Basically the legacy of the Jagged Fel/Jaina Solo marriage, since before that the Fels weren't Force sensitive.
Wedge Antilles Funny how (technically) Roan Fel is a Skywalker due to Jaina Solo being Leia's daughter.
Yeah, Fel,Solo Skywalker, and Antilles, hell of an ancestry.

I haven't even read the Star Wars Legacy comic series and I love the Fel Empire/Imperial Knights... I'm really thinking about finally buying the Legacy series, it just sounds so epic!
I always like Force Users outside of the Jedi and Sith. Makes things more interesting.

They really are and just have a different code due to who they serve under. If only the Imperial Knights could make a return as either good, bad or neutral.
Imperial Knights are not gray. They are 100% light side. They just don't serve the Force like the Jedi do. They exist to make sure their Emperor/Empress stays in the light side.

What makes the Imperial Knights so unique is that they resemble an actual order of knights truly dedicated to their leader. In many ways, the Fel Empire resembles a genuine imperium with a strong sense of tradition and it's subjects serve their leader out of respect and genuine loyalty rather than fear. Whereas Palpatine's Sith Empire was more of a militaristic dictatorship with Palpatine's use of a throne was more an act of display, while also disregarding any ceremonially attire or show of status, preferring to wear his Dark Sith robes and didn't seem to be interested in the idea of a royal family, eventhough he wouldn't mind a successor related to him, though he already placed Darth Vader as his heir, because he is his apprentice. Palpatine's real pride in power was his mastery of manipulation as well the Dark Side of the Force itself.

I actually plan on creating my own personal star wars story with an order of grey jedi in the story and im thinking of calling them templars just to give them a bit of a christian warrior cause i think that's cool
who is the fel empire
it all starts back with Imperial Fighter Ace Soontir Fel, who married Syal Antilles, after living among the Chiss he sends his son from the Unknown Regions, to report on the Yuzhan Vong War back to the Chiss. Well his son Jagged Fel becomes the head of the Imperial Remnant, and marries Jaina Solo, this eventually becomes the Fel Empire.

+Danny Red no, these were in the comics exclusively and the stories with them took almost a century after episode six.
+Danny Red Legacy was 130 years ABY, the Fel Empire was basically the old Imperial Remnant that was a more benevolent version of the Empire(ie: No Xenophobia).

+Cameron Garcia the fel empire I believe had a treaty with the new republic into forging them together or something else. But the knights weren't destroyed. They were in one of the last EU comics helping the new emperor and stormtroopers defeat the last of the sith.
His daughter took over.And a Triumvirate between the Empire, Galactic Alliance, and Jedi was formed.

Noah Shain They served the Emperor Roan Fel as long as he followed the will of the force (light side.) They believed in balance, but they did not stray to the dark side. Should Roan Fel fall to the dark side, the Knights would be forced to either redeem him or kill him. Fun fact: Roan Fel is actually a distant Solo descendant, as is his daughter.

Noah Shain Distant but yes, cousins. The marriage of Jaina Solo (Han and Leia's daughter) and Jagged Fel was the start of the Fel family being force sensitive, which in a way makes them all distant Skywalkers and relatives to Cade lol. Small galaxy eh?

Great question, complete stranger. Cortosis is very rare and difficult to mine. Creating an entire suit out of it would be very expensive, although it would also be very awesome.

"Difficult to mine" is an understatement. Unprocessed cortosis is ionized to the point of lethality with a simple unprotected touch.
@@Zer0SumGame IIRC, it's also pretty brittle. Some slug-throwers can easily damage and disable cortosis suit.

Joseph Vassallo I know this is late, but they're from the Star Wars Legacy comics. Highly recommend it. The Imperial Knights are only one of many awesome things about it.
