Triumph 900 Street Twin, all the way Ordered mine after a 2 hour test ride fantastic little bike, and way better than the new Bonnie I bought back in 1978 lol it feels fantastic to ride can't wait for March 1st 2017 :)
I considered a Triumph Twin before I bought my Icon. I bought with my heart instead of my head and am very happy with it. I've been riding for 57 years.
I agree. I have just booked scrambler. expected delivery by next week. This would be my first big bike (I am 41 years young mind it) till date i have gone up to 220 CC. after research, i choose scrambler. Let's see how it goes!!!
I rode them both extensively and bought the Triumph: the Ducati was faster, and better on the freeway, the Triumph had less engine breaking, a fabulous fun factor in torque, smoother, more comfortable, looks better IMO, and sounds amazing. Although, the off-road point you made is intriguing which I did not try to do.
Very good comparoo... but think about servicing and network , triumph beats it clear , with a 16,000Kms service interval for the bonneville range triumph is any day a easier bike to live with .
Triumph Street Twin's greatest disadvantage is its Street Presence. The bike looks like a modified RE Bullet! Even after spending Rs 8+ lakhs, one does not get the respect on the road - when compared to Ducati Scrambler. Between the two, Ducati is a better choice for looks and City rides in India. Ideally, I would save up a bit more and go for Triumph Street Triple or Speed Triple.
Agreed! But in city traffic, there is hardly any space to rev up the bike. I have been riding an Enfield 500 for 24 years, and occasionally, I run in to Thiumph Bonneville on the road, but I can't make out its a Bonneville until I come close to the bike - but with Street Triple or Bennelli or Harley bikes, I know the bike instantly by the sound and looks. The street presence is a BIG factor on City roads. People make way for bikes with bigger street presence. I have seen this on my Enfield or CBR650. Seeing people make way - is a good ego massage!
sorry for the late reply Sir, but if you need road presence in the sense that the bike should have loud humming sound then you must consider Benelli 600i, its 4 cylinder gives the loudest blast on the road, people will make way even if you are few KM away from them. Buying a Triumph is itself a big proud decision, its a legacy, and i think this is what that matters the most, Brand.
MotoViking This is very much a real thing. One of my friends had a HD Iron 883 and people would leave scratches on the fuel tank (which was of a black matte finish, to make it worse) when he’d park it outside cafes.
if u need corner performance then go for sport bikes..not classic... these are meant for cruising and comfort with the retro looks.. where the triumph does the job better...
Amazing review!! No rambling, clear and informed facts! Thank you, as I am hesitating between these 2...still don't know which one to buy...leaning towards the Triumph though....
Great review - as always! I have test ridden both for a short time. Still can 't decide which one I would buy (for my next bike). In terms of riding, Ducati felt like heaven. I was immediately "at home", both in traffic and on the open road. But in terms of maintenance and fuel consumption the Triumph is bike that you will be really happy to own! It looks also more comfortable, but I hate the 5-gear box, and the engine ends too soon - and I am someone who doesn 't love high revving engines, so... imagine that! Having said that, I have to admit that the Street Twin I rode, had just 650 km on. So maybe things will get much better when it will be broken-in. I don 't know.
I absolutely love the bonnie always have, even the last gen T100 was awesome but if I were to pick a bonnie today it'd be the T120 it's simply macho and retro ya know what I mean 😊 Royal Enfield bring in your 650cc plus twin and give it dual channel ABS and I will be in the queue with my cheque book ✌️
I really dig Kartikeya's review style. A number of good points on both bikes I haven't seen in other reviews. Overall another great video & comparison, thanks guys & keep up the good work!
