When somebody finds a good tractor like he just found, Erin brings it back to life. I love those kind of videos. I grew up on John Deere B Tractors and we had a 630 and 730 and I just cannot get them out of my blood. I'm off to Farm for many years now I just can't get them out of my blood. I love Now that's a good video I love
That's awesome. Those B series tractors will last forever and so simple to work on. At least you have lots of space to collect more tractors. Thanks I enjoyed it.
It really isn't all that bad. I wish the guy before me hadn't taken it apart because it really didn't need disassembled. Talking with the original owner, he stated he always maintained it well and it was used to maintain their road. Once the county started caring for the road, he parked it.
Yes sir, I would have to agree. This one won't be parted out, and I'll plan to keep it and fix it up. And worse case, I'll get it to someone who will fix it if I don't.
Love your channel always a joy to see what you find in those old tractors and to be able to get them going Thank You always a pleasure t o watch your videos
Hey Kent - I'm glad your dad enjoyed it. That makes me smile. I look forward to sharing a whole lot more with getting these tractors operational again. I wish I could keep them where I live at. It would allow me to be a lot more productive with them. I hope you and your dad had a Merry Christmas and that you have a Happy New Year!
Thank you so much! I'm very pleased that it started so easily and look forward to saving it instead of parting it out. What project do you need to tackle?
Great to see it run again! I would have poured water in the block before starting just for safety and know that nothing leaks. Looking at the end when you dumped the diesel out I think you might want to do that a couple more times. Looks to be a saver!
Sure looks like a saver to me too! I am going to test it with water next before going too far with it. This property is pretty remote and doesn't have water as it's in the Colorado High Plains desert, but I'll bring some with me for a future video.
That’s awesome that it runs after 40 years. If it was me, I’d fixed it up if you don’t want it sell it. That would be a shame to part it out IF the transmission and PTO work fine.
I had a feeling that's all it needed and sure enough it was. Looking forward to sharing more with this tractor and getting it operational again. I'm happy to save it and not part it out.
Hi Matt! I definitely have to save it now after hearing it run. This long list of tires I’m needing is getting expensive lol. And if for some reason I change my mind about me wanting to save it, I’ll make sure it goes to someone that will.
I love when they come back to life! :) To my knowledge, the single front wheel tractors were specifically for vegetables planted it narrow rows. These tractors are pretty common where I live in Colorado. I see John Deere, Farmall, and others setup that way. I imagine they're kind of risky/unstable on uneven terrain.
The single wheel, along with the adjustable rear wheels, was intended for the California vegetable farmers with small to medium sized farms as a low cost chore & cultivating tractor that could be started on gasoline for warmup, then be switched to low cost kerosene or tractor distillate fuels for more economical farming. Quite ingenious, really…
I agree, there’s a lot worse ways I could spend $150. It’s definitely a saver after hearing it run. I’m disappointed in the fact that it was taken apart before me when it really didn’t need to be. But, that’s part of it being a good deal I guess.
Not back when this tractor was made, this was wartime production, and John Deere was making anti aircraft guns for the Navy, amongst other war materiel. Not the Corporate hacks they are now…unfortunately they fail American farmers for profits…

i have seen videos of workers in India fix worse tires than yours!! great job you do to save these machines

They really are simple to work on, and were designed and built to last the test of time. Thank you for the comment. I look forward to sharing more.
Man that one seems to be in better shape than the other one! I think is worth fixing!👌😎👍

As a kid I used the older one all summer.
I would have to say fix it up. Even if you don't want to keep it, someone would love to have it in their collection.

Thanks James, I enjoy this hobby and being able to share it with others. I’m looking forward to sharing more soon hopefully!
Hans,
My Dad really enjoyed your vids, and was amazed how you got them running.
That's a great $150 deal Dude.

Great job !
Your motivating me lol !
Hope to see you move forward with this.
Maybe some slightly used tires will pop up...

I decided it won't be parted out. I'll work to get this thing operational and share it on here as progress is made.
Great find. Love these old tractors.
Me too! They were obviously built right and are pretty simple to work on with basic tools.
Very nice! The new magneto and carb really did the trick.
I had a feeling that's all it needed and sure enough it was. Looking forward to sharing more with this tractor and getting it operational again. I'm happy to save it and not part it out.
Nice. Forget financial sense, just restore it. My favorite part was the chocolate shake at the end. Udf calling my name.
It gets hard when there's a stack of tractors all needing work lol. But, I'll keep it. That chocolate shake that drained out was pretty nasty, ugh.
That's a great hat Hans! Yup, you gotta save it or pass it to someone who will. Kenny maybe? 😂

More smiles today Hans. Can’t part her out now. 🤭🤭👋👋👍🏻👍🏻
Why was the single wheel on the front an option. Ya see that on other brands too ?

Interesting. You would think the narrow duel front wheels with the way they are slanted would do the same thing. 🤔🤷🏻♂️

Thank you Paul. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋
Wow! I'm impressed! What a buy!
That's $150 well spent!!!! Looks like a saver!
Is there a trip to Colorado in your near future?

Very well done ✅✅✅
Thank you!! 🫡
I own a 1944 Model BN, I’m still working on it…but it runs! And they are rare!
That’s great! What kind of work do you need to do on yours?
Why are the Mag's and Carb's gone on your "B"s ? And why no Tin ? (hood, tank, grill) ?
The people I got them from had removed them unnecessarily. I’m left just putting the pieces back together. ☺️
Wonderful
thank you!!
Love the old iron
Thank you! Me too! I love preserving these old machines.
I got a few tractors a 1949 8n a 1953 super A and a 4610 series 2 Ford
Sounds like a nice lineup!
...from my point of view (Munich/Germany) this is a great landscape, too!!! 🤓
Thank you!!
It was a lot less work to start this JD than the other with stuck cylinders - no need for a sledge hammer.... ;)
Hey Glen! Yes, this one was pretty much no effort. I'd be happy to acquire more like this. I'm lazy lol.
That old gal is worth restoring 😊
I think so too!
That was a great found
Thanks Harold, I thought it was a good deal, and even more so after it popped back to life!
@@TractorHoarders I fix’s up old garden tractor and work on small engine really enjoy watching your videos
👨🔧🚜👍👍
Well, it runs, you have to keep it. Pretty sure that's a law.
Haha, I think so too Dave!
Save it 😊
Yes, I will!
You pretty much stole that tractor
Piss on John Deere ! Traitor company!
We’ll see if they change their mind under Trump
