Southeast Kentucky, Southwest Virginia, and Northeast Tennessee are our little part of the world and we love the small towns and communities that are in it's mountains.
These little communities aren't perfect but they have a lot of beauty if you'll take the time to get to know them. Thank you so much for your comment and God bless you!

As beautiful as it is, it's basically a tourist attraction. As a former Coal Miner I know a little about this type of thing. In order for the chain to hold anything, it would have to be very tight. If the rock ever broke loose, it would snap like a twig, with the anchors only a couple feet deep. Love your videos, you even captured me once in Middleboro while out for a drive in my weekend cruiser, a gray Mustang. Keep up the good work, love and Prayers for you guy's yayyyy Coyote .. ahhhhh ooooooooo‼️ 😁🙏💙

Thank You for all your videos! Although originally from Barbourville, I lived in Frakes for 3 years. 1977-1980. I sort of grew up with this view as we used Chain Rock as a picnic spot, weekend activity spot, and campground. Your visit brought back a flood of memories! Sadly I haven't been back to this area since I moved to the Northeast upon graduation from Union College in 1985. I'm not sure I'll ever get back there as I've had 2 heart attacks in the past couple of years. So again, my sincere appreciation for getting me back there in your videos! You should do a Henderson Settlement and Frakes area called historically South America visit. Great uplifting story, beautiful scenery and fascinating history. I could tell you some unbelievable stories of the Southeastern Kentucky area history.

I'm sure the folks down in Pineville sleep better at night knowing there is absolutely no possible way that rock could never ever come down that mountain!

Hard to beat that view. It's a great story but I wonder if that chain really would stop that boulder. Hopefully nobody will ever have to find out. I live not far from the North Carolina mountains and I share your love for the hills. Keep the great videos coming.
