#2. The Cholas conquered n destroyed Srivijaya kingdom. Then ruled over almost all SE Asian, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Parts of Thailand, parts of Vietnam, parts of Burma. Cambodia was the ally of the Cholas they were not conquered but slowly assimilated.

A few years ago, I went to Kasol with my friends. That place is in Himachal State of India in the north and is called "mini Israel". Many Israelis come and spend weeks in the mountains and love the hippy culture that has emerged as a result. The shops have their titles and descriptions in Hebrew along with regional languages and even some shopkeepers speak Hebrew. It's so amazing how an area far far away from Israel has come to be associated with it. A lot of love for my Israeli brothers and sisters from India

And last but not the least they celebrate Krishna Janmashtami ( Birth day of Lord Krishna ) and distribute Prasad to whole village...Like wise we go to Synagogue every year to celebrate their function Mandwa...They welcome us very warmly...

We have been around since the First Deportation. i and my family (both paternal and maternal lineages) stem from the first deportation to Babylon, through Persia and finally we ended up in India. Back in 1984 while my aliyah was done in Eretz, I suggested to some officials from the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs that there are quite some unknown and unsuspected Jewish remnants in other parts of India, namely unexplored parts of Andra Pradesh. This helped a whole community to return to Eretz from Guntur in 1984. And the exodus from exile keeps on. I was watching World War-2 in colour on Netflix, around 2013 when I got to know that what Europeans especially Germans, Austrohungarians and Ukraininan did with this peaceful community of jewish minding their own business, and progressing in life with their hard work, business acumen and brilliant problem solving qualities. They progressed so much that they got opportunity to be on the top posts in every sector of government and due to their international relations they were the top business houses of Europe. Which certainly a white supremacist or an Islamic supremacist will never accept. I thought that similar things happened with Hindus throughout the history, but both Hindus and Jewish never took a violent way to achieve something and never launched an offensive, they were never aggressors but always defenders. That is I think Hindus connection with the Jewish apart from being one of the oldest living civilizations on the earth.

I live some 10 kilometers away from the city of kochi in Kerala, India. during my younger days I have seen lots of Jews in the western part of kochi (mattancherry).
that township still has a Jew street and had a Jew as mayor. he (Mr S Koder) was voted to power by the Muslim majority of the town. he was a rich businessman and was very hospitable. they say he had at least a hundred people of all religions in his house for supper every evening. people of mattancheri loved him.
there was a Jewish lady professor in one of the collages where I studied (maharajah's college, ernakulam, in the eastern part of kochi). I have also come across 3 very prominent jewish doctors at kochi.
there was a very large community of Jews in another town, not very far from kochi (Chennamangalam). I have seen the synagogue there and there are some Hebrew signage in front of the houses there. there is another synagogue in the small town of north paroor, apart from the synagogue at Chennamangalam. there is another Jew street in the heart of the town of north paroor and also in the eastern part of kochi.
Israel took away our Jews and I do not like Israel for that. Jews were part of our culture and heritage.

The only thing that I saw in India was Sasson Hospital and a Large Synagogue called Lal Deul (Red temple) but if you might have met a Jew you would not even realise as they are like any other India.We had a decorated General Sir Sam Manekshaw on whom a new movie is being released Sam Bahadur.. In the UK I had a fatherly figure who cared for me for the 3 months i stayed in UK named Jonathan Harris.
I'm Indian Jews and we are very happy here and safe.... I lived to Israel for 5 years but I didn't felt welcoming there most of the Israelie jwes ppl were behaving very weird I always felt outsider there and 5 years existences I decided to move back to my lovely India.....
