- Skoda Superb is mighty clever car. It's cheap and a bit plastic inside, but it's built so easily with mighty EA888 engine, which is currently more powerful, than Skoda claims. You can se the result easily. Superb weighs 1615 kg, meanwhile this BMW is 1850 kg. And THIS IS SO MUCH NOTICEABLE.

After the first watch I thought too that was insane result but when I noticed some facts I would say that the result wasn't so insane. Over 200kg difference as you said ,,this is so much noticeable'' so and the over 15 degrees difference. Anyways you are making good videos!
HP/Ton ratio isn't as big as you'd think. 280hp +1610kg=173 hp/ton, 306hp + 1850kg=166 hp/ton/ It's negligible and Superb killed it

Are you seriously think 4x4 is an advantage? It means more weight! Compare the weight of these cars. Doesn’t matters, it’s almost equal. Even when the power is similar, BMW has six-cyl 3.0L engine against 2.0 4 cylinder turbo. And even it’s not enough?

i have 272 sportline plus superb and its the ultimate sleeper car , only has a small 4x4 badge on the back , use to have a bmw 630 d grand turismo before which i think was about 270 bhp x drive and the skoda would murder it , every time i go out in the skoda it smile on my face , like golf r but overprices very nicable and prefer cars that are not as comon on the road , thinking of a vw t rock r next or audi sq2 ...

The n55b30m0 306ps engine was introduced in 2010. At that year I remember the EA888 only have 211ps.

Yes, Skoda superb is a relatively good family car(90% of Skoda's are boring 2.0tdi engines, not a 2L turbo engine), but oh man what a peoples buy this car, even worst than bmw owners, they think they have bought a Lamborghini or something, they are rude on the street. And Skoda is super common car brand in my country, everybody has one, so onwing one is superb boring in my opinion.

I doubt the difference is so big. With rolling start I am willing to bet that the BMW 535i beats the Skoda Superb. Even with over 200 kg difference, it has a bigger engine and a bit more power, and it is RWD, not AWD like the Superb is. The difference is too big from the videos you got put together. Could be also gauge cluster speed difference between them 2 cars.
Superb3 206kw after 2021 got powertrain from Golf 8R and is basically as fast as BMW540i minus pretty V6 sound.

Mateusz Nowak, do you know APR Racing? Try to watch, what they have done with Superbs.
With just a remap, no other upgrades, the skoda goes to 346hp and 492nm. With a bigger turbo, and injectors it goes up to around ~480hp before you have to upgrade clutch pack of the dsg and maybe some internals of the engine. Dont take it lightly just because its a skoda. I regularly beat bmws in my mk1 vrs because they act like bellends thinking their 6 cyl bmw is the king of the road and then they flash their lights at you angrily when you floor it and they cant overtake that "shitty skoda". Weight, gearing and tyres have a big word on how a car drives. Just because you have 230hp on paper doesnt mean that a 180hp car cant beat you.
@@muldix why do you compare engine from skoda that will last 1000km with that power... In comparison, bmw n54 will be more reliable with 700hp on wheels than 360hp skoda (without changing internals). That engine is a bicycle caompared to n54. N54 modern 2jZ.

How do we know either car was not on a hill (up or down?)? Ambient temps make a difference. Was the 2.0t modified? Who's to know it wasn't? Blah blah. Just not enough info here to say it was a fair comparison in any way. BTW - I hate BMW's... terrible brand.

I want to see the gps speed of both cars. I have seen a Skoda driving 220kph on the dial while it was only 190kph on gps and BMW often have good dials. I am no bmw fanboy, just wondering.
The superb has the same 2.0 TSI how the VW Golf R (Golf R have 310PS). And this Motors have so much Power in torque because of the big Turbos. In Combination with the double clutch DSG, they have a little bit more torque. The R6 of the BMW have a small turbo. Two Motors, two concepts.
The Platform from the Superb is from VW, because Skoda is part of the VW Group by the way. And VW have very accurate Speedometer.

The second part is not true; VAG doesnt have accurate dials. Its marketing so the VAG drivers think they have a fast car but in reality it isnt. Also the faster you drive the bigger the difference (this is with all cars). I have had a lot of VAG cars and I know this from the reality. My last VAG was Seat Leon 2.0 FR TDI and it probably will be the last VAG for me. Why? Because they are expensive to maintain, for that money I rather drive a BMW or a Mercedes. VAG cars have made a good reputtation because reliability and maintenance cost and I think the new models arent that good. Golf mk2 and 3 era for me👍.

My answer is based on experiences with BMW and Skoda.
I drove a BMW F21 116i 2018 for 3 Years and actually I drive the new 2020 Skoda Octavia with the 2.0TDI 110Kw.
I think both Cars have same accurate speed dials because they both drive the same thing according to google maps GPS.
I'm Using this Cars only for Work on the field.
I'm not a big Fan from Skoda or from BMW. They just have to work. 👍

There are plenty of x35i videos on TH-cam and they're much faster than this. That 535i is too slow above 200kph to be 300bhp.
Nah, this one is just stock while the others aren't. An RWD will ALWAYS loose a launch against an AWD with equal power (the 280hp 2.0 tsi on the dyno actualy has 300 hp stock) plus the gearbox of the BWM shifts like a snail in comparison with the DSG.
So nah, you can't ever win a 1/4 mile against such a Superb unless you tune the crap out of the F10.
Tho, the 2.0 tsi can reach 400 hp with a simple stage 2 tune without any trouble for the DSG.
(The block it self can withstand over 500 hp)
Still I would take the BMW over the Skoda any day….Skoda is only driven by people who can’t even afford an VW 😂

Let’s compare when both cars are under same boost pressure and see what happens :) 0.5 bar for the bmw vs 1.2 bar for the skoda stock.... @@kize32 du brauchst mir nicht erklären, wie die dinge sind. Ich arbeite schon etliche jahre im vw konzern und nicht alle tsi motoren sind ölschlucker. Aber es gibt ja bekanntlich nicht viele menschen mit fundiertem wissen, die meisten lesen etwas und quatschen es nach. Dazu gehörst du wohl auch.

Ein Tacho Video sagt garnichts da ich selbst den schon mal gefahren bin im Passat allerdings und weiß das der sehr zäh wird oben der fühlt sich nicht nach 280 ps an auf 230 geht es noch dann kämpft er sich richtig hoch da ist ein 740i VFL G Modell schneller
