Thomas N is honestly a complete disappointment. I thought he was sweet and hella cute, but he's ending up being a villain's minion.
Devin is cool though. I think he's being himself in a fun way and that triggers the shallow hot boys to the max. I don't think being hated is a red flag at all, it's all about who hates you. And a lot of guys seem to like Devin anyway, clapping him on the shoulder and not siding with Ken aka Sam. Talk about insecure masculinity.
If I was Jenn, I would be pissed off with those producers for allowing him to come on without letting her know ahead of time. But no problem, you have to get a rose in order to stay on the show. So, all she has to not do is not give her ex a rose and he has to go anyway.
Even if she doesn't give him a rose, doesn't mean the producers aren't gonna let him get one. I'm pretty sure she gets to choose her top men, but producers choose the rest of the men for the drama or whatever.
It's also a pretty common theme, that an ex shows up. It has happened on several seasons. Or even a contestant from a different season might show up. It seems like some surprise person is always showing up.
Y'know the production is gonna pull a luke p to have this guy stay longer
How am I supposed to survive the rest of this season without Hakeem? There’s like nothing else to look forward to. I do hope Jenn’s ex brings his dog with him because even though he’s probably trash, his dog is absolutely adorable. He probably relies on his dog to help his image because the dog is infinitely more likable than him.
Also am I the only one who thinks Thomas is kind of terrifying?

I agree with you about Thomas N. The way he got angry when he thought he wasn’t getting a rose scared me a lot. He made it seem as if he was gonna super pissed off at Jen if she didn’t pick him. Thank the Lord they’re not in an actual relationship because I’d be scared to know what he would do if she tried to leave him
Thomas is giving the worst vibes! And I guess it's not even just his vibes its his actions as well so YES HE IS THE WORST. I liked him the first night with the bracelet I thought it was sweet but man did his other side come out quick.

What I dislike about this season so far is that you can tell Jenn is NOT into the nice guys but she's into the red flag annoying guys who she perceives are more exciting than the nice guys. When Joey was the Bachelor, it was nice to see women going for the good guy for a change.

I dont think that true. Marcus and Jonathon are very kind men. Give her a chance its the drama half after all and Men are such peacocks. They buried Kelsey deep for the frst half of last season too. Focused on Maria. She already sees through Sam you can tell.
Jenn probably gets suuuper little time with the “contestants” though, a lot of these men talk a fairly good game while being obnoxious to each other. I can’t imagine any of the squabblers as final pick either because editing and stuff. It’s exhausting to watch, sure, but I think Jenn is doing fairly well still
I like Jenn a lot but i think she’s too immature to be the bachelorette right now. If I was a producer I would’ve went with Lexi as my choice if Maria wasn’t willing to do it. Jenn is very young, and when your watching her she seems like she’s nervous and not confident in herself or the things she’s saying. I feel if she was a little more emotionally mature she would be able to sift through those men who obviously are only here to stir the pot and become the “next influencer” such as Sam.

Why is it that on the Bachelorette ex-partners and booted contestants can just waltz back in with the producer's blessings?
Even contestants have their exes come back on the Bachelorette, but that's more to give a heads-up to the lead. Like, what is production doing? The male contestants bring enough drama being terrible and catty because no one vets them well enough. No need to introduce convoluted drama while completely disrespecting the lead like that. Totally gross and lopsided treatment IMO.

So ngl I was only attracted to Sam N when he arrived on night one because he’s very handsome. I didn’t think I was actually gonna like him until the most recent episode.
He’s pretty relatable to me personally. Yes I agree that it’s probably too early for him to be telling Jen that he’s falling in love with her, buuuuut he also has never actually experienced that feeling so he could very well just be super excited that it’s happening. He has a child like wonder to him but that’s not a bad thing. He’s in touch with his emotions and I’m glad that both Jen and Devin reassured him that it’s totally valid for him to have those feelings and that he’s being open about them. People like Sam M and Thomas N who are just miserable seeing other people happy or accomplishing something make people like Sam N just want to bottle everything up. So seeing Sam N stand up for himself in the preview was really awesome to see. I don’t think Jen will pick him in the end, but I’m rooting for him to find his person who will accept him
What a sweet comment! I really enjoyed reading it and I respect your point of view. He seems like a really nice guy. He has a more calm and quiet demeanor and I think that's actually very charming. I'm glad to see him stand up for himself and other people standing up for him too. 😊❤
I don't think he's in love and he knows it. I think he just had to misdirect from having to do the strip act so he threw an "I love you" bomb out there. Other than that, he does seem like a nice enough guy, albeit inexperienced in the romance department.

