!) but earlier this year I had a rash that kept coming back on my face as well; I was put on steroids initially by my GP, and when it didn’t help I went to a derm. He figured that my immune system was overreacting from a recent flu I had had, and put me on a stronger course of medication. It went down after that! I feel your pain and truly hope your derm finds a solution for you!

Try Cereve Itch Relief Moisturizer. Also a moisturizer with colloidal oats to heal and soothe the rash. I like Aveeno Eczema Therapy Rapid Relief Gel. I had something that looked similar, but worse. It was really itchy. I had frequent flare ups for a few months, but now it’s completely healed. You look beautiful, regardless!

Really enjoy the week in your life though do find it hard to listen to you be so self deprecating.😢 I am not sure if you have ever watched Sarah’s day - but she has the same thing and when hers flairs up she put on zinc ointment or nappy cream! Maybe watch some of her vlogs on how she handled it - pretty sure she adjusted her diet as well! Gluten and dairy free I think! Please don’t stress out about your face - you are a very beautiful human - on your last video I wish I could have given you a hug that coming from some one who also has panic health anxiety trouble
Sleeping etc etc - my best advice is get a therapist 😊 and try not to be so hard on yourself! 🙏🏻 ❤

I suffer from something very similar. Same spot areas on face too. Never diagnosed but from a Dermatologist u-tuber, I tried over the counter Prosacea. Cheaper version of what a Doc would prescribe. It's basically sulfur & stinks but within 24hrs, rash is 95% better. I also use Vanicream moisturizer & face wash. No dyes, perfumes etc. All found at CVS, Walgreens etc. Highly recommend this combo. Give it a try & good luck

It's not gross! You're dealing with it and it's fine.
I get eczema on my face occasionally too and my dermatologist told me to use neutrogena hydro boost gel-cream extra dry. It works great for me and it clears my skin in day. Obviously ask your dermatologist first if that’s a good option for you.

Have you thought about getting a food allergy test? All of my esthetics training, it seems like a lot of skin issues are directly related to digestive issues. Just a thought because I can tell it is a real stress point for you. I stopped eating eggs years back for about 6 months, when I started again I had rashes all over my arms for months, and I just wanted to rip my skin off. Eventually, I gained a tolerance to eggs again but I love them so much and I don't want to go through that again so i will never stop again but my food allergy tested showed I had an allergy to eggs. Fortunately, most of my food allergies are minor in how I react and my dermatitis spots are not on my face.

Get some zinc ointment for the rash. Stuff works wonders. You think the matcha latte from Starbucks was good?? TRY the matcha frappe! SOOOOOO good 😁😍 I sub almond milk, because of dairy allergy (and gluten - which causes rashes). Great vlog 😊
I personally thought this vlog was fine, and still fun! Sometimes life is chaotic and random and we don't get things done the same way we planned. And that's ok!

I took tap dance & ballet as a child. They were fun but I was so short, the other girls towered above me so they put me in a younger age class. The mint outfit is cute! Try volcanic ash for your face. I went to Iceland. Does wonders for the skin. Use a brand that’s from Iceland.

So Emily got a show? How'd that happen? Is your skin problem due to allergies?
I had this years ago. Metrogel/cream cleared it up. Of course my dr at first used a steroid cream not realizing it was perioral dermatitis. It made it mad. The metrogel made the world of difference. Pretty sure mine was caused by my asthma steroid inhaler. I was able to get off that. I have been back on a steroid inhaler again the last 3-4 years. Thank goodness no return of the perioral dermatitis. If you haven’t tried the metrogel (I think it comes in a cream) - ask your dr. It won’t hurt. Can only help. Good luck!

Your week is so normal! I feel for you with your skin I would feel the same but I know you must be helping other people with your solving this mystery! I think you might be too pretty to be in a dance line because people will only watch you! Serious I know you must be saying “riiiiiight” while rolling your eyes!

Hi Alexis! Do you wear sunscreen daily? My mom gets a rash like yours and it’s a form of rosacea thats particularly photo-sensitive and flares up when she’s in the sun without sunscreen. Her eyes swell like yours occasionally and she gets patchy red inflamed skin that gets very itchy, tight and dry. It’s not that super red blotchy rosacea…. It looks a lot like what you’ve shown of yours. Just wanted to pass that along. I’m sorry it’s so frustrating, but know that you’re as lovely as can be :)

Alexis, honey. Your jittery anxious feeling that you seem to have... all the time? Made 10x worse with your caffeine consumption. People with anxiety can't drink as much caffeine as you have in a day, much less a week! Cut it out. Caffeine is not an identity worth hanging onto when it's making you feel like that. Also please find yourself a therapist (NOT through BetterHelp because they are trash. A real one). It will help you both with your anxiety and all the other things going on, including your face rash (that no one cares about or notices as much as you do! I am having the exact same problem right now, in my case caused by a new city that I also happen to hate).
