This story takes place years before the start of my hero academia and follows those three characters you saw. When it says theyre vigilantes, it just means they dont have official training or a liscense so technically theyre doing hero work illegally. I dont believe they kill, but i could be wrong
Holy shit! I'm so freaking stoked! Vigilantes is an awesome series. MHA was the anime that got me to start watching "new anime" so even with some hella flaws MHA holds a good size place in my heart. Honestly would love to see your reaction to catching up to MHA but I can understand if you don't... As a semi hardcore fan of mha... I was underwhelmed by certain things. Either way thank you for all you do and especially your Rurouni Kenshin reactions. That is my favourite anime and manga and will always be. It's so wonderful and heartwarming to hear people love on Himura again.
Yes Vigilantes takes place about 7-9 years before the main series begins. It follows three characters and by Vigilante, it just means they are performing hero duties without being licensed which is illegal.
No, it takes place at most 5 years before MHA. All Might even at the start of Vigilantes is already injured, and we know he was only injured for 5 years due to his first fight with AFO taking place 5 years ago. On top of that, there is a 2+ year time skip (it's unclear exactly how long the time skip is, but Tsukauchi claims that Koichi has been a vigilante for "years now", so it is at minimum 2) near the middle of the story, so it's very likely that the end of Vigilantes happens right before the main story's beginning, especially considering what we see in the final chapter.

Feel free to post your catch-ups. But also feel free to react to this even if you don't since this is a prequel.
I will - I think I am at the end of S4 so I will start posting from S5 😊

I shall start from S5 then for reactions 😊

Note: 7-9 years only applies to a single flashback arc, not the present day of Vigilantes, which is where I assume you got things mixed up.
@@Your7T7 maybe I remember seeing Rumi from high school before she became a hero so that’s probably what confused me.
You're half right,MHA: Vigilantes takes place 7-9 years way before Deku entering into the Fray.