Let’s talk sheep. I believe those are Polypay sheep which is an AMERICAN breed that, according to my research, hasn’t appeared to have caught on in New Zealand. I believe they must take a trip somewhere on the west coast, maybe Coastal Northern California.

huh, that's really good sleuthing but it doesn't seem to make sense given the show's timeline... plus the bg looks more like nz, doesn't it? unless this is during devin's hometown date? is he from north cal? but again the bg doesn't feel like the us altho ofc i could be wrong, esp since you seem to know ur sheep 😂
@@frecklesandwine One thing I don’t know is the show’s normal “time line” (I only watch the recaps) I.e. how much time they have left but I do know, especially as they appear to be mixing up the schedule this season, but I do know what I can find online: that Devin is from Texas and the show was filmed between April and May. And absolutely California has places that look like that in the Spring.
Another thing is the trees. Behind them while they kiss in front of the sheep and also in another clip from the season preview where Jenn is in the seemingly same outfit and says, “I just feel so hopeful for what’s coming at the end of this.” And those trees are classic coastal California. I have been able to find some similar trees endemic to New Zealand, but apparently they grow much taller.
For reference on what Coastal Northern California looks like I would recommend a very well done documentary called “Wine Country (2019).”

I wonder when they come back to Cali though, since currently they're heading to NZ, and their final filming location is Hawaii... and if this isn't during his hometown since he's from TX then idk.
also if it is in Cali then why wasn't the date at the beginning of the show, since that's where they start? it just seems counterintuitive that they would make another stop in cali again, before heading to Hawaii, when that's where they started in the first place. but maybe im getting it wrong lol who knows.

They’re also going to Seattle. 2 guys going next week in New Zealand, two after that then they start only sending one home at some point so it’s at least 6 or so weeks left. Right? The seasons already upside down so who knows? Didn’t one year they put them on a bus for a road trip?
I think they were hoping we’d get the space needle and sky tower mixed up.
I like Devin better than I did last week but Marcus is my favorite.
I’m just not feeling this season. I watched the premiere and started episode 2 but 10 mins in I just couldn’t do it anymore. This is the first season I haven’t watched in 7 years. Still watching your videos tho! they’re so much more entertaining, keep up the great work 👏🏼❤🌹
No hint of a two on one as far as I have seen, right? I could see them doing that with Devin and Sam…and Sam being sent home,
that's what im thinking too, where is the 2-on-1 and who will it be with?? I'm so curious. the only reason I hesitate to say devin is bc if he truly makes it to the finale, then it will be the first time that a final pick has ever been on a 2-on-1, to my knowledge. anyone on a 2-on-1 is usually never the lead's top contenders, hence why there's been at least 3/4 times on the show where the lead has sent both contestants home during the date lol. at best, the winner of the 2-on-1 makes it to the final 6, or hometowns, if they're super lucky. there's legit only been one time they've ever made it to the final 3, if I'm not mistaken, and that was Kendall during Arie's season. so if devin and sam go on the date and devin makes it to the final 2, that will be a first!
otherwise maybe this season doesn't have a 2-on-1? :( bc I know they've skipped it a few times... And as dumb as it sounds, that would make me really sad bc I always look forward to the 2-on-1, even tho it's super tense and awkward and unnecessary lol.

I agree that type of date makes for some funny tense TV. I personally think she’ll end up picking Devin as her final guy ( probably because I would myself…)… so yeah… maybe no 2 on 1 this season. Sam is as smarmy as they come.
@@jessicaalbright7429 omg that's so funny I want her to pick him too!!!! he's my fave out of all the guys and seems the most genuine and down to earth - altho that's not saying much lol, given that this group of guys particularly sucks. and altho I like him the most, I do see where ppl are coming from when they say he rubs them the wrong way, or gives them the ick, bc he can be very loud and obnoxious. But when it comes down to it, I believe his heart's in the right place. Not to mention he has a natural chemistry w Jenn and she seems to let her guard down around him, which I like. she only seems to be doing that around him and Jonathan atm.
I hope those are her final two, and not Marcus. Marcus is sweet from what we've seen, but I sense more chemistry between her and Jonathon. but we'll see; it's too early to say. esp bc we've seen so little of Jonathon so far, so I'm just going off a hunch and the vibes I'm getting from him now lol.
As for Sam M girl omg same I hate him so much and have hated his ass from the jump tbh. he gave me douchebag vibes to a T so the minute she said she likes him and gave him that first impression rose, I was soooo disappointed. I physically facepalmed when she did that, and have been cringing every time they have a scene since then. I hate how she's falling for his aggressive seduction act when it's the biggest BS I've ever seen. he just screams red flags all around honestly, I sensed it the minute he showed up. he's bad news, he's a narcissist just here to stroke his ego and fake it till he makes it; that's it. he couldn't care less about Jenn and her feelings; maybe just for a quick fling and to pretend for a few months if he makes it till the end. which god willing, he does NOT. bc istg, if he does, I will be genuinely pissed at Jenn for repeating her pattern of dating toxic men. and wasting my time watching the show lol

