this sounds really good. i-m impessed. this guy has great tone, taste and real blues. there is nothing to critizise cause this solo is straight like n arrow - bullseye. wonderful. chris (guitar teacher)
@twst1 That would be crazy to Drop $2000 on a Fender '52 RI hotrod Tele and then swap out the neck. FYI: the necks on those Hotrod '52 RI Teles aren't any wider than regular Tele necks, but they are flatter and fatter.
Wow! Fantastic playing. The blues is arguably one of the best I have come across on youtube, including famous acts. I came here from the Seymor Duncan page. So that is their Vintage Mini-Humbucker? I read you saying SM-1 N. But I found no such number on their page which linked to your video. Anyways, I am undecided between this, their Antiquity II Mini-Humbucker and their Firebird pickup. Do you have an opinion on them? Based on your playing I'm inclined going with the one you got there. :)
nice playing! but.. why does most players get hung up on the "neck pick-up? i think i only heard the "bridge ..about 4 bars?..just aying..to me..the "bridge reall y represents the "tele "twang.......
you play like you really believe you sound good! but you spent hours listening to SRV dude, and it is obvious. He's dead so move on and learn to play that thing!
+Think Learn Earn Web Development ,VG i bet doesnt even play but he is entitled to his opinion...however mr nichols plays and, trust me you dont want to hear it...imho its the most sloppiest playing i ever heard....sounds like a two fingered chicken picker trying to shred....but THATS my opinion and im entitled to it...lol

C Rockmans thanks mate...i just improvised this years ago haha
Love your sound! My azs has the mini humbucker in the neck. 🤗🤤
I can't believe that's a Peavey JSX. You should get a medal for this.
Absolutely SICK tone... Fantastic job Paul. I have this guitar and the neck pickup is fantastic, but both together are great also.
My god, that is the best sounding neck pickup I've heard on TH-cam yet. I gotta try one of those Duncan minis out!
Great vid paul !!! I just ordered a 52 hot rod !!! Your vid sealed the deal for me .
Super sound and playing my friend..... Thinking about getting this neck pickup for my Fender Tele hotrod. Thanks for the post :-)
Cheers!
Danny
Thanks man...I haven't played this guitar in ages, I should dig dig it out again
Sounds killer, man. That solo was on FIRE!

Real nice playing man.
Great playing brother!

Previous comment is a TROLL. You play amazing, and from the soul brother. Thanks for sharing
Cheers mate
Whoa! Great demo and tone. Thanks
@Hoodrio I have a feeling it was the neck pickup. The bridge is brighter and the middle mellow.
Great tone and playing, bud!
Blew my mind as usual friend!

@Guitarplar Im not entirely sure but I think 1 is a SRV backing track
Hey Brett! Yes its raw into the JSX on crunch channel with gain on 4 and reverb up full!
@Hoodrio ...and the amp is a Peavey JSX, crunch channel, low gain, amp reverb
great playing!
amazing tone, amazing feel :) subbed
@kvseelbach I play with and without a pick, I just sneak the pick into my palm and swap around. More versatile that way.
Blows away the standard tele neck pickup!
Sweet sound!
Very nice tone
Great playin´ man!

Nice and smoth!
Nice, wonderfull
Nice playing. Can you tell me what backing track you are using?
Thanks
Man this is a reminder that no matter how simple the blues scale is, playing the notes well aint simple. Perfect tone and playing. is this the JSX?
@ACCADACCAFAN6710 yep Seymour Duncan vintage mini humbucker SM1-N, cheers
That's tremendous tone and some real tasty playing.
That Telecaster is more versatile than a Strat.
Nice playing. What backing track is that?
Hey Paul - im great friends with Tele master Mike Stern - That was impressive - where can i get those backing tracks? Ill pay
Sweet sound and nice backing track. What is it?
Nice....what backing track are you using?
Thanx
I want a 52 Hot Rod so freaking bad.....
Buying mine today!
What pickup position are you in during the opening minute? That is some very pure tone! Also curious what amp, thanks.
Great playing. What backing track are you using?
great video! :)
@robrippen neck mostly, some bridge later on i think
Hi Art - Its a two piece body. The neck is one piece.
@twst1 yes stock neck, could be just camera
Great playing and superb tone!! Do you know if that is an SM-1 in the neck? I wanna put one in my Tele. Thanks!
Yep the stock mini humbucker it came with! I have a few other teles with antiquity 60's humbucker (awesome) in neck and a Kent P90 neck.
@luit13 JSX crunch no effects except amps reverb. Cheers
Very, very tasty. Nice.
Sorry late reply, I'll check if I still have them somewhere. This is an old video. Cheers
@StratoArtwood Seymour Duncan vintage mini humbucker SM1-N cheers
one of the best neck tones i heard on youtube!!
what specific model of mini humbucker you hav there?
SM1/2/3 ?
now THAT'S some vibrato
on another note, is the neck stock? nut width looks wider than i've seen
Thanks mate!
Beautiful.. amp?
great playin and tone! what amp are you playing through?
Btw, if you replaced your track over an old recording of led Zeppelin i'd have a hard time believing it wasn't Jimmy Page! Great stuff
nice playing! but.. why does most players get hung up on the "neck pick-up? i think i only heard the "bridge ..about 4 bars?..just aying..to me..the "bridge reall y represents the "tele "twang.......
bravo----
nice
Nice....
Ha thanks!
Sounds so much like Gary Moore!
is there some reason I can't post comments on youtube??????????
you just cant play the blues any better than this
I am selling every other guitar I have to fiund one of these.
Great ! I just bought same model. Sound terrible !
well they say tone is in the fingers..but a great amp and practice helps
Fat tone!
you play like you really believe you sound good! but you spent hours listening to SRV dude, and it is obvious. He's dead so move on and learn to play that thing!
I hardly ever listen to SRV
Hey Vincent the clown - aka Mr Critic - so where is your guitar solo - bozo?
+Think Learn Earn Web Development ,VG i bet doesnt even play but he is entitled to his opinion...however mr nichols plays and, trust me you dont want to hear it...imho its the most sloppiest playing i ever heard....sounds like a two fingered chicken picker trying to shred....but THATS my opinion and im entitled to it...lol
+vincent gregorits Sounds pretty darn good to my ears. Were you having a bad day when you made this comment?
