I just noticed that Cal has some BIG balls to literally fight a guy with a shredded body, 1 arm, looks better then most super models and turned his saber on the spot

He only has 1 arm tho, Cal has already bested two Inquisitors various times, a fallen Jedi master, (with help) Dagen is only a Jedi Knight…
I never understood the concept of cryoprisons. Surely prisoners would be just as dangerous 200 years into the future.
Science fiction and its tropes often pay allusion to man’s relationship to technology: as a result concepts like cryo prisons reflect this being a concept for technology being applied to prisons and how that would impact a person. However many sci if concepts like this are often not really practical like you said, but the use of them is popular in media as it seems plausible and more futurist than just putting a man in a regular prison but in the future.
Also sci fi suffers a lot of the original concept of an author being lost in the wake of ‘cool science thing’. See Jarassic Park as an allegory for not to abuse the power of cloning and genetics but is often lost in the wake of ‘oh my god cool dinosaurs.’
Well, maybe something similar to unconventional immortality until release would be better. Forcing a human to be conscious and unmoving for centuries would certainly give them a change of perspective.

This guy was super interesting, I loved the character. Not gonna lie I was actually pretty upset when I killed him. Also let’s get one thing straight, he was killed way too early.

@@flashcraft7412 his arc was finished, he was in the way of tanalorr and him n cal didn’t have aligned visions when it came on how they wanted to combat the empire. Dagan would’ve basically been another empire had he gotten his way and was able to train force sensitives.

I always like to go back and watch the star wars jedi fallen order and survivor to see the minor details in scenes, like when cal is helping zee and dagan comes in and says "that droid is mine" and ask "how did you live" and cal say "the usual way" while he pulls out his lightsaber and it then cuts back to dagan and you can see his hand slightly move to a more open stance and closer to his lightsaber

I have little doubt that if Dagan Gera hadn't been imprisoned by Santari Khri, he likely would have become a Sith during the High Republic era. His obsession with making Tanalorr his home and fortress world corrupted him, and it' very clear that he wants to create his own empire of Force sensitives and loyalists later on in the game.
I just wonder why. Did he develop a Force Connection to Tanalorr, something he just couldn't let go without leaving a small void within himself?

That is probably just him telepathically knocking out Bode. It's a relatively common power among telepaths and could be performed by even a regular Jedi Knight if they hone it. Notable users of this during the current period were Yarael Poof, Oppo Rancisis, and Grandmaster Yoda.
In Legends there is the ability called Deadly Sight that damages an opponent just by looking at them
It’s the first time seeing this ability since I played SWTOR it was only for a defence buff.

Santari had to have held to the Kenobi method of *disarming* an enemy combatant at close range. No quick movements around Obi-Wan, unless you know the number to Anakin's prosthetics guy...

Actually they arent... jango and boba were known as the best jedi killers then grievous and the entire mandalorian culture prided themselves on their ability to kill jedi... most of the tech in their armor is specifically designed for that purpose... plus cad bane and other bounty hunters...

Do they explain how he didn’t age? Like a in game dialogue? Because unless he’s from a very long lived species or someone was added to his treatment, this means bacta can keep you alive indefinitely.

I look forward to seeing the movie version of this game. I saw the "Jedi: Fallen Order" movie version and I enjoyed it very much. However, what happened to Cal's first group of friends? Were they all killed? You don't drop characters from a storyline without an explanation. 🙁

You bleed it. Sith takes the crystals of the Jedi they kill and bleed it red. Ashoka took 2 crystals from the Sith she killed and bled it white if I recall.

Additionally the corruption that we did see was mainly ensured to rise because it was part of the Sith’s plan; Bane in both Canon/Legends planned to corrupt it from within.
The politics in TPM were so messy in the first place because Sidious and Plagueis had everyone fooled.

