I dearly love hearing a talented artist demo an instrument when he knows how to make it sing with nothing more than a little reverb. With such a pure sound, we can really hear what the pickups sound like. Thanks!

What a lovely intro, so well played! I like these 52 tele's but I can't get friends with the neck and the fretboard. Like you say, a bit sticky too. The only one I nearly bought was a reliced CS 52 with a bigsby, because the neck was just raw wood, no gloss left. That one played very well. Just a tad too expensive for me at that time. Take care and keep up the good work.
Excellent test of one of the most beautiful guitars ever made... So much finesse in your playing, Sir. You make the guitar sing, not scream. Not obvious with a Telecaster! Another proof that the sound is more in the player's fingers than in the guitar. I'm pretty certain you could extract some twang out of a Les Paul! About this guitar: I own exactly the same model ( 1998, #47500); imho, it's a (almost) perfect instrument, with some minor issues, however: the neck is slightly narrow (at the nut) for my hands. The old fashioned routing is a bit unusable on position 1 (neck pu with the condenser, to mimic a sound bass); an easy to do transformation is suitable , allowing you to use the neck+bridge combination. The small condenser + modern wiring diagram was included in the case by Fender... Anyway, that guitar is a treat to play, and what a sound!
Awesome playing Jon. That's a sweet guitar. Love my 2022 Player Tele Butterscotch Blond with black guard. Did swap out the stock tuners for a set of my all time favs Fender vintage style tuners. Cheers!
Outstanding Demo Jon!😁 Back in 2000 I bought one of these Fender 52 AVRI new. Still to this day it is still the best tele I have ever owned or played. The tuning stability was supernatural! 😊 99% of the time the guitar stayed in tune. I dont care that people laugh and shake their heads whenever I mention this fact. I know it to be true. 😁 😉
The thing about 7:25 is that your action will have to be higher in order not to fret out.. you can adjust it yourself out get a luthier to do it. I love my 7:25 Japanese Fender strat. The Fender Coma I recently reviewed has a 7:25 radius too
Had one of these. While it played and sounded good, I had to return it. The finish was problematic (flaking). The controls were wired righty (i am a lefty) and it is really annoying when reputable brands can't even wire the controls correctly for lefty guitars lol.. Means you get almost no action in 90% of the tone/volume travel and then it cuts all in the last bit of travel. I even have 2 lefty guitars from same brand, one is wired correctly, the other reversed.
Subtitles available in English, Chinese, German, Spanish, Italian, Indonesian, Thai and Japanese.
Beautiful playing, Jon, and excellent commentary on the guitar's sound and playability. Thank you.

Fantastic playing. The greatest review's in the world. Let the playing do the talking. And, as we both know, all the best picker's play tele's...
Thank you John!✌❤

My pleasure Tom✌️❤️
Sweet sound! I dig your style of playing & your in depth reviews! Well done!
thank you!
I’m so happy I have the same guitar, mine was made in 1994 AVRi 52 and it looks and sounds amazing. Great playing as usual Jon, one of the best demo .
Cool, thanks!
Awesome guitar! I have the "American Original 50s", which is basically the same guitar but with a 9.5 radius (same U shape). Love it! :)
NICE!!✌❤

Great review! I believe the ‘52 RI was originally introduced by Fender in 1982. Same year that the ‘57 Strat RI was also introduced.
Thank you!!✌😀
And I thought my USA G&L ASAT Tele was beastly 'fat necked' at .92 at first fret. Nice vid as always...Jon.
Thank you !✌❤
Probably the most useful demos among all similar youtube channels. Also Jon is fantastic musician.
Thank you ✌️

How does the 7.25 radius feel? Any fret out issues?
The thing about 7:25 is that your action will have to be higher in order not to fret out.. you can adjust it yourself out get a luthier to do it. I love my 7:25 Japanese Fender strat. The Fender Coma I recently reviewed has a 7:25 radius too
Jon, Wat amplifier or amp simulation do you use in your excellent videos?
its in the description....i use the Line 6 Helix native✌
You always sound great on T-style guitars Jon - nice work!
Thank you kindly!

Man.. what a shame. Yes that is pretty bad. Shame on them!
