Glad youre back . Cant wait for your review of the Samsung S25 ultra, Alienware Area 51 laptop (when that comes out) and the Z Fold 7 🙂🙂 @mobiletechreview
She is like the godmother of tech reviewer. When smart phone just started to catch on, she was the original you tubers I go to for every smart phone and laptop releases.
I'm a phone flipper, and the OP13 is the first device of theirs I'm not looking to return or sell right away. It's the thinnest phone I've had in years, and indeed Oxygen OS has matured to a very pleasant state and solid alternative to OneUI, stock Android, or iOS. The camera is good out of the box and is getting better via updates. It charges insanely fast and comes in $600 less than a similarly-equipped (yet de-contented - see S-pen) S25 Ultra. If only ATT had figured out how to make eSIM activations work as easily as a SIM card you can just slide in. Apple has again made folks lives more difficult for those without an iPhone (with their move to esim in the US, two years ago).
I'm watching you on my OP 13 now. My OP 11 was also purchased directly from One Plus in 2023. My OnePlus 7 Pro in 2019 & the Nord in 2021 were purchased from T-Mobile.
its a shame T-Mobile no longer offers OnePlus phones anymore. For that reason, and that reason only, I had to switch over to the S25. I will miss u, my Chinese spy machine.
Like others, I have only bought unlocked phones for more than a decade. Either from BBY, Amazon, or direct from the manufacturer. My purchase of the OP12 was directly the result of Samsung's absurd price on the GS24.
Welcome back Lisa! Man am I tempted by this phone. I have a Pixel 6 which is shockingly still doing fine and I had it since launch, but I have the OnePlus Pad 2 and the Watch 2 and love both. I might hold off to see what the Pixel 10 brings to the table and if I'm not impressed, I'll grab the OP13.
It has more AI, does not mean whatsoever that it is the only thing it has. Good for you if you're not letting "loyalty" ruin your decision tho, if your sole priority is battery, getting this phone makes sense
Well Lisa, I'm still rocking my Moto G Stylus 2021 and it's still doing just great! Like the saying goes, if it ain't broke then don't fix it. Anyways Lisa, the phone that you are reviewing is a pretty cool phone, You know what Lisa, people just don't use their phone as a phone, they use it for everything but a phone. No one likes to talk on a phone anymore, but they will text you forever in a day. I don't lke texting at all. Anyways, enough of me venting, thanks Lisa for posting the video, I enjoyed watching it. Have a geat weekend okay! -Melvin - Friday, January 31, 2025 - 8:32 AM - Colorado Springs, Colorado.
I upgraded from the Oneplus 10T to the 13, on an impulse buy. Performance wise, the older 10T was never sluggish for me. The camera quality is better but not vital, as I got a full-frame digital camera. Battery on the 10T still lasted two days for me, even with an 80% charge limit. The 13 is an overkill device for my use, which I hope will last some years.
I left T-Mobile once OnePlus wasn't offered anymore, Switched to Metro $25 Unlimited plan. Held on to the OP 10pro for 2 1/2 years for a worthy upgrade & just traded in the OP 10 pro I got free from T-Mobile for the OP 13 at Best Buy. I got to say it's the best OnePlus phone to Date I've owned over the years. Started with OP 6. I got the Midnight Ocean & Love it !
You can also do AI summarize if you pull out the top right corner where you have the ability to go and select things if you have an article open it will either summarize it for you or read it aloud for you
I ordered my first one plus phone, I ordered the one plus 13 midnight ocean from Best Buy, out for delivery today, I can’t wait, the phone I’m using now is a black iPhone 14 Pro Max
Watching this on my oneplus 12 phone which i purchased directly from oneplus. I dont mind who I buy my phone from whether carrier, direct, etc. so long as whomever can provide the best deal for the product at the time.
Never buy my phones through the carriers, but rather always fully unlocked. I don't want their added bloatware or slower software updates. I've had OnePlus phones since the 7T. Once you experience life with their fast charging it's hard to go back to anyone else. The OP13 is great but not much of a leap from the 12. Either one is a fantastic choice.
Just finished watching the OnePlus 13 review, and I’m even more excited to get my hands on it! The specs look insane, and that design is so clean. I’ve already ordered a screen protector from Gadgetshieldz to go with it-learned my lesson after scratching my last phone. 😅 Their protectors have always been super clear and easy to install, so I’m hoping it’ll pair perfectly with the OnePlus 13. Anyone else planning to grab one? Let’s hope it lives up to the hype!
Always been a fan of one+, but like many others, I just can't justify paying full price for it when I can get a Google or Apple flagship for next to nothing from my carrier. Why don't they carry one+?!
I hope OnePlus makes a fold, I will get it now that I’ve escaped from the Apple, the Razr is dope, but it kinda feels like a 3 year old iPhone at times
I haven't bought a phone from a carrier in almost a decade. Too much bloat and stuff I can't uninstall. Plus I don't trust them. Who knows what back end software they're installing that we don't know about. Plus I like choices. Been using the OnePlus 13 since launch and it's a near perfect phone
Yo, Lisa! 🤔 I gotta ask, how come OnePlus is tryna play with the big dogs like Samsung and Apple, huh? I mean, this 'OnePlus 13' sounds like it's got all the bells and whistles, but is it really worth that $899 price tag when I can get the 'OnePlus 13R' for $599 and still get a solid phone? You know what they say, 'keep it real, keep it cheap!' 💸 What's the deal, fam? 🤔
Mine isn't. Absolutely perfect. But I set the phone up from scratch. I didn't transfer from a backup or another phone. You likely transferred something causing the issues.
@carlbrenda6518 nope no transfer all from scratch. The issues are with oxygen os itself. Developer settings don't stick on reboot, can't lock multiple apps in memory, at time going to recent apps result in just blank having to redo the action. And several good options missing.
Where you been, we missed you

