So glad that you are doing this review. It's important you cover regular phones too, your opinion is important even though you might feel that you only want to do foldables.
I definitely only want to do foldables, haha - but I skipped last year's OnePlus and changes over two generations (instead of just one) make it easier to stay interested. Thanks for the feedback!

Tbh as a user of the iPhone 16 Pro, I'd MUCH prefer a really good 3x camera over a 5x... the jump from 1 to 5 is just way too big to be useful most of the time. Having a huge 3x sensor that can easily also do 6 or 9x zoom is much more useful than a 5x that can do 10 and 15x.

while we'd all love a tiny phone again, for what you're asking for, you'd basically have to sacrifice battery life, storage space, camera quality, screen quality, A LOT of processing power, and just about everything that makes your phone well... usable in the modern day. a phone that small would have a weak SoC, a bad camera, a meh quality screen, 32GB of storage max, no selfie camera (im sorry what did a front facing camera do to you?, no IP resistance, and it'll be dead by 1AM and you took it off the charger at 8AM. it's frankly a terrible idea, and you'd buy it, and good for you, but no one else would.

As always @MrMobile ... such a mature refreshing review that is more than that. Properly and eloquently narrated as we're along the voyage with you on this particular review. Hats off for amending your initial thoughts of camera partnerships after quality has evolved and calling yourself out on it BEFORE others. Again this is a mature review for real people. Cheers and thank.s

Hey how are you Just finished watching your comprehensive review of the OnePlus 13, and I'm seriously blown away by both the device and your meticulous breakdown. 🌟 The inclusion of the Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite processor is a real game-changer-it’s like having a mini supercomputer in your pocket! The integration with Hasselblad for the camera system takes mobile photography to another dimension. Your sample shots truly showcased the camera’s ability to capture vibrant, detailed images even in challenging lighting conditions. The 100W charging speed is another highlight-being able to juice up the battery in such a short time is incredibly convenient for users with hectic schedules. Your step-by-step guide on how the charging technology works was enlightening and will help many understand the benefits. I also appreciated your attention to the enhanced display technology. The higher refresh rate and improved brightness levels you demonstrated will undoubtedly make a difference for gaming and media consumption. And let’s not forget the battery life-longer lasting power without compromising on performance is always a winning feature. Your balanced review, highlighting both the pros and potential cons, sets you apart from many other tech reviewers. It’s this honesty and depth of knowledge that keeps me coming back to your channel for reliable insights. Keep up the fantastic work! Your reviews are always a treat to watch, and I can't wait to see what tech marvel you explore next. Thanks for all you do!"
I wouldn't mind a genuinely waterproof phone. A couple weeks ago I accidentally submerged my Pixel 6 Pro (IP68) in 2 feet of water in a pool for a couple minutes, noticed, removed it from the water and toweled it off, tested it and it seemed to still work fine, and figured the waterproofing did its job and didn't think anything of it. But then over the next day it progressively got worse, first the fingerprint sensor disappeared from Android (with enough time in between the incidents that I didn't connect it with getting wet), then the phone started to boot loop, then finally the screen died with a strange green wash, though it still responded to touch inputs even if I couldn't see anything. Looks like water got in through the SIM cart slot, even though I've only ever swapped SIM cards once with it. Was able to get the screen replaced a week later and the fingerprint scanner still doesn't work (I figure it might require a factory reset) the rest of the phone seems functional. Still, an expensive mistake.
I missed the premiere but it was nice to enjoy the video without distractions, I need to upgrade my phone's (realme 8 5g and LG Wing) so I am looking where can I go and lately this one looks good enough
After switching to a Pixel Fold 1 a week or so ago, I just cannot go back any more. I just think it's the best of both worlds as I can have a phone that's small enough for one handed use, but then fold it out to a big screen and the aspect ratio being square makes it a lot better for actual productivity use. Makes me want a Surface Duo 3 now, Microsoft should bring back Windows Phone and make one as it would be perfect for the ARM tablet version of Windows.
I generally enjoy OnePlus devices (splurged for the McLaren Edition 7 Pro 5G on T-Mobile years ago), but it says quite a bit that the company still can't figure out proper magnetic charging with already existing standards and tech available. It's nice to see that the Hasselblad collab is finally paying off, but I don't see myself picking this one up if the one compelling feature is an undercooked peer-to-peer communication service, even though I would love such a capability on my phone without needing to download a third-party app. As always Michael, your reviews and context are greatly appreciated, and I hope we can cross paths soon.
@@Samsonfs T-Mobile also has its part to play by not forcing the issue and mandating OnePlus establish support networks prior to being selected as a new brand. Maybe they'd still be in the device lineup had they made some semblance of effort to meet customer expectations.
@@HumbertoSaabedra mine was with EE in the UK as one of the first phones on the 5g network, after that OnePlus phones were almost completely dropped from the carrier. Really poor support.
A good filter makes a photo more memorable for me; it makes it stand out in my gallery. Phone cameras are at the point where I don't really want to spend hours pixel peeping and compare different phones, I just want something that will bring memories of that moment. I am glad more and more phones come with 'interesting' filters. Kudos to OnePlus