You guys do such great reviews. Thank you! - now can we get a triumph street triple vs the scrambler :D They're in the same price range in the US but i'm leaning toward the scrambler
Great review mate. The only thing that's stopping me is the T100. Could someone shed light on the differences between the two?? I really couldn't find much. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Great comparison Kartikeya... 😊 One more thing you could compare is the maintenance costs, the Ducati spares & service costs significantly higher than the Triumph. I heard the 1st service on the Scrambler costs Rs 13,100 & the same on the Street Twin costs Rs 6,500 approximately. The better service & dealer network that Triumph has in India is also a plus point for hassle free ownership!! 😊
Well produced and insightful video. I liked how your thoughts on refinement vs sportiness. For me though, that Ducati is hideous and the Street Twin is beautiful. You might say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but you probably should have talked more about aesthetics. End of the day, you still have to look good, so i went with the Triumph.
Thank you Kartikeya! I was so waiting for this review :). You always review any motor so well. I took a test ride of street twin today morning and what a bike! I should take a test ride of ducati as well after watching this video.
You won't regret it. One thing they forgot is that it costs practically bugger all in terms of gas (under 4l/100km for mine, beat that !) and maintenance, if done at a Triumph dealership !
Excellent review, thank you ! Choice of a classic motorcycle however is a cocktail of intuition, personal memories and expectation and the purpose of the bike. I would not mind having and the Bonny and the Icon in my garage 🤗🤗
@0:40 did he sad that it felt old school? this guy made a review about the RE Bullet, what about that then?did it felt like a fossil? I think the RE are the only old school feel motorcycles to date. the rest they only have the looks.
I’m planning to upgrade from my KTM duke 390 but can’t decide between the speed twin and the scramble, pls suggest which one is good I do weekend rides for 100 km + and once in a while touring long.
Fantastic review. Could it be possible for you guys to do a vid on how these companies are planning to expand their dealer networks across India? That'll be too good.
Really good comparison Kartikeya and Autocar India. Could you please do a review on the Harley Davidson's 2016 Iron 883 and also a review of the Triumph T120.
Great comparison, I love both bikes. But I struggle a little bit, because I read a lot about the heat the ducati generate, especially in Traffic. This would unfortunately be an no-go go for me. Is the heat really an issue?
Hey! Yeah.. all Ducati's with the L-Twin air-cooled engines tend to create a "toasty" environment because the rear cylinder sits a bit close to the rider. But, I personally feel, there always a few compromises and this is one I'd be willing to make unless i was looking at it primarily as a city commuter.
+ Autocar India is street twin louder than the old Bonneville and this ducati scrambler also does it sound better?? pls. reply...... anyone?.. thank you in advance
i tried both street 750 & scrambler. And scrambler excited me more. So, even though it was costing more, i went in for scrambler. Just booked couple of days back. expected delivery next week.
Ducati scrambler is a pathetic bike... One thing not mentioned in the review is the engine of Ducati heats up so much which may roast ur legs In our Indian summer temperature...
Triumph Bonneville or the street twin is MILES ahead of Royal Enfield Bullet in all aspects of Motorcycling. Fundamentally, Truimph bikes have new technology - vs 60 year old technology on Bullet! Bullet has not changed much in last 60+ years, The only change on bullet is a UCE all aluminium engine, and an additional 5th gear. I have a 24 years old Enfield 500, and is as fast as the newer bullets.
That's exactly what's going on in my mind. My heart says scrambler but my brain says Street Twin
57 years??????
I agree. I have just booked scrambler. expected delivery by next week. This would be my first big bike (I am 41 years young mind it) till date i have gone up to 220 CC. after research, i choose scrambler. Let's see how it goes!!!
Hey! Congratulations young man! :-) Let me know how it goes! Safe and fun rides to you!
Yes, usually, for testers, you know that for them, the fastest is the best, regardless of puny details like reliability, maintenance/oil costs, etc…
I vote for Triumph Street Twin.
Me to✋
Very good comparoo... but think about servicing and network , triumph beats it clear , with a 16,000Kms service interval for the bonneville range triumph is any day a easier bike to live with .
that's why I don't think is a very good comparison. Triumph engine is built to last and that is why has low performance.
