YouTube CAPTIONS TOO SMALL? Here’s the Fix (Make Subtitles Bigger)

Here's how to increase the subtitle font on TH-cam. If your TH-cam font is too small, it's easy to fix.
This only works on Desktop (not mobile), and it works for general TH-cam videos, not for Shorts.
To turn on captions, press "CC".
To make the captions bigger, select Subtitles/CC and language.
Then select Font Size, and change it to 100%, 200% or some other option.

I also found keyboard shortcuts on my German keyboard: "-" to make caption font smaller, "*" to make caption font larger. It works along the 50%, 100%, 200%, 400% steps.

Yes. That’s very frustrating. I hope you can find another option, as TH-cam is sometimes slow to fix these things.

@@AnthonyEnglish The problem I have with this dumb change is that even if I turn video override off, provided I have the option to, the subtitles will always stay small. Because for some stupid reason, they just keep getting reset to 50% size regardless of what I do to try and prevent it from happening.
