It kinda makes me wonder how things would have turned out if the Empire's officers weren't so focused on politics and climbing up the ladder. Or if they had the mindset of actually working together instead of who to cast the blame on.
I think Grand Admiral Thrawn and his shipmates would be the best reflection of Good Imperials. :-)
Pelleon and Veers are also good examples of actual good and competent Imperials
The blaming mentality wasn't really how the Imperials WANTED to be, but when you work for people that will enslave or murder you for mistakes, blaming tends to become the default.
Past imperials would say that the reason they lost was because of all the individuality

would've been so much more interesting if they used the Imperial warlords plot line along with the Palpatine plan. Imagine a three way battle among the Imperial remnants with Rae Sloan representing the best parts of the Empire (those that served for selfless reasons) fighting against the corrupt Warlords of the Empire such as Ysanne, Jeric, etc and finally the Palpatine loyalists following his contingency orders who eventually become the First Order.
the sequel trilogy could've easily started with the closing periods of the conflict with Rae Sloan getting assassinated and the last of the Imperial remnants getting absorbed into the First Order after a series of assassinations in the backdrop while Imperial remnants were having fleet to fleet battles with the New Republic. None of the reset to zero nonsense that happened with Star Killer Base just to repeat the original trilogy

Paul Steinhauser she has a really cool design and story. I would approve. Also makes more sense and connects it better than “here is a secrete buttload of ships from the unknown region called the first order.” Would tie it much more nicely with the conclusion of 6.
Actually, Ysanne had one son who was Force sensitive. In the book, Children of the Jedi )probably my favourite of the now Legends books), Isard is grooming him for power, and inplanted him with a chip to allow him to control any droid. Meanwhile, Ysanne reactivated a hibernating revenge weapon the Emperor had made. It's an interesting story. Luke finds a love interest that isn't Mara in a dead Jedi. It's not as weird as it sounds. . .
Not a favorite of mine, but the book and its sequel Darksaber do have their moments.
Not sure about Planet of Twilight myself though. That book was too bonkers for its own good, though it had Leia do lightsaber combat against the corrupted Hutt Jedi Beldorion.

Armand Isard appears often in the comic series Agent of The Empire. He also appears in the book Labyrinth of Evil.
Ysanne Isard appears as the main villain of the second half of the Rogue Squadron comic series. She is also the main villain of the first 4 X-Wing books, and returns in book 8, Isard's Revenge.

Well, I don't know too much about her aside from what I've learned in the video. She betrayed her own father, the person who made her as successful as she is now, attempted to manipulate the emperor, and she convinced an entire council to remove an imperial warlord from office, making her the new leader.
Yeah she may have helped the empire out when it was still in power, but I honestly believe that she was just looking out for herself. If palpatine wasn't the smartest guy in the galaxy, I think she would've used him at most rather than the other way around. She's really not that different from the other moffs who turned on eachother once there was a power vacuum, at least that's what I think.

When I was working at West End Games, Grand Surface Marahals (equivalent to Grand Admirlas) wore red. But both ideas never made it to print. Until Grand Admiral Thrawn which brought back the idea of all white uniforms.

Considering how much damage the Warlords and Reborn Emperor did...he comes off as fairly benign really. He was talented but nowhere near unbeatable. Some of the other Grand Admirals were just as dangerous if not more so in that they lacked his restraint.

(Fun fact the iconic video/photo is actually a 2nd flag that was raised to boost moral as everyone could see it, and because of that they took fire. The first flag was a small pocket flag, ever since US soldiers have replicated this, such as in the movie We Were Soldiers with a small flag put on a tree)

I'd like to know how they had a Super Star Destroyer hidden as a giant building, standing up. How did they have it built there, and how did people move around corridors that were meant to be walked in a different orientation?

I believe the empire restricted the area around the destroyer and claimed that it was some important imperial facility
I think they even disguised the interior to make it appear like someone was on kessel because they decided to keep republic prisoners in there. But I been a while since I read anything about that so maby I'm wrong
I think it was buried horizontally under the surface of Coruscant? Which makes absolutely no sense (no matter what kind of Force-trickery Palpetine does, people would still notice it being hidden there) but anyway that's what happened.
I think Palatine cared more that he failed to kill his daughter and that she survived and figured it out.

I find it funny how in legends, it says that stormtroopers were a seperate branch of the imperial military and were some of the more uncommon troops in the empire when in every movie, book, comic, and video games from legends has them portrayed as the standard frontline rank and file soldier.

One is Armand Isard's daughter Ysanne- per Anthony Heald's performance on the 'Bacta War' Trilogy tapes on where this is based, Ysanne's name is pronounced 'EE-sahn-negh'. The other flaw is the name of the Lusankiya, the Executor-class Star Dreadnought she escaped Coruscant with during the fight with the New Republic, the name is pronounced 'LOO-sahn-KEE-ah.' Sorry for the bother, but wanted to point that out! Cheers, respects, and keep up the great work! :)