That's probably what the ds have you believe. Mine needed maintenance after about 8000 km. But; i still love it !
Oh boy, you just rev it up a bit and you will have all the attention you want and more.
Agreed!
But in city traffic, there is hardly any space to rev up the bike. The Ducati for me. Lighter and looks miles better.
I like all bikes. Something must be wrong with me.
Not at all handsome bird.. you're not alone
Triumph looks way cool than the Du. . .
5:54 Beautifully shot!
I would surely choose the Triumph, any day!
Great review - as always! I have test ridden both for a short time. Still can 't decide which one I would buy (for my next bike). In terms of riding, Ducati felt like heaven. Ivan Castellino it’s out now. Are you in the queue? 😆
I really dig Kartikeya's review style.

Please do the comparison between Apache RR 310, Ninja 300, Benelli Tornado 302 and Yamaha R3
For me, weighing 120 pounds, the Triumph is sprung just right.
Great comparison Kartikeya... 😊 One more thing you could compare is the maintenance costs, the Ducati spares & service costs significantly higher than the Triumph. true
Noted sir!
Thanks :)

I have not tried the Ducat', but IMHO it looks like a toy, not a real bike. (Don't flame me, I judge on the look only !)
@@pateris I am an artist. And I believe me, the Scrambler will age much better than the Triumph(only on the looks department).
Good job 👏🏻
Congrats from Brazil 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Thank you Kartikeya! I was so waiting for this review :). You always review any motor so well. I took a test ride of street twin today morning and what a bike! I should take a test ride of ducati as well after watching this video.
Deepak! Thank you for watching.
Triumph is a better bike as I have ridden both.. As a classic
Are you planning to do a review between the Street Twin, 883 iron and the Ducati Scrambler....
Triumph = build quality
So everyone says the scrambler is not afraid of offroad but
Has anyone tried the street twin in the same area?
Ir's not made for it, so… no !
Great comparison. Love triumph street twin. Definitely on my shopping list
Let us know if you get one! and, what you thought of it!
You won't regret it. One thing they forgot is that it costs practically bugger all in terms of gas (under 4l/100km for mine, beat that !) and maintenance, if done at a Triumph dealership !
great video as always still love the triumph
Believe me. So do I.
An excellent Review!!! on of the best comparisons i have seen!!
Thank you Ravi!
street twin does not produce much heat in trafffic..
Most indeedy ! Mine doth not.
Excellent review, thank you ! Choice of a classic motorcycle however is a cocktail of intuition, personal memories and expectation and the purpose of the bike. I would not mind having and the Bonny and the Icon in my garage 🤗🤗
Which one is better ? Triumph boneville street twin or ducati scrambler icon ?
Triumph For the Win....✌🏼✌🏼
awesome detailed comparison with so precise execution
that is something i miss with powerdrift reviews
Enjoyed your review. very thorough, and entertaining. Well done.
OOooommmmphhh cornering!!! @5.56
@0:40 did he sad that it felt old school? this guy made a review about the RE Bullet, what about that then?did it felt like a fossil? I think the RE are the only old school feel motorcycles to date. the rest they only have the looks.

Triumph Street Twin my dream bike 🥺
Let's hope RE delivers healthy Twins without defects or handicaps. It is due anytime now.
Fantastic review. Could it be possible for you guys to do a vid on how these companies are planning to expand their dealer networks across India? That'll be too good.
I feel more comfortable spending 1 lakh More for a better design and appeal like this bike has.
service cost on the ducati desmo valves ... check it out ..its not cheap .. I owned a 750ss
Man, great video. Thanks!
Great comparision... Ducati scores!!!!
Good review. And that jacket looked like you've been down a time or two.
ducati scrambler is an insult to classic, it's a modern toy and Triumph has much more composure
Really good comparison Kartikeya and Autocar India. Could you please do a review on the Harley Davidson's 2016 Iron 883 and also a review of the Triumph T120.
We have the T120 review on our channel now. Please do take a look. Thank you.