I've only bought unlocked phones for the last 10 years. I'm on the pixel 9 pro train at the moment.
The last 14 years I've only purchased unlocked phones straight from the manufacturer. Welcome back Lisa!
Forgive me for my ignorance, but what advantages have you experienced by purchasing this way? I assume there is a price break?...?

Watching it from an Oneplus 13 ☺️
Great companion to my Watch 2.

Welcome back!! I was worried!!
The OP13 is very tempting. I have an Open and I like it a lot.
The open 2 is right around the corner
Ordered this. Sorry but this year I am not buying Samsung because I don't use AI and all that phone has is AI now. More battery is the king.

Does the camera issue occur when using a third-party camera app like open camera?

Any plans on sony xperia 1 VI review?
can it replace a desktop pc?
For me it does.
That would be Dex
Whenever I see Lisa review something, I know it's going to be a thorough and detailed review! Glad you're back!
Does it have a "modes & routines" equivalent? This is what I use on Samsung to automate tasks based on location, etc.
No, but I'm using MacroDroid for those functions now, having also moved from Samsung to OP.
@MrJrr123456 oh hell no. That's indispensable.
I like this one, also the Nothing phone. I’m so behind in tech these days so your videos are a great format

@davidbrow6n6137 yup had the 7 pro and the 7 McLaren sold the McLaren kept the 7 pro that phone was amazing back in the day.

i left one plus back in 9t pro. that Hasselblad was great but you are right they pricing closer to higher priced phones. I am now on team Nothing.
So nice to see you! Great review as usual....thank you❤
I am from the EU, Google lack of support reason for why I purchased a 9PF made me pay up cash diffrence for OP13.

There's something about this phone that reminds me of the LG V60 in blue. The build, I mean.

Do the S25 Ultra, I just got it, so far its a beast.
The screen is so vibrant and colourful. Blacks are very black! The sound of the speakers are great. Love this phone! ♥️
I buy my phones unlocked from best buy or second hand. I currently have the oneplus 13 and i bought it directly from them .

Because those google and apple phones are not worth it and don't come even close to this phone when hardware is compared.
I buy my phones directly from the manufacturer, usually Samsung or Google. Looking forward to the Open 2 being my first OnePlus phone later this year.
