Making this comment just based off title and haven’t listened yet, but I thought I kind of liked how he was similar to Friday the 13th because it allowed for some of the tropes and little nuances from the killers pov to be more apparent since it kind of followed a template
Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon. Not a bad movie Rob. They used to do multiple stories in one movie like Trilogy of Terror, Tales from the Crypt and one of the best was Trick or Treat.

I enjoyed it! Ppl will say good things and bad things but I love the old slasher movies and it gave me a bit of nostalgia
