Hi Freddy - Thank you for sharing that touching story about your Dad. My Dad passed away 10 years ago and listening to your story reminded me of all the amazing road trips we took together in his custom Ford Conversion van. I'd do anything to find that van, but I assume it's probably been destroyed by now. Fun fact, my Dad drove a Mitsubishi in the movie Cannon Ball Run 2. I was around 5 years old when they filmed the movie, and I still remember all the amazing vehicles they had on set (especially the original Big Foot Monster Truck!).
My dad also passed away 5 years ago and his video served as a good reminder of all the great times we’ve had together. For me it was when he taught me how to drive from time to time as well as all the long family trips we used to have. Life isn’t nearly the same without him. Rip 💔
Glad you had that moment with your Dad. You saying you felt like he was proud of you and chocking up a little really hit me. I lost my Dad 5 years ago next week and all i ever wanted was for him to be proud of me. I hope I am making him proud
My brother, I’m neither you. I told my dad 3 days before he died that I would be happy to be half the man he was. He died completely unexpectedly, and all I hope is I’m not too far off, but I’ll never know. Good luck to you. And to those lucky enough to have their dads, cherish it.

Freddie, keep doing what you do. Real men do cry, and even I had a tears in my eyes listening to your story.
28:57 - 31:22 The way the story was building up to this point and then suddenly the shift in mood and piano music, I was convinced it was heading for Freddy telling how it was the last time he spend time with his dad before he passed away or something but I'm really glad I was wrong. Knowing first hand how much losing a parent impacts life, it was really good to hear the story turned out to be a nice one about a cherished memory of father and son spending valuable time together.
Have to say, it's good to see owners take care of the car, especially when most used supercars get pimped out. The previous owners have maintained it well and gotta say, the wheels look really nice