also sam M vs Spencer is a viable option since one is sweet sensitive golden retriever energy and the other is big toxic alpha dog energy. so maybe they could have some tension between them further down the line that we just haven't seen yet? bc the fact that the guys fight and bicker a lot already seems to be bothering Spencer, who seems to have no patience and energy for it. so again, if the 2-on-1 does happen and it's not Sam M & Devin, could be sam and Spencer! Or ofc Sam N "the love virgin" & Thomas is a good option but if they're being sent home next week, then that's not possible. Unless the date takes place next week which would be kinda early and unlikely given the preview doesn't show anything about it, but I guess it's technically possible...?

There is NOTHING attractive about a man that OTHER PEOPLE don't like. The best guys are the ones that everyone thinks is a nice guy, and that person that everyone likes - even other men. If you have a man who other men like, admire and respect, then you have the right one.

Very rarely, those men can be scary though. They're men's men and can be abusive but everyone loves them so you think you're the crazy one. My husband isn't a guy's guy but women loves him (not romantically though). He's in touch with his sensitive side.

Im kind of sad that this season hasnt gotten as much hype and support from the Asian Americans community as i hoping for seems like not much hype since the initial article and publicity.
I was super excited at first because both Jenn and Thomas N were adorbs and also Viet. Until he turned out pretty much like every viet guy I know, dramatic and a disappointment as always, had to simmer down. lol
But I am still cheering Jenn on tho.

No toxic masculinity...then again, my parents didn't raise someone who would not hesitate to take down anyone who is an arse. As far as Marcus, no. The producers are writing a story to sway the audience. I hear there are negative stuff on him. I like Jeremy and Jonathon the most. They both seem genuine and sincere...maybe add in Spencer, but there's something a bit off about him. I wish she'd gotten a better batch of guys. I saw her guys before the show aired and thought they did her wrong by giving her the worst looking guys this franchise has ever put out.

I doubt that as Jesse's tone seems to imply more "pre finale" energy. Also on the 2-on-1 the reason the lead has sent both home a few times (it's happened 3/4 times that I can think of) is usually bc neither of them are the lead's top pick in the first place. It's often two contestants that have tension with each other that weren't the lead's top choices anyway. I genuinely can't even think of a time that the winner of the 2-on-1 date ended up in the final two. They usually get eliminated by the final 6, or after hometowns, at most. The furthest I remember one going is final 3, and that was only once.
Also, I highly doubt Jenn would even have time for a private convo w Jesse in her hotel room like that, bc you usually hand out the 2-on-1 date rose during the day portion, unless you say you need more time, in which case you hand it out during the dinner date. (Which has happened a few times, so I guess it's possible, but I still think it's unlikely here.)

Is she gonna get down on one knee? Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I'm just trying to think logistics here bc her final pick will have have chosen an engagement ring at that point, so will they just not show it? Will she be putting a wedding band on his finger instead? It's def confusing lol. Maybe she sends her second choice home early - which has happened quite a few times on the show - so she has more time w her final pick and to ruminate on a proposal speech & she picks out a wedding band for him with Neil Lane? LOL who knows but that would be hilarious and I'm here for it!
Or maybe she decides to stay single at the end and that's why she's interrupting one of her final two and telling them she can't let them propose. Or more likely, she decides to tell her final pick she wants to be with him but that she just wants them to take it slow and date, instead of rushing into an engagement since she's not ready? We'll see, I guess!

I actually like Jeremy and Jonathon so far...but yeah, I'll probably hate them more as the season progresses. Marcus has too much of the producers trying to sway the audience and then there are the rumors you mentioned. I hope she totally chooses herself at the end. I'd be disappointed otherwise.

Great video, My relationship of 5 years ended a month ago. Based on someone mentioning the sheep could be American sheep, I Googled and it seems there’s plenty of sheep farms in Washington…..so Devin’s getting a 1-on-1 in Washington!
I don’t usually watch the whole show. I used to watch religiously with a roommate years ago but these days it’s hard for me to sit through all the filler, but I HAD to watch them do the stripping. But I can really see why she likes Devin and appreciate how he really is just funny and is putting himself out there for her when the other guys just seem competitive. I might even watch this whole season just because he’s so charming. I think he’s our winner.
The stripping date was awful. I wish they'd stop with the gross, humiliating dates.