Was able to get the screen replaced a week later and the fingerprint scanner still doesn't work (I figure it might require a factory reset) the rest of the phone seems functional. Still, an expensive mistake.
The opening music was a major throwback
I missed the premiere but it was nice to enjoy the video without distractions, I need to upgrade my phone's (realme 8 5g and LG Wing) so I am looking where can I go and lately this one looks good enough
Love the quality of your vids
After switching to a Pixel Fold 1 a week or so ago, I just cannot go back any more. I just think it's the best of both worlds as I can have a phone that's small enough for one handed use, but then fold it out to a big screen and the aspect ratio being square makes it a lot better for actual productivity use. Makes me want a Surface Duo 3 now, Microsoft should bring back Windows Phone and make one as it would be perfect for the ARM tablet version of Windows.
Looking forward to CES coverage, I know it's gonna be good!
Depending on the range the bt calling would be perfect for cruises calling your parents to find them etc
Michael your review videos are so much better than MKBHD’s. You’re a master at story telling.
There you go being one of the best travel bloggers again.
Did yours also only get a single software update to android 10 7 months late?
@@Samsonfs Yup, it's sitting in a drawer because of that very reason.
@@HumbertoSaabedra disgraceful that they abandoned those phones. They denied responsibility and provided no support.
Travel vlogs or not MrMobile reviews always feel like a stroll through the experiences of human marvels.
Does this have an call recording option already built in to the call settings?
Wait did symphony leave NYC and when did allure get the retro fit for NYC
You've been outside android authority fir 9 years? time flies, you've grown older, and i've grown older too
thanks for the years of good advice
Quite an amazing turnaround by OP since those snappable phones......
Love it! I'll be living on Allure this summer, looking forward to it 🛳️
How does rhe beacon link work? I though Bluetooth was only for short distance? Is this something to do with satellite calling?
A good filter makes a photo more memorable for me; it makes it stand out in my gallery. Phone cameras are at the point where I don't really want to spend hours pixel peeping and compare different phones, I just want something that will bring memories of that moment. I am glad more and more phones come with 'interesting' filters. Kudos to OnePlus
Great production, fantastic phone. 1000 euro, not for me. Keep up the great work. Greetings from Dundalk, Ireland.
I genuinely don't think there is a better reviewer. I have been watching your videos since you were at pocketnow and I still can't believe how good you are at your job.
Ha, it's nice to see Marcel Campos again in that keynote.
Cool wallpaper. Where can I get it?
Can attest to the battery - like Boris the Blade, it's apparently impossible to kill it. I've gone out of my way to drain the OP13 and I still end up with a third of the battery left.