I'm glad you showed how much of a nightmare vinyl wraps (and PPF) can be... a lot of TH-camrs think it's so awesome and easy to deal with... no, it's not, years down the road is a massive undertaking to remove it.
I agree with this 100% . Everyone says it's " Cheaper " sure it's cheaper initially but I wouldn't want to know the labour bill for 4 or 5 guys working on removing wrap / glue for almost a week straight then having to paint the damages from the wrap and then paint correction . No way it's cheaper in the long run . There's a time and a place for wraps like SEMA builds or B is for Build will sometimes temporarily wrap and drive it to work out the kinks for a while before they paint it , but it is getting sanded and such afterwards and that's where it makes sense to buy yourself time before you paint it .
If you treat it like a maintenance item and refresh it every couple of years before it gets baked on, does that change the value proposition? This is in terms of vehicles of a certain monetary or sentimental value.
Hello from France ! Most of car channels I used to be subscribed to feel boring now and I'd unsubscribe from most of them, but not yours because of this feeling coming through the video that you are really a good person ! Thank you for that, in France we don't have the same way of judging people with fame and money and sometimes we think that it's not really fair for some people to earn millions without real work (like kids from rich famillies...) But I think you deserve every penny you have and your success as a public personna because of your kindness, your sense of humor and the dedication we all witness ! The part when you talked about the road trip you did with your father, and a little insight on your past was really touching and brought tears in my eyes. This genuiness is what's make you special and intersting beyond cars and mechanical stuff, we know we would be friends if we had the opportunity to spend some time we you and most of the people you interact with in you video ! And I'm sure of that because I bet my house, that Jay Leno with all his years in the tv show game, would smell fake people miles away ! So thanks to be you !
Freddy, I just wanted to say thank you for the fire content, I just finished the mclaren p1 series and what you’re doing is just incredible. The builds are insane the video quality is like a movie and you and your shop mates are awesome to watch. Super talented and entertaining. Keep up the great work!! Going to be binging every other series you’ve done while I wait for you to finish the next part of the p1 series 🫡
yes, exactly! he already told us he needs to keep this car for his daughter. and even more importantly to keep reminding him of his past and good memories. he should listen to himself! take good care of it, take it out for a drive once in a while. and he has plenty of other cars to have fun modding. this is a keeper.
Doug the type of guy to sell a car he did a cross-country road trip in to someone for all of their life savings. Seriously though, wonderful video Freddy. I'm so happy you have that car back with which you have such a personal connection. My favorite thing about the car community is the love and passion people have for their cars and I can tell you put a labor of love into this thing getting it where you wanted it. Also it looks worlds better back with that factory silver compared to the wrap!
This video feels so nostalgic. I started watching your videos since the Vantage and it feels like a full circle. Seeing this car in the same garage as a P1 rn makes me so proud. Onwards and upwards brother🚀
I had a not so similar road trip with my father before he passed. It wasn't an Aston from PA to FL, but a submarine from Norfolk to Port Canaveral. He went underway with us for the 3 day journey, seeing maneuvers, damage control exercises, and lived a submariners life. It was so special to share that with him, and have a couple of days in port at Cocoa Beach. You'll cherish that time spent your entire life. Great video, glad to see the car return home to you. Looking forward to the upcoming videos!
Freddy you articulated something I think many of us feel - that cars go beyond being transport. They create meaningful memories with loved ones, bring communities of people together and offer incredible experiences. Thanks for sharing your story, I have so many happy memories of chasing rally cars across Wales with my Dad in his 306 diesel estate (and sleeping in the back!) to driving to Le Man with a group of enthusiast friends in our stickered up cars. Keep going!
This Aston has become a symbol of car TH-cam at this point. From the iconic Doug DeMuro videos back in the day, to you getting it. Other projects come and go, but the Aston is forever!
The camera quality of the video is IMMACULATE. Whatever yall did. Do it more. Plus Such nostalgia from this video Glad to see it radiate through you Mr tavarish
The story of your dad struck home. My parents brought my twin brother and me from Italy when we were one and one-half years old. We lived in a fifth floor tenement walkup in lower Manhattan. Both my mom and dad worked 6 days/week all the time we were growing up. Most of the time my dad worked two jobs to make ends meet. He never complained once about the eighteen hour work days. He instilled into his sons the work ethic that I think led to my brother and mine's success in life. We both graduated from MIT and went on to become orthopedic surgeons, working together for over 32 years. I am grateful that he lived long enough to see his son's achievements. I am retired now and I think fondly of my dad every day. Keep up the great work you do on your channel and congratulation on yours success. I am certain your father would have been very proud of what you have achieved in your life.
This is such a mindtrip for me. My dad bought a 2008 V8 Vantage over 10 years ago and when he passed in 2020 I could not get myself to sell it. Every single time I drive it, it reminds me of him and will probably never be able to part with it. Thanks Tavarish for sharing!
Me too. Veyrons make no sense to me. Not attractive. Heavy. Outrageous maintenance. Performance that will never be used on the road. Yeah they’re technologically interesting but ultimately they leave me cold. Later Bugattis got better looking.
@@stuffhappens5681 Nobody asked for your TED Talk, my dude. Cars like this aren't about making sense they're about making noise, turning heads, and maybe scaring a Prius or two. If you don’t get it, you’re not a car person. Case closed
Great story in the end. It actually made my eyes a litlle wet. We are immigrants from Czech Republic, came here 30 years ago and went throug struggles, still trying to save our business after covid disaster and it's 28 years history. We have two boys, 8 and 12 years old. Doing our best to raise them well together with stories like your dad has been probably telling you. Seeing you in that seat behind the wheel, honestly I would be proud of you.
Few tips from Freddy here. Never Forget where you Came From. Always Respect what others have done for you. And never be Disrespectful to Anyone on your Way Up or on the Way Down. And always pass it on to your Children and there Children. With those few things we may actually survive as Human Beings. Then when it comes the end we can have a final think and say. That wasnt to Bad and i did my Best.
I'm so glad that this car is back in your collection and that I got the chance to be part of this journey, even if only as a steward for the car for a year or two. Sorry about the wrap! I loved the color, but man that looked like such a pain to get off. Next time, I'll be painting something.
Bro, I'm with you, various whites or metallic silvers for any vehicle deprive the retinal color sensitive cones of critical stimulation and excitement for a car of any type. For me it's an actual bummer like someone just doesn't get it, boring ass "color". Bystander here, don't care if it was a wrap and preferred something other than nothing.
Tavarish, I doubt you'll see this, but I have to say. This generation Aston Martin is, for me, when AM peaked. The styling is still bite-the-back-of-your-hand beautiful, the V8 and V12 both offered the best sounds ever fitted to a combustion engine. It is perfection. And the story about your drive home with your father, I'm not ashamed to say it made my eyes water. Enjoy the car, man, and know it's making a lot of people very, very, jealous. Power. Beauty. Soul.
Love this video!!!! So great to hear the bonding with your dad! Unfortunately my dad passed away years ago and I have had some cars since I know he would have loved! Cherish the time with your dad! He appreciates it more than you know!! You are a great son for appreciating him the way you do!
That wrap made it look like a honda civic all pimped out, leaking oil and misfiring as it drives past. Nice save Freddy, that beauty deserves it for sure.
Hey Tavarish.. I detailed this car back in like 2017 when Greg owned it (he’s a great friend of mine still) This car made my dad fall in love with the V8 Vantage even more after taking this exact car for a spin around the block. This car is just incredible. Very cool to see it return back
Thank you. I have owned 13, yes thirteen examples of the first car i bought with my money, still my favorite car, for the same reason. Every time i see a good one for sale I go to check it and drive back with that same feeling of having acheived my dream.
03:18 Based on US rates of inflation, for the car to be worth the same value as the 36k you paid in 2010, it would actually have cost you about 52k to buy back today. 36k today is equivalent to 24.8k in 2010.
Freddy thank you for sharing your story. I just did the trip with my boys from Toronto to Philadelphia and we talked and talked and I discovered their hearts and I shared mine. Best time of my life.
Bro, this is literally the first video of you that I honestly could feel every sec of your passion och ambition intertwining with your eternal vision. Your living the life, don't forget to relax.. Drive safe and keep aiming into oblivion, looking forward til your next drop. Love from Egypt
@tavarish what a video 🎉 congrats! That father/son moment was epic. You made me cry as my Dad is no longer with us but would give everything to spend time with him again. Keep the car. People tend to think that cars are just things but they tend to forget the memories and experiences that come with them. Keep up the good work!
I have an 08 Vantage that just ticked 90,000 miles -- looks and runs perfect. Mine was built by Mick Moten too -- fun fact, he's actually on Linkedin, I think he worked for Multimatic after Aston but is retired now. These are fantastic cars, very low maintenance, but when something does go wrong it gets expensive fast. Still, wouldn't sell mine for the world, its my favorite car.
Freddie, another great video segment! Thanks for sharing part of your family story; I don't have that kind of relationship with my dad (I'm 67, he's 87). What you have is truly a blessing; savor it!
Sometimes it’s more than just a car, it’s a piece of your life. The experiences that car has given you are priceless. Congrats on getting that absolute beauty of a machine back in rightful hands Freddy!
That is so awesome that you got to spend that time with your dad. Such a good bonding time and memory with this car. Congrats on getting your car back. Enjoy it
Father/Son respect for what they both reveal to one another is precious. Glad for both of you to have that opportunity ride. I regret that I missed it with my father.

