AFAIK, the thing in its chest is basically the same nanobots the Turn A and Turn X use for fast real-time repairs and "moonlight butterfly". Reasoning being they tend to glow in a rainbow like colour every time they're visually shown. The reasoning for it showing on the chest is probably due to it using a far less efficient variant of the Turn A's Nanobot generator. Also, the shining finger is from G Gundam. And yes, thats more then just an off-hand reference. Canon wise, the Turn X shining finger is directly designed from the God Gundam from G Gundam. Wouldn't recommend thinking to hard on that one.
It's not that hard to grasp because Turn A is set WAAAAAAY after all the other Gundam series released prior to it. In-Universe they call it the Dark History.

When HGCC Turn X!!?
Nice! I just picked up one but havent had a chance to build it.
My biggest mistake ever: turning Turn X into siege mode too many time, now it's arms are really loose
Worth it anyway
You can apply a little bit of super glue or clear nail polish on the pegs to strengthen them.
god i wish i had the money to buy this
The only game i have with a playable Turn X is Dynasty Warriors Gundam Reborn..
