I love the mix between Engage the Enemy and Counterattack that you can hear in the song.
Man, I wish I had a better ear for picking out motifs. I hope there's a video out there that points it out cause I have so much trouble telling where it is

I'm gonna have to hear this in game before I make a judgement on it compared to the others.
Engage the Enemy, Counterattack, and this are all good listens, but hearing them in-game with the cutscene is what really makes them special.
yeah especially engage the enemy by itself is decent but when you hear it in game it's a totally different thing
without the context this track is honestly pretty mid, it doesn't have an epic climax like counterattack or engage the enemy, it's a lot more chill.
@@leightandrew2616 I think that's just cause this isn't the whole song. In a 30 second ad you can hear another part of the song with the main melody with flute and brass

@@pokelogikx Did you pre order Xenoblade Chronicles 3? I ordered the Special Edition from Nintendo and am waiting for my copy of the game to arrive. Probably won't get it until August though. I'll update this comment once I get it.
Between this, engage the enemy and counterattack this one is my favorite already, tho the other two are great too, the whole series is something else in terms of music
I still prefer the other 2, but i wonder how much of that is down to me watching the cutscenes amd knowing tbe significance of those songs.

Little did we know at the time that this would be the 'Unfinished Battle' of XC3.
This is clearly the "Counter Attack" of this game.
I love the musical references to the past Xeno games in it.
1:10 - Musical notes from "Walking With You" from Xenoblade 2 play
2:18 - Musical reference to "Confrontation With the Enemy" reference from Xenoblade 1
Leads directly into another musical reference
2:26 - A reference to "Counterattack" from Xenoblade 2
Either way it's just amazing how they are intertwining the worlds and that shows in the music. Gonna be tears flowing all the time in this game with these emotional highs!

I think you should credit the composer(s) when posting a track from a game. There may not be any legal need to do so, but shining a light on the people doing the work would be nice. They deserve the recognition.

EtE and Counterattack segments aside, there's a notable use of the leitmotif of Walking With You/Desolation from XC2
The feels are strong in this one.
I reckon this is incomplete- it’s shorter than engage the enemy or counterattack, and I find it weird that the drums continue all the way to the end

When you look at the sword in the background, it looks oddly similar to that of the blade of the Mechonis.

i can't believe this game didn't win best soundtrack, i'm not a fanboy, I actually think xenoblade 3 soundrack has the best soundtrack this year. there was other games with better technical work, gameplay, but god, soundtrack was 100% for this game (maybe story too), it was a disappointment from game awards. back in 2017 BOTW won goty against horizon zero down, idk why played both, played 100% both, (yeah bowt too) i thinks horizon was a very good game and zelda a good game, i don't see anything amazing, there was a lot of games like zelda (even better), ''meh'' story, it has no epic music i like it always had ( for example in bosses battles), boring gameplay spaming 1 button (twilight princess has more variety about how to aproach your enemie with your sword).