I love this generation of V8 Vantage. The design is so pure. I love this car much more than the P1. I love the sound, and the fact it has a proper manual trans. It's So very cool. Please keep up the good work. Thank you.
The story about your dad and the road trip is awesome! Cherish that memory and time together forever my friend! Thanks for sharing. I know that’s not the easiest thing to talk about to people you don’t even know.
Love that story Freddy! Thanks to Autotempest I found an amazing deal on my 2020 CLA 35 AMG this last year clear across the country! Long story short me and the girlfriend road tripped it back to Utah from Long Island and stopped in Pittsburgh on the way back. Two months ago we ended up buying a home up here. By far our most favorite memory! Thank you Freddy and thanks Autotempest for helping us make the memories!
What a great video Freddie. Thanks for sharing your personal story. I am about to embark on my own roadtrip with my own Father albeit in a rented Range Rover, but now he is 80+ years old, I am not sure how many more roadtrips we will get to enjoy together. Thanks for reminding us all what’s important in life.
This video has exceptional camera work, props to your videographer! Awesome story! I can totally relate, would love to buy back my old supra I sold 15 years ago.
bro, my family immigrated from the former Soviet Union as well when I was 3 years old resonated with your story deeply. what a beautiful piece of engineering, so much more than a car. blessings to you brother!
Really enjoyed this video, old mate,I purchased my Dad's 1952 Ford Twin Spinner in 1980 he bought it in 1960,and got a great kick being able just sit behind the wheel, here in Gore NZ,so your story with your Dad was great, and you must have got something in ya eye !!!!!
Great story, I never got to share mine with my dad, although I did some of my earlier cars. I have had 3 of this VH era Vantage an original one like yours then a V12S and now a V8S, have driven nothing else now for a decade. Awesome cars sound, reliable and people love them. The brand makes people happy.
Freddy, thank you for sharing your story about your father. I had a road trip similar to mine. My father purchased a German-spec 1991 BMW 850i in Edmonton, AB. He and I flew out and drove it about 4,000km back to Toronto in four days, having the most epic adventure in that car. He drove that car daily for years in the summer and still has it to this day. She is getting tired, but one day, I hope to restore it and have an epic adventure with my daughters. Keep up the excellent work.
Well done sir, great story line! I envy people like you and Mat Armstrong and John Ross for getting to spend quality time with your dad as I lost mine when I was 12. It was a long time ago now but I still do wonder what I didn’t learn.😀👍🏼👍🏼
Great father story. I had a similar occasion with my dad. We were fishing in Wisconsin for muskys. And the last night we were fishing, full moon and he said it was time to go in. I took one more cast toward the moon and a huge female musky hit the surface bait and came out of the water and threw the plug. I expressed my disappointment. My father said "Vince it's ok, just to see these magnificent fish is a real treat.". 3 months later he passed, but will never forget that time. It's etched in my mind forever. Thanks sir.
Hi Tavarish, it has been a while since I subscribed to your channel and although I know absolutely nothing about cars or mechanics, I am always mesmerised by the knowledge and courage you guys are showing. This is an absolutely beautiful car. It is personal, but I much prefer it to your P1... Please don't sell it. Make it really yours forever. Thanks for the great videos :)
Beautiful story Freddie. I wish I could find the car that bonded me forever to my dad. He was a taxi driver, and I used to ride with him and his clients....those were other times for sure....I was small enough and big enough to stand behind his seat and hug him all the way. He eventually sold the car and retired. Unfortunately the new buyer had a big crash a few months later and totaled that piece of my life. The memories still go on inside me and they always will. Anyway, I really enjoyed this video. Thank you and godspeed.
It’s so lovely to hear an small insight to your life I love to see what you have achieved watched you got loads of years since you was doing stuff in a 2 car garage

