Journalist has excellent pronunciation of Urdu. Current conversations with Journalists and Javed is same questions but twisted. Same about his childhood, Gabbar and ek ladki ki ko dekha etc. This man is well read and has strong rational. conviction . Someone must interview him who is an intellectual and put across that has not been asked so far. Javed is a treasure of knowledge and more can be digged out.

@ azmat khan, Nobody denies Bollywood uses Urdu. Javed Akhtar himself has said that there is not much difference in the structure between the 2 languages: Urdu and Hindi except in the words that can be interchangeably used. You can say "aap yahan baithiye" and both urdu speakers and hindi speakers will understand. In pure Urdu it would by "aap yahan tashreef farmayen" while Hindi speakers will say "aap yahan aasan grahan karen"! Nobody speaks these pure sentences. The street language is common. That is why bollywood is seen in Mumbai as well as in Lucknow, Karachi etc. Besides, in India Urdu is not considered a foreign languge but is one of the 18 official languages. That is not the case in Pakistan where Hindi, Bengali are all considered foreign.
Only a person who is influenced by post modernism n existentialism can write "mere mukhalif ne chal chaldi hi" . "Zara dekh tu lo" is real , but lachar . Bhai तू जिंदा है तो ज़िन्दगी की जीत में यकीन कर.
i think mr.javed akthar as the age is going by is becoming mad of congress, and thinks that he is equal to 90% of indians when he says 90% of the indians dont like Mr.modi, similarly another one Mr.U.R.Anantha murthy from karnataka is as mad as mr.javed akthar when he says he would like to die the day Mr.modi becomes the prime minister. these writers stand in que begging before the politicians for getting awards from the government, they try to get all kinds of recommendations from politicians.
