One of my favorite things is how they can create multiple arrangements for a single song, depending on which members or instruments are available. Keeps performances alive and spontaneous, and never feels too sparse or minimal with just these two.
I feel the exact same way. I’ve been a little stressed this month, and Radiohead’s music always brings me peace. And if it’s not Radiohead, it’s adjacent to Radiohead, i.e. The Smile, Thom Yorke, Atoms For Peace, etc.
@@swapnanilsarkar6421 The beach boys' album "Smile" has a much different feel, I don't know if this song would fit at all. I may have to respectfully disagree.
This album was the first to come out during my time as a fan. I was a senior in highschool 2011. Only in 2009 did I become a fan- first with The Bends, then onward through the discography
Look at Jonny, wearing a button up shirt and a sportcoat! I’m so used to seeing him in a t-shirt that says something like “Lifeguard” that this was genuinelty surprising

I sincerely hope Thom and Jonny haven't moved onto The Smile to give up the ghost on another Radiohead album. Hopefully all the members will come back one day, and don't instead perceive Radiohead as a band of which it is now better to just preserve its legacy. Thoughts?
The Smile is just a progression and evolution of Radiohead and Thom I feel. It’s obvious that sonically the guys have kind of transcended Radiohead and have moved far beyond their early roots.I think it’s all a lot of Sentimentality for this need for the Radiohead name to be on the next project. Why cant The Smile be that. The music is amazing
@@max_435 I disagree. The Smile is more of an outlet for Thom and Jonny to express some of their ideas without being confined to the expectations of 'Radiohead'. Another album is certainly on the way, probably around 2026/2027. Admittedly, that could well be their last.
I m not fcking the ghost, but there are many who are. Those refuse to die. Those don't give up the ghost nd have used the ghost for themselves and use it to poison others. Not a holy ghost but a walkman headphones
What the fuck do you mean by 'beta?' The only time I hear that word these days is when incels talk about 'beta cucks' and I hope that's not where we're going here.
Im sorry and no disrespect to those who enjoy this, but this is boring. I'm not the kind of person who's like, 'there's more exciting things now.' I'm not the type you can reply to angrily or condescendingly, like 'they already did more math rock-like stuff on their album or movie soundtracks'. And I know, nowadays there's so much resampling and shit, and the simple message of this performance is what's worth getting bored of. I think I covered most of the angry bullshit in comments, but really, it's bland, uninspired, and boring shit. Spinetta died doing interesting stuff; age and getting old is by no means an equivalence to being boring, uninspired, bland, and musically dull.
now this is how you creatively use a repeat pedal.. the harmonies work over all chords.. incredibly smart these guys!
If you saw Joesph Arthur he did this has well use the pedal.

@@ralph9182 This one is similar to the studio version, minus the sound effects. Haven't listened to all other performances.
No matter where I am in life, if I need music therapy, Thom and Radiohead are always my go - to. They never fail to make me feel more at peace.
Same with me. They help me a lot to cope with depression and neuroses, real therapy for me, I just enjoy their music.

Yes. I always come back to Radiohead and Thom. His voice and music is mesmerizing. Also therapeutic
No band comes
Close to these geniuses
And that's not even hyperbole. It's just stating a fact.
Really, really well executed performance of this magical tune. Insert this song into any introspective moment in your life and feel it.
Swoooooonnnnnnn. This made my day, watching this, again.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Starcaster Jonny is like a different person!😂

My all-time favourite song. Stunningly beautiful! ❤

wow, this was incredible
Such a beautiful version.
Pink Floyd of our generation
Better than

Wow. I love how there is no reverb on Thom's vocals. Such a nice change from the studio version.
there is, just not that long and wet
Beautiful x
Thom is, of course, the sacred elf that keeps on giving, and Jonny looks like one of those handsome gummy sharks that they sell at the grocery stores!
That was fire asf !

Im amazed
There's a ginger busker somewhere in LA watching this and realising THIS is how you use a fucking loop pedal.

I like when in the basement version. Thom sais at the end of this song. Please tell me that sounded alright. Yeagh. Pretty Fricking Good.
Jonny got a haircut. But now he looks even younger.
I was just thinking that when I read your comment 😜
Thanks for titling it appropiately. Radiohead is Thom, Jonny, Colin, Ed, and Phil (+ Clive if you wish), not only Thom and Jonny.
ok but like, this is a radiohead song played by two members of radiohead
Neil young ….your legacy has a chance to live on
Nailed it! GOATS imo! What show was this from and when was it performed?
Hey Daniel, been a while, a wild one I bet
Some call it nice, some call it shit...
🤍🤍🙌🙌🤞
Sometimes God appears in duo.
Feel like this is Thom's Neil Young song.
Is this part of a full performance..? Link.?.
Is this phrase correct: "don't haunt me, don't hurt me..."?
That's always what I thought he said personally.
That seems to be written by google lyrics but i thought he was singing "don't haunt me,don't hurt me"

No Tom Skinner in sight