He got me I thought his dad was dead! Glad you still have him, take a flight up there, give them hugs and enjoy time together.
That feeling 31:55 slapping the steering wheel, that bond is irreplaceable.
Thank you for sharing that touching story about your Dad. glad that this car is back in your collection. Keep up the great work!!
That story about your Dad and you touched my heart, because that's something I always wanted to do with my Dad.
Tavarish, Don't mess with it........ That was your first 'Supercar', so keep it the way it was when you originally owned it.
yes, exactly! he already told us he needs to keep this car for his daughter. and even more importantly to keep reminding him of his past and good memories. he should listen to himself! take good care of it, take it out for a drive once in a while. and he has plenty of other cars to have fun modding. this is a keeper.
He should take it to car shows, that car means a lot to some people... It's literally the most famous V8 Vantage!
As a Brit, when Tavarish asked those Aston Team mechanics what colour?; I was just shouting out BRG, BRG ! apart from that keep it standard.

Do it more.

Such nostalgia from this video
Glad to see it radiate through you Mr tavarish
Congrats Freddie. I would take this over Tyler's and Ed's veyrons any day!
Case closed
Yes sir. Fully agree.
@@Tuck31r You do realize he's not talking about this car, right? Vantage , not a Veyron , you sure that you're a "car person" ?
@@Tuck31rgive it a rest, hero.
Power. Beauty. Soul.
Congrats! I just bought my first Vantage a week ago. Absolutely love it even with it's flaws. Sometimes I just go out into the garage and stair at it.
Congratulations on the new ride, mate! Drive safe and make every mile count.
Congrats! Is the car kept downstares?

This is the content we all need right now. We all have that one or two cars we wish we never sold - nice job Freddie.
Cant hate on freddie. Guy is such as friendly and kind guy. Wish you the best and WHAT A CAR🔥🔥
0:53 the vanquish James may drove to Calexico will be my absolute favorite and most beautiful Aston ever built
Lose the wrap, what were they thinking?!? A Vantage in silver is the best look.
Isn't the thumbnail of him taking the wrap off?
That wrap made it look like a honda civic all pimped out, leaking oil and misfiring as it drives past. Nice save Freddy, that beauty deserves it for sure.
silver or british racing green. Doesnt get better than james bond and GT colors
Silver is the worst coloUr imaginable on a car what are you thinking
@@brutisthepastysmasher Just admit you have bad taste.
Love that you finally got it back and those moments and stories with your dad is something money can’t buy. So good!
Hey Tavarish.. I detailed this car back in like 2017 when Greg owned it (he’s a great friend of mine still)
This car made my dad fall in love with the V8 Vantage even more after taking this exact car for a spin around the block.
Abolish the Fed!

Nice driving into the sunset behind the Spyker!

It's great to see you two together again! The upgrade of the exhaust, the pulley mod on the engine supercharger...great!
So happy to see the vantage back at home! You inspired me and I was finally able to buy one a few years ago. I hope we'll see it again on the channel!
Thanks sir.
Freddy, been a fan since you started installing those red/black garage cabinets!

The part about your road trip with your dad was awesome! Best of luck always. I have been a huge fan of your content. God bless