Not only that they forgot about a planet that could have saved the Jedi Order.
There was a massive war with the Nihil, and the planet was devastated by the shattering of the moon.
It's reasonable to assume Santari Khri didn't tell anyone that she had preserved him. He was wanted by the Jedi at that point, and she worked to protect him rather than simply off him.
She sent Zee to wake him up when she was leaving Koboh, on the back of the failed defense against the Nihil. That's what she's talking about in her message - "seek me out, or go to Tanalorr". She expected Zee to free him, so when he never showed up, she likely assumed he chose Tanalorr (and kept the droid).

@@randomrazr she got waylaid by some rubble (trapped). Cal later managed to free her, and she becomes a sort of companion throughout the game. Not sure about after the main questline, but she helps keep the forest array open so the Mantis can get to Tanalorr. I imagine she goes back to Pyloon's after that.

So I think the idea of having a Jedi/Novice Sith bleeding a kyber crystal than Sith making a synthetic crystal. While can be seen as an insult to the Jedi and would be the perfect middle finger, the process of killing a Jedi, stealing their kyber crystal and then bleeding just feels much more insulting. Plus it’s kind of like a rite of passage for Sith

There has always been a frustrating use of light sabers in many of the latest cinema scenes, games and other wise. Refer to 4:49 for example. Pulling out your lightsaber when ships are miles a way? Giving away your position with a glowing stick. No one would do that in a real scenario. Lightsabers, sabers of any kind are close combat. It your a Jedi night the force is your distance weapon, if a gun is not handy.

When you all the hope from the beginning, but cannon see that path and answer when being tested , everything you encounter will be a challenge even you have all the hope , ppl dont know they have to keep the hope and create the new path , so the hope can continue and the hope also would help you creat another path , you never try you never know

Nihil ships. They're a recurring problem in the High Republic stories, basically the next best thing to the Sith for an era when the Sith were meant to be thought dead.

Maybe similar to qui gon? Both got stabbed as well. But definitely not like obi wan after the clone wars fighting vs anakin level of skill. As far as I know did anakin kill quite a few masters at the temple as well. They were no match for his saber skills

It felt kind of immersion breaking how this guy just woke up, has no armor, and I slashed him 50 fucking times with a 20,000° C plasma sword. 10:04 He then proceeds to nearly kill Cal using a one handed reverse grip. I know the lore doesn't translate well to the games but you can only suspend my belief to a certain degree.

You could literally apply this criticism to 99% of the Star Wars games where you wield a lightsaber.
@@infinityactually6166Which I do. The lightsaber in games is treated like a glowing baseball bat. Only Jedi Outcast and Academy got close. There's even dismemberment cheats.
@sarcasticsaber8902 True the lightsaber combat in those games were top notch. The combat in this game is like a watered-down version of Sekiro, only once the boss is stance broken in that game you do massive damage, unlike this franchise. It may have been better to do that if they couldn't capture the brilliance of the Jedi Knight. That way it would be more realistic.

Why did they not just freeze people who were very strong in the force and have an impact to the galaxy then with this technique, i mean some of the character back in old republic or sith's could've come back for Skywalker saga by this logic.
What i mean by all of this is - You kinda ruin the main story of an era if u introduce '' time travel '' into the plot or something like this in the game.
Freezing people has been a thing in Star Wars since Empire Strikes back.

So is this canon or EA fandom because the inconsistency in power levels and abilities with the movies, lore,comics is what I hate the most about star wars. And don't even get me started on the at times asinine plote-holes. Why don't Jedi use their force speed for every encounter as in episode 1(obi-wan & Qui con Jin)
What? This story is obviously canon.
It's canon, but the fun thing about Star Ward is that canon exists in like twenty tiers (exaggeration but you get the gist).
In terms of overall, these games and the accompanying book tie back to canon, the power scaling is just different for the games because AI battle tech isn't easy to implement into a game, so they still rely on scripts for how fights go.
Hence why lightsabers are glowing crowbars in games.
