    1) Yes, you are right it still amazes me a Bhartiya (Indian) also, how a country so diverse like Bharat (India). Despite being so, diverse still follow the same core of respect and assimilating every culture set foot on its land. But all this makes me more proud of our Dharmic principles that unite the entire Bharat in one single thread despite being so diverse.
    2) That's why since time immemorial despite Bharat being politically divided into many parts, but we never see social disharmony and hatred among different communities in the entire Bharat.
    3) Kings used to fight for lands and power in Bharat but don't do communal and religious massacres and genocides like other religions and races did in the world's history.

I am from Kerala and have visited the synagogues in Mattancheri and Fort Kochi and they both are really amazing imo. Such vital and integral local historical monuments they really are.

Most of the school tours are going through this synagogues.. When I was in my 4 th standard that was my first time I visited these places.. But that time I don't know nothing.. Just gone there and looks the colours and designs inside there.. Then after I reach my high school. I visited my second time. From that day I realised the culture of Israeli people and I started to love them. This place is so calm. Now a days also, if I visit kochi, I definitely visit this place also.. Just like we call french town for places in India which reflect French heritage from the past.....it is not ment offend anyone......just a reminder to ppl to respect and preserve history the way it was.....

Jew town in Kerala had a different meaning.... There were two main kind of jews in Kerala..The Black Jews or native Jews who came very old and assimilated completely as Malayalees... The White Jews or Paradesi Jews who came later and didn't fully assimilate though they speak Malayalam etc.. This Paradesi Jews were given a special area close to Royal Palace to establish their zone.
Jews originally had given special rights by the Kerala Emperor and carried ranks of Prince with 72 royal privilege... In accordance to this law, the white jews were given right to establish their own area or settlement which they called Judahapattanam or Town of Jews... Its not a Ghetto as this town shares common wall with the Royal Palace and infact has even an exclusive gate for Jews to enter into Palace compound as they ranked princely title.
This area is unique as u have Jew town in one side and a Muslim settlement on its other side with Palace and its temple in middle... So If u look from middle, u see Synagogue on right, mosque minarets on left and Hindu temple in middle, all in walking distance...

I'm from Kerala. My grandmother used to tell us stories about her friendship with a Jewish girl during her childhood (My grandmother passed a long time ago. I miss her). Her Jewish friend and most of the Jews in Kerala left for Israel long ago. However, this is a common theme here. Seniors still speak fondly about the Jewish presence here. And even the youngest generation here is aware of the Jewish history in Kerala - even if they have not met any Keralite Jews. The Jewish Synagogues, settlements and tombs are very important heritage sites for the people here - it isn't just a government protected site. They're here to stay for a long time. (PS: There are similar protected sites from other communities too. We just love our history - irrespective of religion). And there are reasons to believe that this connection isn't a one-way affair. I've seen TH-cam videos of Israelites speaking Malayalam (the language of Kerala). Some connections just transcend time and generations.

i visited the cochin synagogue in like 2004. glad it seems to have been given a facelift and restoration since then. the kerala coast was home to (wealthy) jewish traders in the BC times, and when the exodus happened after the failed revolt and temple destruction, many new settlers moved there.
fun fact that nobody seems to bring up enough is that one of the reasons *very* early Christianity had a strong base in malabar is because pre-saul christianity preached to jews primarily, and the existing jewish population was a an early seed for the population. the Portuguese 1400 years later found many the native christians still holding to "old covenant" practices (like circumcision etc).

you are right. India is a very big country.People who follow different cultures and lifestyles can be seen traveling with each of the states in India. You can see the descendants of the Muslim dynasties as well as the historical monuments of the royal period in India.Once upon a time there were French colonies in India. Their descendants can be seen in India. Historical monuments of their time can also be seen in India.Similarly, there were Portuguese colonies in India. Historical monuments of their time can be seen in India. The kings of Kerala and the Netherlands have fought wars as their naval forces.Historical monuments of the last British rule in India can also be seen here.If you are a nature lover then welcome to my home state of Kerala.Kerala is the most literate state in India.Kerala preserves historical monuments in the best possible way.The recent Israel-hamas war.An Indian home nurse was killed in a rocket attack by Hamas in Israel. Her name was Soumya Santosh. She is from Kerala.

On our visit to Kerala my dear wife and I were able to see all these Jewish places and especially the Pardesi Synagogue. Absolutely thrilled by our visit. I sincerely wish the relationship and friendship lasts for eternity. It's sad that you think the word Jew brings you insulting memories , but that is because of hate by Europeans and islamists. I assure you that Hindus NEVER think in that manner, Jews have NEVER been harmed in any way in India. India has gained so much from their people, one example is of General Jacob who fought and won the war against Pakistan. Shalom and Namaste. 🇮🇱🕉️🇮🇳

The city of Kolkata also has a rich Jewish history. They were mainly Baghdadi Jews. Kolkata Jews were prosperous businessmen who contributed a lot to Kolkata's economy. Nahoums bakery and cake shop is a heritage bakery owned by a Jew that still serves Kolkata. For us Bengalis Christmas is incomplete without the plum cake of Nahoums. Jews now number only around 50 to 70 as most have migrated to Israel.

🇮🇱❤️🇮🇳 jews and hindus use to trade since ancient times through sea routes. Most of the Hindus/sikhs/jains/Buddhists were peaceful and tolerant twords every religion many jews started living near the coastal belts of India. Same is with the zorestrians(parsis) they also used to trade through sea routes in India. They also similarly migrated India as they where religiously persecuted by Muslims in iran and iraq. Christianity and Islam has a history of religious persecution to other small and peaceful religions. India was the most peaceful place where people from every religion used to live happily until the Muslims and British invaded India. Though India was one of the richest country which contributed nearly 25% of worlds gdp before British then to India never Invaded any other country nor the religions that are born in India(hindus/sikhs/Buddhists/jains) never religiously persecuted any religion on earth. ♥🙏🏻🇮🇱
