The flying boat is insane
I submitted a super proper boat to a boat challenge and got out-voted by a plane, a train, a submarine, and a pizza. WTF.
😆 only in a video game would this happen.

I think an all weather boat challenge would be cool- set wind to max and fastest time from a to b wins, however capsize means disqualification.
Or only disqualification if you capsize and the boat doesn’t reerect it self
I don’t think speed is fair, mainly because some people will abuse unrealistic mechanics or exploits in order to win when making a not so fuel efficient or even practical craft.
I’d say a rating system based on survivor capacity, equipment quantity and accessibility, operation range and cost of both the vessel and its operational range in fuel, then maybe it’s handling of poor conditions such as self righting or active stabilisation.
Gotta remember that both in game and in real life its not always about being fast but being safe and efficient, fast rhibs and such cover inshore when its safe enough, all weathers can still respond for faster treatment than returning to shore and can go offshore as needed. not all of them are fast, plenty of them are around 30knts with better efficiency for range.

i love all these creations a lot i do feel that the riptide and the Shuttle are both amazing designs but since one relies on a glitch to move and one flies that wouldnt be boats as such and the other wouldnt really always be viable since if the glitch is patched its not going to work at all no offence to the creators honestly they are beautiful creations but thats just my opinion on them personally :)
Ever since the first day we got this game, we had all been oppressed by the glitches. Glitches that sent our cars into the sky, glitches that flipped our cranes, glitches that made ours train disappear. I myself died no less than three times by the glitches that ravaged our world. It is about time that we turn the tables and rise up. The shuttle is our statement. That we shall take that which hurts us, and make it our servant! :D

Lol, I don't think that NJ was that impressed that my boat flies, also a plane that was made to land on water is a hyroplane, but this is a boat that was made to fly so really its a aeroboat. And if you play Stormworks career you need something that gets there fast, in all weather conditions and uses min fuel so thats why I have this little guy. (and he is just fun to go around in!)

How do I submit my creations?
Most of them seams to be a pain in the *** to use to do the career mission, some can't reverse, some have a 5 minutes range some are not even lifting things they already lean on one side.
I think to be in the top 10 you need to be able to be 100% usable for career.

agreed, I did my best to make a creation that's overall good for the early game, just to outshined by creations that use bugs, dont have enough fuel or are impractical in general. But it all comes down to the voting system.

Your chances of a boat becoming a plane are marginal but never zero...
This challenge is a joke, there were so many good starter boats, yet it's the meme/flashy/gimmick boats that get showcased. The only actually decent starter boat in this video is the Canadian SAR boat and maybe BrilliantShadow's too. Camii (who thankfully I'm sure is in the next video), Chickensaur, AlCapwn, Reaper, Pika, Mongrade, are just some of the people who actually made good starter boats, yet it's the gimmick boats that get shown off. I was hoping this would have been a good challenge to help out new players by showing them some options for starter boats. I just got the game recently and that's one of the first things I looked for but couldn't find any decent boats. This would have been a great way to help people who had the same question I did. A flying jet-ski is missing so many useful things for starting a new career, yet "Look! Haha, flying boat!" gets the votes.
Perhaps I was just expecting/hoping for too much. I just know that I can't take any of these Top 10 videos seriously and that if I want to find the actually good creations I will need to go through the submission lists myself.

@@MrNJersey Yep, one is a difficult to control hovercraft, another is an impractical battleship, the Octopuss is okay (although runs into problems with rescuing larger groups of people), Camii's RHIB which is the best out of this "Top 10", and I don't remember who the 5th one is. I want to say maybe Pika. Sorry I was a bit heated in my first comment, just a little upset some of the lesser voted yet more practical starter boats won't get any notice.

Damn I tried to the best starter boat, not the most creative and I barely got 2 votes. The voting system is so flawed that I dont see myself competing anymore.

Meme creations should be disqualified. This is s search and rescue game, not Reddit. The plane, the train and the submarine are all memes. The first boat and the last boat were actually good though

If you don't understand the joke, think about the main argument against having weapons on the game .
But really, the only things in this video that actually "qualified" for the challenge to build a starter BOAT were the first and last ones. Just because it floats doesn't make it a boat! Sea king helicopters can float but they definitely ain't boats
Since this is a boat challenge a vehicle that is flying should be disqualified. However, if it can be used as an actual boat, then it shouldn't be disqualified but can't win the challenge since it isn't 100% boat
@Kollin VT if Mr. NJersey said that originally, then as long as the vehicle can float and properly propel itself in water, then it would count
The boat that flies would be a seaplane so I say it should be disqualified
no, it doesn't fly it just skims the surface and you cant control the trim so it cant go overland so It's still a boat more than a plane and definitely shouldn't be disqualified
