I went to Califonia in May and I loved the Redondo pier, that's why I watched this video because I was only there a week and yet I miss the beautiful smell of the air and the wonderful view of the pacific ocean.
I miss Redondo beach. Sitting at Najas, drinking a beer and watching the girls go by. I loved the Mhai Thai's at tonys. Nothing better than drinking one of those and watching the sun go down.
I live in Manhattan Beach and I use to go to the pier frequently to fish as a child. I took my kids this past week and noticed it was extremely dirty. The people that gather at the pier are also unsightly.
Grew up here. Learned to surf here in 1960. Even worked at Tony's. Growing up here was great, It is one of the things I miss most about living in So. Ca. It will always feel like home
".....salt water perfumes the air....." Now that is intoxicating screen writing! If I watch many more of your videos, I may be selling my New Hampshire land and move out there! No, wait, you have a sales tax and an income tax..... I'll just come to visit. :-> Great video!
Thanks! I hope when you come out to visit that you find time to visit this great California beach! New Hampshire sounds like a great place - no income or sales tax? Wow!
Yes! According to seeing-stars, the beach was used for episode 2; episode 19; episode 7; episode 19, and episode 21. Additionally, in episodes 5 & 6 of (season three), Redondo/Torrance beach appeared as Johnny's Surfing Beach. In episode 3 (season four), "The Cold Turkey", Volchok surrendered to Sandy in the beach parking lot. In episode 4 (season four), "The Metamorphosis", Ryan is shown running and exercising on the beach.

I grew up in RB. The pier is a shell of its former self. That pier had restaurants and shops all around it and over the water.
