I think the way that the fire cools as you go ending with hot coals makes the perfect setup for cooking rice, Hot for a quick boil then less and less heat as there is less moisture. Actually that cycle works well for a lot of cooking situations.
+RS Marett I know! I love square pans, I want to make something unique, but it may be quite a while before I can, I have other items in line. I wish I could do everything at once. Thanks!
Great food ideas!!!!! I use my nano several times a week, but usually with a Trangia burner. It's great as a dual purpose pot support and windshield that folds up and fits in your pocket.........
Mark, I have a new idea i would like feedback on. Please send your shipping details to steve@fireboxstove and I;ll send one to you for evaluation. Thanks.
OMG!!! Talk about a food fest!! You cooked all kinds of food in this video! I would hope it was over a period of time! Things looked good. Nice family gathering also. Good video.
Damn... I need to hide this video from my wife. If she saw some of these meals, my pack weight would go through the roof! That said, enjoying a gourmet meal in the backcountry is one of life's great pleasures. It's amazing how being out there makes it taste even better. Great video, with some great cooking ideas!
Hello. Wanted to add a final comment. Wanted you to know that I absolutely loved this video. Have watched it 5 times. The vast variety of foods and meals that you cooked on your stove was incredible. I took notes. Lol. You cooking on the stoves for a large family picnic was a nice touch also. And BTW I got one of your Nano's and it is great. Awesome little stove. Can cook anything on it. I'm in to natural wood fuel now. No more carrying fuel canisters that leak. Wood fuel is everywhere. Looking forward to your next product and/or video. Keep up the great work.
+RS Marett Thanks! I'm so glad to hear that you're enjoying your Nano! I actually have a new version of the 5" Firebox coming. I'll be posting a video showing it off Friday morning. And doing a KickStarter on Sept 25 at 8am MDT. Thanks for the support!
I love my firebox, I have cooked loads of meals on it, they are excellent all fuel stoves great for backpacking, picnics and burning privet, bracken and all garden waste, with a nice meal at the end of all the waste burning, great bit of kit
Enough ideas in this 7 year old video to keep me busy for a year with the FB stove... cooking fajitas on it for the first time tonight... in the backyard during the first snowstorm of the season!
I have actually gotten feedback from a couple who, as a weight loss program, cook dinner exclusively on their Firebox stove. They are seeing success! They must be making appropriate menu choices as well. Fun stuff!

Such an amazing cooked food utilizing a top quality 5 star 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 firebox stove, food and family man, the food you cook have possiblitys that are endless with this amazing stove. I use Adobo seasoning on my fish with a lite dusting of cracked pepper, and then steam it in a pan with a little coconut oil on my firebox stove its supper good and very moist. Thank you for sharing another awesome video of your amazing products, cooking and family adventures.

Steve, you're killing me! All of it looks awesome (except the avocados, sorry) ! I love, love ,love my firebox. I just wish I could cook as well as you do...
You can! I'm not such a great cook, I just get lucky sometimes. I don't post the fails, like when I tried to roast a whole chicken over the Firebox and the drippings caused flair-ups making the whole thing black (I still want to figure out a good technique) Thanks Bob!
FireboxStove basically you can cut and flatten out a large can and bend the tin so it redirects the drippings one way while the heat comes up another way around that, back to the chicken. I'd have to see your arrangement to be more precise.
Steve, steve!!! Your killin me bro its a late night for me and im hungry and im watching this vid. Oh this is torture. That chicken avacado wrap with the tomatoe and kale was off the charts. Just a little drizzle of balsamic ir malted vinegar would have been a roger maris home run. That burger wow, and those hot dogs with your family and friends. Bro you know how to do it proper. Im just wondering how can i get a ticket to your cookouts and trips. The chilli and rice well i just cried silent tears of love. Once again steve another home run video. You rock!!!

Hi i just bought your firebox can't wait to try it out have a question what pot are you using to cook you rice and trout going camping in 2 weeks. Thanks for a great product
Hi Ron, Thanks for your order and for watching! The pan I used for the rice with the trout poaching on top is this one: www.fireboxstove.com/accessories/stainless-steel-cooking-pot It's a nice sturdy guage of stainless steel and has a nice large folding handle which is great for cooking over a wood fired stove like the Firebox. Cheers, Steve
I was watching many videos on this stove and thought a cheaper might be just as good, boy was I wrong for all the things you can do with this great little stove. another great thing about your video is you have great taste in good food as I am so sick of seeing instant oats and ramen noodles being boiled to death while Camping winter OR Summer!!

Just one question. Can I have the ingredients for the poured wrap you did in the square pan. I'm having a bit of trouble with my wraps! Cheers and all the best from the outback Jonathon b
Sure, they're really quite simple, I would go with four eggs, quarter of cup of water or milk, pinch of salt then add flour until you get the right thickness. If I have leftovers for the next day I will generally add melted butter or a tablespoon or two of vegetable oil
+FireboxStove Awesome, thank you. I was doing the same thing but without the eggs and they were edible but a bit doughy (if that is a word) I will give it a go with the cackle berries.
