The bridge PU on these guitars is no slouch either, Fender did a good job with this guitar. The mini humbucker gives extra fullness but still retains the proper amount of brightness so its a good match for the Tele. Sounds stellar on clean, OK with some overdrive, but perhaps better options for all out rock. Its a keeper.
I dont understand?....how does the radius on the back of the neck effect whether the strings buzz from low action?isnt that caused by neck bend/bow, fret settings etc?
+johncartelli Hes taking about the radius curve on the front of the neck. Vintage fenders where more curved and bending strings was sometimes an issue if the guitar was not professionally fret levelled and set up. Having a ten inch, radius like on this guitar is flatter and can help bending... I still prefer old 7.25 radius though!

I had one of those guitars and sold it. I regret it big time
you might consider the ibanez azs: they copied the hot rod and made some playability, durability improvements.
