Although I can’t be sure and haven’t the means to verify it, I think that’s my mother amongst her siblings in the scene with the children holding hands and swinging their arms around the 5:35 minute mark. MacLeods from North River, Cape Breton.

The Gaelic church singers have more of an Irish Sean Nòs singing style than a Scots Gaelic

This is a sugarcoated snippet of a few areas of NS.
Purely propagandized, of only parts of NS. So much truth not shared in this…including the Mi'kmaq and Africans that came, as slaves and free; coming as United Empire Loyalists in the 1780’s when my British ancestors and so many others came. Mapannapolis is just one resource I know of, for some history.
