girrrrrl I am so angry for you !!! if they stalked your damn social media and saw you were posting your own art & that's what drove them to make their decision then its 1000000% their loss. you are handling this with so much grace and I can't wait for bigger and better opportunities to find you!!
literally if you weren't given a initiall sum then u got all the right to post ur art to contribute to ur livelihood. Love your positive attitude about the rejection as more positives will come! :).
❤❤❤
Sounds a bit like they took advantage of your lack of experience. Onwards to bigger and better things! Love your attitude. I’m sure your big break is coming!
Nooooooooo, I am so sorry they dropped you. Your work is incredible and literally inspiring. I know you are going to become so big, and I love playing your videos while I do my studio work.
Ahh I appreciate the kind words 😭 I love that we are virtual studio mates 💁🏻♀️

YASSSSSSS
Please please please don't be discouraged, your art and the message that you want to spread are so you and so positive. We all know you're going to be huge, I cant wait for you to have an international opportunity so that I (a stressed British to-be-art student) can see you in person
omg, im so sorry you went through this experience! hopefully, this doesn't taint the open heart that you do towards other curators or other spaces that want you in the future. love that you are able to find the good vibes in the situation - everything happens for a reason in our art practices xx
Fresh out of University, quite a lot of strange people come out of the wood work, asking you to work on strange projects, this is often the sign of good things to come.( this happened to me) It'll only be a matter of time before more established galleries reach out. what you are doing with tying in your socials as a means to document your process is very clever, almost nobody in the Fine Art space is doing it, collectors would be stupid not to collect your work. thats not to say your social media following is the best the thing about your practice ( your paintings are beautiful) but who wouldn't love to own a painting that thousands of people have watched its creation.
keep on trucking on, you are certainly onto something!
I’m so sorry for you!! This is super messed up but you’re handling it so so well!! I’ve been dealing with rejections for non-art related jobs since graduating and it’s rough, but puts things into perspective.
I LOVE THESE PODCAST TYPE OF VIDS AHH (also im sorry for the rejection its their loss)
Your work is amazing. There will be bigger and better opportunities. ❤❤❤
i’m so sorry this happened to you 😢
It’s okay! Rejection is redirection or whateva 💁🏻♀️💅🏻
U changing your outro from "art student" to art journey is giving growth!! I support
This painting you’re making is insane. I’m sure something great will come out of it
Shouldn't there be like a proper contract? I understand it might not seem easy for you cause you might feel like you're in inferior(?) place. Like you just graduated and new so you might not have much choice. But i think to prevent this to happen again, you should at least give them global ideas of your works that you'll create for them, the concept etc. As well as proper rules, what they dont waant you to do or what you don't want them to do. As well as what they have to pay if they decide to drop you in the end (The payment for your time, cause it was still a use of your energy and creativity to match their demands).
The purple painting is give ace flag 💃🏽💃🏽
You have a studio. Do an open house and invite everyone and treat your work space as the gallery. You have the social media numbers and connections from college. Invite old teachers too. They’ll bring their people. Have your friends help you make it happen. Don’t do vanity galleries.
Do your own solo show!!!!!!!!!!!! Put these bad boys up
Oh wow nice painting in the back..
Wow the painting behind you!! I know it’s nudity but it’s good!!
You have every right to be posting your work on social media if the gallery didn't give you a 100% yes! They left you in a gray area where you didn't even know you were in the show or not. It sounds like they weren't being honest about your potential spot being open. If any gallery didn't give you a 100% yes and a contract, you have the right to post for your livelihood.

Iconic
It is their loss xx
As much as I am so so proud of this progression.. does anyone have recommendations for channels to watch that do art school vlogs?
I previously watched Cup of Jasmine, and then Brett. They are so motivating and inspiring to me, and as an incoming undergrad, an essential!
I love watching art school vlogs as a self taught artist, so here’s three I think you’ll like, these are just the ones I’m subscribed to but there are so many different channels to explore if you just type in “art school vlog, painting vlog ect,”. Camileon, dazzling fish, and ksy elf 😊
Air hug 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
noooo I feel for you, your art is so good and should be getting more exposure! also, if they haven't paid you then of course you'd post on social media when it's your job like??? 🥰
I think its always personal, like our attitude belief ignorance arrogance stubborness notlistening not open to new ideas lgbtq can b3 a red flag
Art Gallery getting upset about artist using social media ....that's so 1995
So you’re work was sought out and somehow he didn’t think the work that he loved would be received well at his gallery. That sounds like your time was wasted. This whole situation was on them and not on you.
They voided you babe 😅❤😢
❤❤,
The gallery system was not created for artist or by artist understand that. It's a dead system. Learn to sell on your own.
Oh no baby that person was not humble. They were very much being extra. Like either you like my work and we love foward or not. The tit for tat was childish on their part, in my opinion. Rejection is truly protection💅🏿
It feels like they were jerks and they were playing with you.
Time for politics 🇩🇪
Sorry this happened to you, but I’m inspired by your determination to stay optimistic!!! As a writer myself, I was told in school to expect 98% rejection for publishing….damn if that wasn’t the truth! You got this girlie 🫶🏼 P.S. obsessed with the purple painting. It’s gorgina 😍
