    Like the attention to detail, in this vid.. Thank you for uploading to YT. In my martial arts training, I've always broken down every technique into individual steps. It endows greater understanding of technique in the longer term; makes the techniques faster to learn for beginners and develops 'repeatable precision', IMHO. So important in martial arts to drill 'technique footwork', so it becomes second nature, whatever martial art one studies.

    Amazing video, I use lots of these sweeps myself from my karate background but always good to learn some more and add some more touches to make them better. Thank you!

      +PGomes95 Glad you enjoyed it, it is funny how many little (and sometimes big) differences there are between the execution of sweeps from one style to another, that is one of the reasons I love travelling and filming all the videos you see on this channel. There is ALWAYS something to learn and (as you said) touches to take on board to improve what you are already doing! Thank you for watching and commenting!

      Exactly! Thats what makes me fall in love with Martial arts and combat sports everyday too, always more to learn. Just keep doing what you doing because its great material for everyone, thank you again!

      It stands for Mix Martial arts. Imagine kickboxing + wrestling + choking and limb breaking. It has changed the way I look at fighting, you can't kick someone if your flat on your back.
      I highly recommend you look at some mma highlights 😉

    I know this is an old video, but can someone explain is it allowed in classic kickboxing to sweep like he did in the second technique? I am pretty sure your foot has to have contact with the floor and you can only hit opponents foot while sweepeng, right?

    might sound as a dumb question but im not really sure if u may sweep in kickboxing because at where i train we dont use sweeps or so, so can you use these or not

    • @SaFeXxRandomxX
      @SaFeXxRandomxX 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Niek Gerritsen Sweeps are allowed in traditional American Kickboxing, as long as the foot you're using to sweep is dragged along the ground and hits the "shoe"
