Skating in America since about 2003 about arourd "yeah right" i dunno it just feels diffrent, its like more flashy and comercial and like uncomfortable white guys sort of acting like rappers, some even boardinering more on like guppy image thing. I guess the epitome of what im talking about it people like Rob Dyrdek. Its seems to be a very american phenomenon, and i know non of this is important but i guess, skating used to be a cool and unpretentious subculture.Maybe wrong video to bring it up.
True, the check isn't huge for the dudes who aren't doing contests. I suppose that excludes Danny and Bob because I'm pretty sure they're out doing those. Yeah, those dudes who skate like Daewon or Marc still get hurt but definitely not as much as dudes who are maybe doing stuff like Figgy or Dustin Dollin who are throwing themselves down huge shit and rails. And as for Andrew, you're right. I can't remember ever seeing him with a major injury which is actually pretty crazy.

Pretty much constantly in pain from jumping down big shit or injuries. But yeah, definitely awesome getting paid to actually do something you love, enjoy, and is never the same thing as the day before.

pro skater's life. earn enough money to buy a house and a bmw you meet a lot of interesting people and usualy you're on a team with lots of people who are a lot like you and I guess that's a good thing. BAKER,ANTIHERO,CREATURE for example you can do what you're passionate about anytime you want in this case is skateboaridng. good life but lots of them seem kinda unhappy and depressed at times
Andrew is a genius. Maybe that's why :) if you skate contests ( the big ones ) I think those guys are close to being millionaires or some shit. P-Rod,Shecks,Cole;Nyah..those guys. But emerica guys don't skate contests ever and I think they make pretty much a very good living. nice houses,cool cars all that shit. it's just that contest guys are on some different level that's much easier to sell to the crowd because it's live and there are commercials so they get some of that money.
