    The Acura has a direct TPMS system that has sensors in the wheels. The Civic has indirect, which does not use sensors in the wheels. I personally prefer the indirect systems, because if you want to get another set of wheels & tires you don’t have to buy new sensors.

    I have a 2023 Integra 6 speed and I've put over 5k miles in less than 3 months of ownership. It is a blast to drive and the added features, mainly the 16 Speaker ELS Studio 3D system, are great to have as well. Just really wish they put rear seat vents and a rear wiper. "if you get a car for msrp you're going to get a car that's worth 10 grand more" That's how I got my integra A spec. I had gotten a 2024 civic sport and paid in full, and was offered 10,000 more than what I paid so I went and got the Integra. Decided if i'm gonna spend over the 28.5k msrp of the SI i might as well go integra so called around Acura's the PA/NJ area in early June. Clinton told me they don't do markups but it would not be in soon enough for what I needed (may even be the one you currently have on deposit!). Ended up getting mine from Turnersville with no markup and picked it up a couple weeks ago just under 40k out the door, a bit more than what I originally wanted to spend for a car but in this market I'll take msrp if I can get it

      Learning has been not too difficult. At first I struggled pretty badly (accidentally started in 3rd instead of 1st way too many times!), but after like 4 hours total or so I pretty much got the hang of it. still not perfect by any means, but I make fewer and fewer mistakes every time I use it. Honestly my biggest recommendation if you have no manual experience at all is just practice starting and stopping around a neighborhood or empty lot and you'll get it down in no time. I bought the Integra as my first manual car and I absolutely love the car and learning on it; 2k miles in. Wish my 1-3 gear shifts were smoother though... Only thing that kind of makes me tick about the car is how fast you rev the engine at 1st gear... barely reach 10mph and I'm already at 2.5/3k rpms and need to shift into second, even though I barely moved!

    • @Ryeric1
      @Ryeric1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah the gears are shorter for better acceleration since it’s a lower HP car, and it being a 6-speed allows for that as well. Me being used to longer 5-speed ratios, it would definitely be interesting to adjust to a shorter ratio 6-speed. Don’t get me wrong though, I’d absolutely love the shorter ratios. Way better acceleration I’d imagine.

Just here and there a few proper accelerations from standstill or showing torque capability in cruising gear on the highway, maybe downshift quickness in x gear also when cruising on the highway, perhaps a few quicker corner runs with different suspension setting and talking us through the feeling of differences. Also perhaps pick a specific rough,poorly maintained stretch of road and always drive each car over it and compare it, its also easier this way for viewers to get a sense of suspension comfort.

I think it's insane that Acura would create a base Integra for 2023 with the exact same engine as the Si, and performance literally stuck 16 years in the past. Acura has a special talent when it comes to disappointing afterthought releases based on Hondas.... But if you think about it, it's really not that different than times past as far as Honda/Acura has always been a "mod" car for performance-minded people.
    That is, it's a great platform to start with for what people have done with Hondas for Generations. And that is to mod it out. Tunes, Bolt-ons, suspension, etc. It's a bulletproof engine/transmission.

    I didn't realize the Si takes premium. Kind of a bummer for only 200 hp, but the fuel mileage certainly makes up the difference. I'm just sick of filling up 2 premium cars, especially when it's about 75¢ more than 87 currently. But again, if I got 40 mpg I probably wouldn't mind buying premium- my better car gets 22 mpg and the other one gets about 17. Thankfully I work at home

      @@Malar1898 lol, it's only human nature to be self-centered and complain when your own situation gets worse relative to what you're used to 😉. Also in fairness, most commuter cars in Europe have had less than 3 liter engines, and in many cases less than 2 liter engines for almost ever. Whereas up until more recently, it was pretty common over here to have a thirsty ~3.5 V6 as a base engine in a family car. All that to say, we're not as well equipped as you guys, and it's our own fault really. (And you know what they say about spoiled kids 😂)

    Still baffled by the comparison reviewers constantly make between the modern BASE powertrain Integra to the classic Integra Type R. The car we currently have should be compared to the Integra LS/GS. Will have to wait for the Type S for a fair comparison to the classic Integra Type R. Probably will show up as a 2024 model at the earliest, considering that the Civic Type R is still waiting to be released this year.

    Great channel. It's nice to be able to see the experience of driving certain cars! Especially with the way cars are sold these days. Dealerships don't really give a lot of information, and they don't have any in-person examples to show. I'm in the midst of trying to order a 2023 Toyota Camry TRD/XSE V6, and I have no idea what it's going to look like. I like that they have added the interior options of an XSE to the TRD this year, but I'm not sure if they've changed the exterior. Would be really awesome if you could let me know if it is going to look the same as a 2022, but with XSE interior options.

    As it’s nearly 100% mechanically identical to the Si, I don’t think the $10,000 price difference (plus the inevitable dealer markup) is worth it. While the Si lacks some of the creature comforts the Integra has, it is not a bad interior and has the premium Bose sound system. When choosing between the two, I’d opt for the Si and save that $10,000 (or potentially more due to markups).