RE Interceptor 650 or Triumph Street Twin??
Plz dont compare Apples to Oranges
Great Review! One Question? How do you think the street twin would fare on good gravel/country roads?
Hmm.. good question, ridden calmly, no issue. If you got gravel oriented tyres, I don't think it would be an issue at all.
Good Review! Where are you fellas biking? That's looks like a great place to explore. Thanks!
@kartikeya singhee! Waiting For Comparison Video on Panigale 959 vs Daytona 675r!
Me too man!
I will choose street twin
good review, thank you
great video. really quality video by all the way
Great comparison, I love both bikes. But I struggle a little bit, because I read a lot about the heat the ducati generate, especially in Traffic. This would unfortunately be an no-go go for me. Is the heat really an issue?

I like the ducati scrambler icon more than this one
is guzzi v7 available in india?
Can you review the Ducati Scrambler 62 ?
Plz do a ftr 1200 comparison
+ Autocar India is street twin louder than the old Bonneville and this ducati scrambler also does it sound better?? pls. reply...... anyone?.. thank you in advance
I vote for Ducati Scrambler Icon
Ducati scrambler is the best
Great review, well done.
I guess you should compare with Harley Davidson street 750 too
i tried both street 750 & scrambler. And scrambler excited me more. So, even though it was costing more, i went in for scrambler. Just booked couple of days back. expected delivery next week.
Good choice. Street 750 is a working Mule, while Ducati is like a Equestrian horse!
Great review, mate. Thanks.
Scrambler top speed?
Ducati wins
Very nice camparo done.....good job
y don't u compare these two bikes with the kawasakhi Z800!? I would love to see that comparison!
Z800 is the superior machine in terms of performance. out right. But, people looking at these two would have slightly different priorities.
+Kartikeya Singhee then there can be one review on the Z800 vs daytone 675!
There's a better package now: Triumph Speed Twin
was waiting for this...
Thanks for watching!
Wbu?? Scrambler Icon Vs Scrambler Cafe Racer
any chance of XSR900 coming to India?
Ufff. Man, i wish i decided that. would be here in a jiffy. The wheels at Yamaha India turn at their own pace.
Price please?????
An excellent review
Comparison between school boy (D)
and a cruiser ( T )
The Scrambler has too much heating issue which no one describes
I vote for Ducati
Looks classy. Nice.
why haven't uu compd harley street with these ...??
It is a truck load cheaper! Makes it a little difficult to compare while being fair to all.
but it is more expensive
Not that much for a ducati.
Interceptor is better than this. By numbers on the papers
triumph
Hahaha. You are a Triumph guy out an out!
Ducati scrambler is a pathetic bike... One thing not mentioned in the review is the engine of Ducati heats up so much which may roast ur legs In our Indian summer temperature...
Ducati Scrambler voted!!! :v
pls review of um motorcycles plsss
Coming up soon. Thanks!
Good video
I bet he would prefer triumph personally when he goes to buy bike for himself.
Why are these modern classics has to be 500+cc, why can't we get 200+cc category.
KTM will eat them alive
I like this demon
Nah, those Ducatis are a bit too weird.
ducati bike
yes ....But how well do these bikes stack up against a Royal Enfield Bullet ??
Will you compare RE with Scooty pep?!
Triumph Bonneville or the street twin is MILES ahead of Royal Enfield Bullet in all aspects of Motorcycling. Fundamentally, Truimph bikes have new technology - vs 60 year old technology on Bullet! Bullet has not changed much in last 60+ years, The only change on bullet is a UCE all aluminium engine, and an additional 5th gear.

simon templer better torque,build quality, speed,ick up,design,power,braking,tyres....oil cooling ....
bonny doesn't have rpm meter ? quite funny
You drive it by ear…
Every bike cannot be sporty
But if you want a Ducati, save up and buy the monster and thank me later.
I love the streetfighter .... saving up for that
Completely different bikes.
